Good place to stay, but for a price too high
Reviewed By Willem SWe stayed 3 nights, booked via booking.com. The staff was friendly. Helped with finding trains and hiking suggestions. The room was old fashioned, situated above the kitchen. Inside the room the temperature was too high. Only with a complete open door to the balcony it was ok. The breakfast was however very good with fresh fruit, a menu of eggs and tastefull capucino. We had one eveving dinner and enjoyed the tastefully prepared meal. But again the temperature of the dining room was a real problem..A friendly little old fashioned hotel...but 88 euro per person including breakfast is too much.

A pleasant stay
Reviewed By zorteanPros: Friendly, helpful staff and good service. Our room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was very good and the desert buffet served at the Gala dinner was outstanding. The Tyrolean evening was also very good and very generous. If you’re not big eaters, share the main course! There is WIFI near reception and a large underground garage nearby. There were some good wines on the wine list. Cons: The toiletries provided were certainly not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel. We were provided with only one sachet of shower gel and two of shampoo and had to buy shower gel the next day. The heating only came on at around 6.30pm so if you wanted to spend time in your room in the afternoon, it was rather chilly. The normal evening meals reminded us a little of a company canteen – nothing exciting and the main courses were all served with the same accompanying dishes, e.g. one evening polenta, another evening potatoes.

A wonderful night in a lovely place
Reviewed By Jason Tlovely accommodation with a superb "wellness centre". They provided a motorbike garage for us too. The town was very beautiful and we had a great evening. The hotel's pizzeria was fantastic. We will be back!

We understand that this is a working farm so expected the usual early morning farm work to be going on but the family stayed up late talking very loudly and shouting to each other outside and starting up motorcycles and scooters and riding them around the yard after 10 at night A lot of the food was homegrown and home produced which is great but the menu is very limited and there is no where close by to eat out, beer was warm. We didn't stay for breakfast we just wanted to get out as early as we could. There was only one person who spoke a little English, the daughter, she was helpful but the owners in general were not welcoming or friendly. This is not a typical farm although animals are kept and we wouldn't use again

Great room, good food, good location
Reviewed By Adrian WWe had a large room on the recently (<2 years ago) completed top floor directly under the roof. The bathroom included a very large luxurious free-standing bath tub, but no stand-up shower. We had booked half-board, and very much enjoyed the five course evening meals - one reason we returned to this hotel after a short stay a couple of years earlier. Don't expect nouveau cuisine - what you get here is a mixture of classic Austrian and Italian food, excellently prepared, full of rich flavours. The hotel is conveniently located just around the corner from the centre of the village of Schluderns (or Sluderno, if you prefer your South Tyrolean placenames in Italian) and just about 5 minutes walk from the Vinschgerbahn railway station, which makes it a great base for exploring this part of the Venosta valley (Vinschgau) using public transport and on foot. The owner runs the hotel with the help of other family members in a very charming and friendly manner.

leider nur auf Durchreise...
Reviewed By valkyriefahrer...hätten wir gerne die Gastfreundlichkeit, die schönen Zimmer und den Grandiosen Ausblick länger genossen. Wir denken wir holen das nach. Abseits gelegen, doch nicht aus der Welt, vom Ort geht einen 5km lange Bergstraße zum Bauernhof bei dem Altes und Neues gekonnt verbunden wurde. Wanderwege führen von hier gleich in die Bergwelt. Zum "Ruhe finden" genau das richtige... man entkommt den Streß des Tales. Von unserem Balkon hatten wir den Blick über das Vinschgau und auf den Ortler. Frühstück und Abendessen genial, mit liebe gemacht und wirklich aus eigenem Anbau. Also wirklich alles top. Vielen Dank noch einmal.
