Reviewed By jeffmN2395MVI do not give bad reviews except when due. The owner or manager of this unit is lacking customer service. We took our grandson to this unit because there is an indoor pool. Yes, three was one, but, it was very cold. My wife and I were not able to get in due to temps. I quizzed the front desk and was told that is the normal temp. Well, either the manager or owner is too cheap to heat up, or too cheap to fix heater. We were totally disappointed in the presentation of pool. The cleanliness was to be questioned. The elevator had small trash on it and dirt from shoes on tile. It was this way 2 days of riding it. Saturday, it was finally moped and attempted to clean. Bare feet is something common in summer, and there is still diseases going around. The maid service was terrible. We arrived to 2 towels 1st night, with. 3 patrons in room. I went to front desk, retrieved another one. 2 nd day, grandson hung do not disturb sign out and oh well. Last night, the maid cleaned. Again, 2 towels again. How hard is it with 2 beds in a room, to believe that you should leave 3 or 4 towels as a standard stock in the rooms with 3 or more patrons. The rest of unit was ok. Very quiet next to interstate. Bunny’s and ground hog played for us in back yard. Breakfast was ok. Eggs sausage b& g. Gravy was blah. Other than that. Good location, easy in and out. Saw very few staff.

Lacks Cleanliness!
Reviewed By RFandFamilyI was in the area for work so hotel selection led me here. When I arrived, the establishment seemed clean, accompanied by friendly customer service, but that changed. When I got to my room I noticed some less than desireable qualities which I could overlook until the bath. The toilet had colored splashes on the lid. Yucky. It needed a cleaning. I reported it to Cassie at the front desk and she gave me another room, as well as other favored accommodations for my inconvenience. (Thanks Cassie!) When I got to the new room, I found a bug in the bed and foreign hairs in the “clean” towels. Cleanliness is not common here. Needless to say returning to this hotel is not likely.

Rooms, hallways, and elevator not very clean.

Not getting vacuumed regularly. The room also had an odd smell and was just not very clean. The lamp shades were covered in dust and yellowed from dust and time. The one sitting chair was covered in spots (I would be very afraid to use a blacklight on this room). The staff were pleasant, but I just got the feel that this was more suited for a long term living facility than a vacation hotel. I mist likely would choose a different hotel next time.

Reviewed By Vacation540876Room was very hot Instead of fixing was given a box fan. Was not provided with enough towels for 2 adults and 2 children. Was told I had to give them back the dirty dowels bf I could get new ones. Cleaning service was nasty and hateful. Very rude.

This Inn Exceeded My Expectations
Reviewed By Mike RThis property is a great value. I was impressed from the moment I entered the lobby till I departed. The room was modern, well equipped, spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and linens that far exceeded my expectations. There was plenty of hot water and the shower head provided a great showering experience. The breakfast was one of the best I have experienced with a huge variety of selections. I highly recommend this property.

We are in close proximity to downtown venues, SDF airport, Sheperdsville distribution centers, and the Gateway to the Bourbon Trail - Jim Beam Distillery. We have completee a recent renovation of entire property inside and out. Each room is complete with flat screen television, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker for your convenience.

Reviewed By WindycitytravelDave Tenney, General Manager at Fairfield Inn Louisville South, Your staff called me today and said you were the one that told them to do this...So I booked a room in July, Confirmation Number: 95767032, for a rate for next May (total stay amount of 320.54 USD) and then received I received an email on Oct 3 that the rate had been changed and deposit charged at 4X the original rate for a total amount of 1,287.75 USD. Shortly after I received the email charging my credit card at the higher rate I received a call from the hotel asking me if I wanted to keep the reservation at the DERBY Blackout rate or to cancel the reservation. I stated my original email did not state the Hotel had this option. I stated this was like a "bait and switch" and went against KY State Law and the representative from the hotel stated she was instructed to do this by her ownership group and President of Operations. She stated they understand that I had made my reservation in July and that I was a titanium elite member. She explained that they were doing this based on money and that I was not alone. It was being done to close to 30 people that had booked at a lower rate than the DERBY Blackout rate, that they were now setting 2 months later. I told her I would be contacting the KY Attorney General's Office and the Titanium Elite Desk at Marriott and she told me "Good Luck" and asked if I wanted to cancel the reservation? I explained how I had already booked airline tickets and a rental car, I am not sure if you have booked rental cars lately , but they are sky high prices, and that the hotel was not leaving me many options. She asked again if I wanted to cancel my reservation and that she could not help me. I asked her to cancel my reservation. What away to do business and in all my years of staying with Marriott I have never been treated this way. So much for treating guest with any thought outside of a way to make money....

Overpriced
Reviewed By 441joannkI paid $80 for a room barely worth $60. Bare bones furnishings, very thin coverlets, and jerry-rigged electrical outlets posing a danger as well as inconvenience to guests. All the motels in this area were over-priced at the time I was staying there, but all that I looked at were better than this one. I had to give up and take this one as it was getting late.
