Great place on the Wilden Kaiser
Reviewed By Curiosity290992The hotel is one of the secret tips in Austria, withe excellent and personal service. The hotel restaurant is great, with very innovative Cousine. The service was superb, especially our waiter Tobias. As the only opportunity for improvement we would suggest to invest in a better internet connection. The WiFi was excellent in the lobby, but could be much better in the room.

Reviewed By JlewrayWe have been traveling to Scheffau for over twenty years because we love the people and the Austrian Alps. The Pension Hinterholzer is a quintessential European family inn. Warm and inviting, perfectly located in the center of everything for an outdoor enthusiast and the family is lovely. Julia is doing a remarkable job with Gabi and Robert and we are so happy to know her. Restaurants are at your door, as is the ski school and the shuttle to take you to the gondola in mere minutes. After all these years traveling here for us it is truly about visiting long time friends and family. We always begin to think of our next trip as soon as we get home.

Reviewed By swedejetsetterHad I chosen a place now I would have chose a place higher up the mountain away from the street and more spectacular views but I'm so grateful for the experience I had at this guesthouse. The owner Marcus who seems to do everything is responsive to any request. Pros: Affordable with everything one needs; very comfortable bed, duvet and pillows with extra blankets in the room; extremely clean; great breakfast; not the most up to date in design but that adds to the feel of the guesthouse experience, only to be added when Marcus wears his lederhosen. Free wifi - I was told the internet might not work in the room but it did in mine. Impressive service: I asked for a room with the most view; I got a room on the highest floor with access to a balcony and view of the mountain across the way. I needed to print out my train ticket and he had it ready for me right away. I had friends who were potentially coming to join me for breakfast and he prepared a bigger table for my friends and I to sit at. The list goes on. Cons: No shampoo/conditioner; too close to the main road, which limits the scenery and views of places higher up

Reviewed By Kathleen MNicht mehr Zeitgemäß und nicht empfehlenswert .Die Wirtin ist freundlich. Matratze durchgelegen. Frühstück ist in jedem Hostel besser.Caotische Verhältnisse. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen . Wer es noch nicht ausprobiert hat , wird es wohl nur einmal buchen.
