Gorgeous place, relaxing and comfortable, near one of the most underrated cities in Alentejo province, the well-preserved medieval Santiago do Cacem and its beautiful moorish castle, in addition to the roman ruins not far from this Herdade. Nights were cold but rooms are all air conditioned for summer and winter. Breakfast was great, made to order by Lurdes and Liliana who are really nice and make you feel at home. Bikes are available by the front desk, including bikes for kids. Wi-fi was free and robust. Everyone followed the official recommendations for prevention of Covid-19. I highly recommend Casas de Mirobriga.

In the center of the city Santiago do Cacém and halfway between Lisbon and the Algarve, the “Hotel D.Nuno” offers you the excellence of exquisite service on one of the richest regions in history, heritage and natural beauty.Having 75 rooms, equipped with TV/sound system, direct telephone and air conditioning, this modern accommodation unit has also at your disposal two meeting / conference rooms, swimming pool, an inviting bar and a private garage, all this in quality facilities.
Excellent value for money. Clean room. Good bathroom. Nice view of the monastery on the hill. Kind lady at reception goes the extra mile to help out. Great night sleep and easy off road parking plus you can walk into town. Do stay here if you can.

Villa and Regional Restaurant in Santiago Cacem Portugal. Near the centers of commerce and the Vincentian coast beaches.
A basic hotel with a friendly welcome. The room was clean despite being a little small with the extra bed for a toddler. Staff friendly, good, regional cooking. Mobile network coverage poor on Vodafone, and no wi-fi, or at least there was no information on wi-fi visibly displayed, although we only stayed for one night, so it wasn't a big problem. The biggest negative was the fact that the card payment machine was not working, so I had to pay in cash. Luckily I had the cash on me, otherwise it would have meant an inconvenient trip into the nearest town (Santiago do Cacém) to an ATM.

We stayed here whilst walking the Rota Vicentina. What a beautiful place. Our hosts were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had a really comfortable room with outside day bed to relax once we settled in. We had dinner (need to request in advance) and breakfast here. The food was fabulous. We also asked for a packed lunch and enjoyed a gourmet lunch as well with healthy local produce. It was great value. We would thoroughly recommend this place - a lovely oasis right on the historic way. The old flour mills are in the process of being restored - great to take the time to look at them.

A cooking experience hotel, with strong connection to local culture and traditions where gastronomy and culinary experiences are the main attraction, not forgetting the nature, the proximity to the sea and outdoor activities. In the heart of the historical city of Santiago do Cacem and near to the deserted beaches.
Hotel excellent, and good facilities for children. Very clean, lovely setting and peaceful. Food good, excellent portions but main courses quite expensive. The breakfast was exceptional. We have recommended it to friends and one has already booked - we are hoping to return soon! Lovely touches such as providing a duvet and pillow for our daughter's cot, a teddy, rubber duck for the bath and comforter as well as baby toiletries. A half bottle of wine and cheese/crackers was lovely to arrive to. The biscuits and chocolates in the room were lovely but it was not obvious we had to pay for them as part of the mini bar. Very friendly staff and very good with children, however they are either inexperienced or not fully trained - they were often not around, or when asked for something (whether assistance at reception, something for the room or to order a drink or food) they would often disappear or take a long time. As the hotel has an open kitchen and seating area and there are bottles of water and the coffee machine within the open restaurant setting, it would be useful for staff to give guests a quick tour to tell guests about how it works, what is free and what you have to pay for - we were not told that we had to pay for the filtered water bottles until we had had a few. We then went to the supermarket to buy some. It would be good to provide drinking water over and above the one bottle in the room. Also only once we saw other families doing it towards the end of our stay did we realise we could order our daughter's evening meal earlier than the restaurant opening time of 7:30pm, as for most of the stay she had to stay up much later than usual as we ate once the restaurant was open.

The hotel comprises ten highly comfortable rooms, made up of five double rooms and five twin rooms, one of which is adapted to people with limited mobility, as well as a spacious, fully-equipped, two-bedroom country house accommodating up to 4 people. All the accommodation units are individually and tastefully decorated, with a private terrace. The wide variety of services offered, the excellent location in the middle of the Alentejo country-side but with easy access to the finest beaches of the Alentejo coast and sites of historic interest such as the Roman ruins of Miróbriga, as welwellas the fact that we are next to the newly-created Vicentina route, a hiking route between Santiago do Cacém and Sagres connected to international walking routes and to the pilgrim way to Santiago de Compostela, all make Monte Xisto Rural Hotel a unique and unforgettable experience.
A really good hotel. Nice room, beautiful garden and pool. Very good food. The staff are very kind and incredibly helpful. We were a group of seven people who cycled Rote Vicentina. Perfect for us. We vill go back!

Best experience we've had on our honeymoon yet. The staff really care anout what they do and that is obvious from the start. We were welcomed and the local are was explained to us. We were given tips of the best places to eat and what activities we could do - we did the horse riding on the beach which was great. We were even surprised with a bottle of wine and strawberries on our first night to congratulate us on getting married. After staying 3 nights, it was hard to leave this place. The breakfast is amazing and so fresh, the pool is lovely, the beautiful beach is a short drive, there are loads of great places to eat nearby. We loved that the dog, Farouk, just walks around and is always happy to see guests arrive - he was so well behaved. We would love to return here some day.
