Great pool/sauna, overpriced breakfast
Reviewed By daguma86We spend 2 nights here. We really enjoyed the pool and sauna after the intense hiking in the area. The deco of our room was a bit kitch but nothing too bad; it was huge! The dinner was great but I was a bit disappointed by the breakfast, not included, costs 9€ and for that price, u'd expect great stuff but it wasn't.

Reviewed By S_HvassWe stayed here while hiking the Malerweg, and did not choose the hotel ourselfs. We would most likely not choose this hotel again. The place is not in Bad Schandau, but at good bit out of the city center. The busstop is right out side though, leds than 10 meters When We checked in, we were greeted in a very friendly manner, and received all the needed information. The hotel is not new, but very clean. The restaurant is not bad, but not very good either. What is worse, is that value for money is way off. It is way to expensive for what it is.

The staff there is very kind, and although we were there out of the season, the restaurant was there for us, and the food and beer was very good. The have there animals, which the childer would really love (e.g. alpakas ?). Many walk are starting there, wonderfull views, and it is not so full of people as the rest of the National park. I enjoyed it very much.

lots of contrasts
Reviewed By Laser NLots of contrasts to this place on one hand the room is generously sized for a family of four and the place seems very well maintained. beds are comfortable and the breakfest is good as long as you are not a vegeterian (like myself). On the other hand the owners had problems communicating in any language eccept german, the room was cleaned daily but it was only a shallow cleanup not a full cleanup. The parking on the street was a bit problematic because of the street's steep incline. The bill has gotten higher by a few euros at payment time. the payment method is *CASH ONLY*. which is very annoying. and most of all I felt a chilly attitude from the owner like she's in a mission to teach me some manners. Overall i would say its a fair deal as long as you accept the annoynces i mentioned above.

Our small hotel is located in the heart of the national park "Saxon Switzerland", one of the greatest landscapes of all Germany, about 60 kilometers south-east from the capital of Saxony - Dresden. An only 5 minutes-drive takes you to the border of the Tscheck Republic into the "Bohemian Switzerland". Both parks are a great area for trekking, climbing, mountain biking and for canoeing at the river Elbe. But not only sportsmen are happy to be here.

Reviewed By 821bertgNice clean, quit hotel with friendly staff and owner. Very good kitchen. For people who walk difficult this might not be a good hotel, there's no lift, and you have to walk up a ramp which is steep. View from the hotel is very nice.

Reviewed By jaritzGuter Service und leckere Forelle Müllerin im Biergarten. Auch die Quarkkeulchen mit Rosinen sehr gut. (Gibt es auch ohne). Wir hatten tolles Wetter an Montag. Leider ist der Internetempfang etwas schlecht.

Smelly towels but nice people.
Reviewed By Rasmus EThe room was okay, with wifi, minibar, tv and table. The towels in the bathroom was smelly and the shower was unable to hang so you had to hold it in your hands while showering. The host was very nice and wanted to speak a lot with the guests. He has a tame duck as well and a lot of rare dogs. Breakfast was average but good.
