Homey winter getaway
Reviewed By audreyannec2016I was apprehensive about staying in a Quinta during the winter months but I could not have been more wrong. Our fully equipped loft had a very powerful heating system and a wood fireplace. As there was not much else we could do according to the current Covid guidelines, we spent lots of time relaxing in our little warm cocoon, where we also enjoyed a good breakfast daily. The family owning the property is very helpful, friendly and creative. You can enjoy discovering tons of sculptures all over the many acres of land.

simple organic agriturismo farm with views to Marvao - Wifi and Pool are under preparation (May 2016), cash only!
Reviewed By joe1968The name "Quinta" is a bit misleading (as it is used in North of Portugal for beautful old Houses) because this is a farm house which is converted to a Agriturismo /Turismo Rural). The rooms are spacious but very simple (spartanic), small tube-TV with 4 DVB-T programs, no heating only AC. Breakfast was Portuguese Standards. Positive (why I vote 4of5) was the very nice owner who produces wine, oil and melissa on organic processes (not yet certified), he showed us the winery and the local products. We are could see his sheep beeing sheered and Bob the "estrella shepart dog" was taking care on security. Vicinity of Marvao and Castelo Vide is a big plus for restaurants and shopping (recommend from us is "Casa Mil Homens" in Portagem (free Wifi there), follow the sign Churrasqueira Sever) I think the rate of 50€ is just justified right now (if they want to charge more the Wifi, Pool and creditcard need to be available, which was told to happen before start of summer 2016) - YES - a place with potentials!!

Pequeno almoço deve ser pedido com 2 dias antes da chegada e cada hóspede prepara o seu todos os dias. Sem serviço de quartos; seguro; área circundante rural com animais; zona de lazer e relaxe boa. Relação qualidade preço aceitável. Piscina não recomendável. Realçar a atenciosidade do Sr carlos que está sempre disponível para o que for preciso. Casa rural para famílias com filhos. Recomendável
