Dating back to 1909, this family-run hotel and restaurant is located 500 metres from the centre of Solferino. All air-conditioned rooms come with free Wi-Fi and an LCD TV. Lake Garda is a 20-minute drive away. Traditional cuisine from Mantua is served at the Alla Vittoria restaurant. The dining room features stone fireplaces and elegant chandelier lamps. Reviewed By Jagman42Stayed here for 5 nights on a business trip. The family running the hotel were very friendly and helpful and looked after us very well. Dinner and breakfast were excellent with plenty of choice. The room was clean, tidy and the bed was comfortable and overlooked a small piazza. Wednesday is the kitchen's day off so needed to find another restaurant for that evening which wasn't a problem. There is secure parking available on site. We had to leave before breakfast on Friday morning and were kindly given a picnic breakfast to take with us. Lovely touch and much appreciated. Would definitely stay again if in the area as there is plenty to see and do locally that we did not have time for.

Reviewed By dobbertravelsLovely hotel in a quiet Italian village away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Lake Garda. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke great English. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great and a real bargain at 5 Euro. Rooms were immaculately clean and modern. Air con nice and cool. Lovely view onto the square with even a fly screen to prevent insects. Fridge in room was very helpful as we were travelling with a baby. Highly recommended!

Relaxing working farm with excellent restaurant, pool, archery, judo, and very clean rooms
Reviewed By Sarah LVery pleasant quiet location with very nice host family. The breakfasts are very good and include homemade cakes and bread every morning. Since we booked last minute and stayed 2 weeks we had to stay a couple of days in rooms and the rest in a studio apartment. The family was very gracious about the move, helping us bring our things into the studio once it was cleaned for us while being flexible about check in check out times. Both the rooms and Studio are very nice. The farm is ideally situated for for day trips to Lago di Garda, Mantova, verona, the mountain lakes (Idro, ledro,...), Breschia, etc... Since the restaurant was so good and resonably priced we ate there several times. We enjoyed the cooling off in the pool everyday.

A corner of paradise in which to find space and time to relax and enough freedom to undertake new projects and to restart dreaming. Hospitality takes place in the ancient and fascinating stone made buildings, surrounded by a green and fragrant living world, in marvellous cottages, fully renovated with healthy and sustainable materials, decorated in typical Italian style by mixing high antiques with contemporary design objects. SOLIMAGO is a restaurant too and proposes a very exclusive vegetarian and vegan cuisine.

Reviewed By a.s. vBehind the large door you enter a seemingly bygone culture. Has time stood still? Impressive 17th century buildings in which the large rooms give you a wonderfully rich feeling. Asking for dishwashers here seems madness. Some understanding of the culture is recommended. The bathrooms are also up to date, and the central heating and induction hobs work fine. The beautiful swimming pool invites some physical exertion, although you can also enjoy a lovely walk between the hills and the vineyards. Host and hostess do their best to make this extra attractive. Their wine and juices are a must try! There is room for the kids in the beautiful gardens. Breakfast and meals are vegetarian. (but a nonvegetarian Pizzeria is at 50 meters distance.) The price/quality ratio is OK. We'll be back!

Reviewed By Mary BThis hotel is really past it's sell by date. Large rooms but so dark - several light bulbs not fitted. No toiletries supplied but an empty rack left in the bathroom! Just soap and lotion for the shower. 2 toilet rolls for 3 nights - no extras supplied. WIFI was intermittent. The bed was large but the base squeaked and every time we moved it creaked all night. Limited variety of items for breakfast. Catering in the evening was awful. Melted sorbet (with a straw!) for dessert one evening, Just a slice of Vienetta another evening. Soup (the same!) for 2 out of three nights. Do not eat there - go into the village. Our air conditioning had to be switched on at reception to work!!

Reviewed By Alexander GFür Kinder ist dieses Objekt sehr geeignet. Der Pool ist ein absolutes Highlight und für Kinder optimal. Die Zimmer sind sauber und modern. Wir hatten mit sechs Personen eine Ferienwohnung mit drei Schlafzimmern und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Gastgeberfamilie ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Neben dem Pool gibt es noch einen abgeschirmten Kinderspielplatz. Auf dem Hof gib es auch Bienenvölker von denen sich hin und wieder 1-2 an den Pool verirren. Vorsicht bei Allergigern. Bei Halpension wird das Frühstück am Pool eingenommen. Das Abendessen wird dann im Restaurant serviert, welches zum Objekt dazu gehört. Hier liegen auch die einzigen beiden "Haken" warum das das Casa Villi nicht 5 von 5 Punkten erhält. Zum Einen muss man zum Restaurant fahren. Es ist zwar nur 2km entfernt, allerdings führt eine schmale, unbeleuchtete Straße ohne Gehweg dorthin. Gerade auf dem Rückweg und mit Kindern nicht geeignet um zu Fuß zu gehen. Das Restaurant an sich ist ein Spezialiätenrestaurant für Fisch. Es gibt für HP Gäste durch den Koch zusammengestellte Menüs, die oftmals Fisch beinhalten. Für Fischliebhaber ein Traum (Qualität und Geschmack stimmen). Gerade mit Kindern empfielt es sich am ersten Abend deutlich zu sagen, ob Fisch gegessen wird oder nicht. Abweichungen vom Menü sind möglich. Grundsätzlich ist aber alles sehr lecker und sehr reichlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hier sehr positiv. Alles in allem als Ort für einen Urlaub mit Kindern sehr zu empfehlen.

What a DISASTER !!!! NEVER EVER BOOK THIS LISTING AND ANY OTHERS FROM THIS OWNER!!!

And what a big disappointment is when yesterday I was arrived in the accommodation and called the host to get the key, he said YOUR RESERVATION IS CANCELED!!!! AND HE HUNG UP THE PHONE. I was really upset, I have been driving 15hours to get to this apartment with small kids and then in the end I have nothing to stay. I contacted airbnb for help, and they was trying to call the owner but no answer, I have been waiting for almost 2 hours until airbnb would decide what they will do. In the end, I am really disappointed, how come they did this, it's unacceptable. So travelers, I warned you, don't ever book this listing or any listing what Simone has on airbnb or everywhere . You will be really disappointed. They ruined our holidays, really unbelievable!!!
