Looking forward to 4th stay in June. Found this beautiful place 7years ago. Fantastic facilities hotel right on beach. Rooms large beautiful views whichever you choose, overlooking pool, mountains or in my opinion top floor overlooking Slano bay. Cleanliness first class, lovely staff always remember return visitors and very hospitable. Only fault is no tea/coffee facilities in room which is unusual for 5 star hotel, having said that they serve delicious coffee by pool and hotel lobby bars. This may not be up to date as last time stayed due to pandemic was 2019 wasn't any then. The indoor pool is best I've seen in hotel with plenty sunbeds around very relaxing if want to escape the heat of each and on wet days. (Not many climate perfect) Spa and treatment first class. Nice area in lobby with windows to pool to sit have drink any time of day. Slano is a beautiful quite resort, not for anyone expecting night life and plenty of entertainment. A handful of nice restaurants around bay but having half board here not needed as food it excellent, even fussy people will find something to like. Breakfasts amazing sitting on sun terrace attached to main restaurant , so close to beach with beautiful views of the bay. Evenings outside not that may tables so be prepared to have to wait for a space or just get there early. Only once in all the time we been here have not been able to east outside. Restaurant indoors is also very nice, staff very efficient and quick to clear tables and order drinks. This is self service dining with excellent choice especially fresh fish. If you enjoy walking plenty of stunning walks around this fantastic bay, a must is to walk up to the old church on top of hill breathtaking views contine past church all around bay back to hotel about hour walk. Jet skiing available by hotel but wasn't open in late September when visited few years ago Swimming is a must such clear sea and always calm due to being set in a secluded bay. A nice new Marine about 10mins walk around bay with lots coves for swimming. Buses to Dubrovnik right outside in square, first one leaves around 9am gets busy as Dubrovnik very popular for whole day out about 45 mins, well worth as beautiful ride along the coast and once there so much to see and do. It really deserves the title of Pearl of the Adriatic. Just be aware if visit when lots of ships in port to expect it to be very very crowded. Worth checking cruise timetables any more than three large ships not good time to go. This is a gem of a hotel for honeymoons. Stayed here when there was a wedding, can't think of anywhere nicer to spend than this idilic bay. Can't wait to come back to my favourite spot in Dubrovnik next month.

Overall me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our week here. It was so peaceful being the beginning of the summer season! At times it was less than 4 families in the restaurant. Plus many times it was just me and boyfriend on the beach! It was so relaxing around the pool and beach with very little noise of cars or people. There was lots of French speaking families, they out numbered the English families. Everyone was willing to speak to everyone, but some families did keep themselves to themselves which is understandable. Food at the hotel- I can’t stress enough how amazing the food was. Following reading reviews about the food in prior seasons, I was quite worried about what I signed up for. Every lunch and dinner there was different dishes. The whole we stayed we never had the same food again! We had a range of meat dishes all week such as chicken, beef, lamb, duck, pork and fish/ seafood. Lots of different potatoes options too (fries, mash, wedges, Lyonnaise style and boiled etc) . Plenty if vegetable options as well as a different pasta and risotto dish at every meal! They had a range of bread, spreads, salami, cheese, salad bits. Fruit available at breakfast, lunch and dinner. At lunch and dinner there was selection of cakes and ice cream available. They had fried doughnut balls and few other pasties available at 4:30pm at the outside bar if the weather was nice. Drinks- From other reviews I was worried about trying the fizzy drinks. Whilst there I tried their own coke, diet Coke and Fanta. The Coke and Fanta was very similar to brand name drinks, they taste a lot better than English shops own fizzy drinks! I’m not a big lover of Diet Coke so even there own was nice to me, but that personal preference. Their own white wine was ok, I would prefer it chilled a tad more. On offer was a few types of vodka, whiskey, gin and beer. We don’t drink this so I can’t comment. Activities- Free pedalo boats, kayaks and bikes. Was brilliant to use all these at our own leisure. The peddle beach was lined with lounges and umbrella stands (ask at the bar for an umbrella). The water was so clear, we recommend water shoes if you decide to take a dip in the sea like us. House clean were very efficient. We would go for breakfast no earlier than 9am and in between us leaving at different times every morning. The ladies would be in and out with our bed made, fresh towels, mopped bathroom floor, mopped balcony, hoovered, bathroom sink wiped down, new loo roll and everything else they did! Overall, we would recommend this place to everyone if you after a quiet and relaxing holiday with amazing food!

