Reviewed By Paulo CThe Staff is very warm and always ready to answer your questions. Dont wait to be served but if you ask they will serve you with no problems at all. They have a very nice outdoor swinpool and a jacuzzi. The place also has a parking lot, internet (not good) and a delicious breakfast. Don't forget to ask for your free sandwiches to take during your trips to Serra da Canastra, the staff will prepare a quick snack to go.

Hostel Pousada Barcelos is in town, surrounded by trees and have a inner garden. At the street corner is the beginning of the dirt road to the nacional park. Our breakfast is from 08:00am to 9:30am but we can arrange earlier breakfast and field lunch for birders. The game room have a pool table and ping pong, the video room have more than 700 dvds and a reasonable large library, the wifi and the two computers with internet access are free, our pool is solar heated and we have a steam sauna.
Best place to stay for a visit to Serra da Canastra National Park
Reviewed By Barry DThis is probably your best choice if you want to visit the National Park as we were for 4 days of wildlife watching. The rooms were clean, if a bit on the small side and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you want to leave early for wildlife spotting, all you need to do is tell the owner, Bruno, and he will ensure a wonderful early breakfast is prepared. The pool was a bit murky when we were there - but the garden is amazing, full of birds and Bruno's super friendly dog.

Reviewed By Stacy WWhat a wonderful experience. We arrived late, but our hosts still made dinner for us, a truly wonderful risotto. All the dinners and breakfasts were lovely. Great recommendations for things to see and do in the area. A lovely cottage to stay in. House made beer, and cheese. Really friendly and welcoming hosts.

Reviewed By GlauciaV2A pousada possui um ambiente bem agradável e uma linda vista da serra. Os chalés tem vista ds serra; são confortáveis, limpos e organizados. Fomos muito bem recebidos pela Adriana que nos ajudou com dicas durante toda a nossa hospedagem. Ela prepara um café da manhã com vários quitutes. A gente se sente em casa. A pousada fica a 2 km da cidade. De lá é possível fazer passeios pela Serra da Canastra e nas fazendas produtoras do queijo Canastra.