After we visit Dubrovnik Old City and we went to Split, this location was exactly what we needed. Cheap room for us, with free parking, and the beach was about 100 m from us. This is a guesthouse surrounded by campers and was quite and peace after a day in the crowded Dubrovnik!

great out-of-season stay on our way with our car toward Macedonia, not far from Dubrovnik, in a calm and nicely maintained surroundings in a village Slano; very kind hosts offered their parking place to us (and they needed to find alternative one) - so I can not imagine one can rely on having parking available in the main season. the breakfast was god, served also in the terrace in front of the "hotel". nothing to complain really, except occasionally unreliable wifi; in the high season (when guest house and the restaurant are full) you should expect less peace, especially because of very thin walls between the rooms

No one was here to meet us on our arrival just a phone number pinned to the door luckily some one in the apartment block shouted down the code to the door. Don’t know why I couldn’t have just had an email with the door code sent to me. Once inside the keys to the apartment and gate fob for the car park were waiting for me on the receptionists desk in an envelope with my name and room number on. When we booked the room I said that I had wanted the room that we had previously booked before when we stayed here and was told that this wouldn’t be a problem. We didn’t get the room that was had requested but another two bedroomed apartment. The room was spotlessly clean with a welcoming bottle of wine on the table. Booking in was done the following morning. The staff are very friendly. There was an issue with one of the showers in the room as the shower doors didn’t fully close and a lot of water came out from the back of the shower head. I reported the issue and this wasn’t fixed during our four night stay. Luckily we had a two bedroom apartment so had another I could use. The pool here is unheated and a bit of a shock to the system when first getting in but a couple of minutes in and your fine. The views are great looking down over the harbour. You do get some ships that moor overnight but they are normally gone by 8 the following morning. Lots of restaurants within a five minute walk and also a couple of small shops. We had a great stay here and will book again when next in Croatia.

We stayed at Villa Almadria for three nights and it was the highlight of our trip. The villa is beautiful, filled with art, and has a magnificent terrace overlooking the water. Alma, the owner, has done an incredible job opening up this villa as a very unique lodging experience. Alma is there to help with anything you need, and is also an absolutely magnificent chef. Slano is a 45 minute bus or taxi ride away from Dubrovnik, which means that is much more peaceful and quiet. We felt lucky to have had the opportunity to stay here. Highly recommended.

We had a party celebration at this villa and it was wonderful. The rooms are very clean and the staff were very helpful. It is about a 5 minute walk to the town, where there are restaurants, supermarkets and ATMs. It was about 45-minutes from Dubrovnik by car. Would definitely recommend this place. Thank you!

As yet, Slano is a rather laid-back village at the southern Croatian coast. The rooms at Villa Adria were clean, everything worked well, and the view from the balcony was just stunning. We took a swim in the clear water right there in front of the house. Our hosts were funny characters and barely spoke any English, but were adept in making themselves understood somehow. Don't expect them to remember the exact spelling of their Wi-fi password though! ;-) We regretted not being able to stay longer than just for one night.

We cannot praise highly enough the self catering week we enjoyed at Vila Anka- by the sea in the village of Slano. Zlatan and his brother Miro were excellent hosts making our stay highly memorable -Our apartment was clean and spotless and great value for money. We visited Dubrovnik a short bus ride from the village and had a sumptuous meal of oysters and sea bream in nearby Ston at Konoba Bakus.
