My favorite hotel of my five nights on. Madeira
Reviewed By Dan MThis hotel was my favorite on Madeira island. The view of the shore in the landscape along the back vineyard is worth the price alone. It made me feel like a mountain lodge, similar to what I stayed at in Vail Colorado. The staff was very nice and everything was perfect except a hot tub wasn't working and I was really looking forward to one after our hike. Other than that the restaurant was excellent and breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Hotel O Colmo, rural hotel situated in the center of Santana, the northern coast of Madeira Island, known for its typical thatched houses. Hotel consists of 50 rooms all tastefully decorated, comfortable for a beautiful stay in the middle of nature. In the leisure area for guests the hotel has a heated water pool and jacuzzi. For a good meal ,typical Madeiran, try our Restaurant with good food.
Nice room in a generally nice hotel
Reviewed By Paul MI stayed here just for one night as part of a tour of Madeira. Check in was quick and the room easy to find. Inside the room, everything was very clean and well presented. A big, comfortable bed meant a good nights sleep. In the restaurant, the food was very good, plenty of good local meat on a skewer and a good selection of local wines. The location is perfect to explore the lively and colourful market in Santana.

Boasting a quiet setting in Santana, this lodge is 20 minutes from Madeira International Airport and makes the most of its natural surroundings. WiFi access is provided throughout the property. Perfect for exploring Northern Madeira, Os Manos combines family-friendly accommodation with stunning mountain views. The surrounding area is excellent for hiking and exploring nature, and the hotel's staff can provide information and advice. All rooms are individually furnished and include a cable TV. Light décor and panoramic views ensure an airy feel at all times. Guests can relax in front of the fireplace in the guest lounge. Guests have access to a shared kitchenette. Treat yourself to a drink at the honesty bar. A selection of wines, waters and souvenirs can be purchased at the property. The property is 11km from Pico Ruivo and 3.3km from Santana's traditional houses. Faial Beach is 6.7km from Casa os Manos, while Funchal is 35 minutes away.
Wonderful stay with kind hosts
Reviewed By elisabeth2903I had a wonderful stay at Casa Os Manos! It's near many hiking trails. While it is easier with a rental car, you don't necessarily need one. There is a bus stop (about 15 minutes walking from the Casa ) which will also take you to the airport for 2.60 Euros. Most importantly, Grace and her family are super nice and kind hosts. They gave me a ride on their way to Funchal and offered me all kinds of assistance without me even having to ask for it. You wouldn't hug the receptionist at a hotel goodbye, but at Casa Os Manos you'll be sad to part with your kind and attentive hosts!

Absolutely awesome!
Reviewed By EfulkaWe’ve stayed there for 2 nights. Our small house was clean, well equiped but a bit cold. The breakfast was served in the central house, it was tasteful and original, with local bread and home made desert. If you come by car, rent the smallest one, it was not very easy with peugeot 208 and the route is quite narrow.

Reviewed By Marion490Outdated building, cold and wet. No noise insulation. Terrible breakfast as tenants seem to limit the number of slices of cheese they give you. No gluten-free option for breakfast. Staff was not smiling and it took them two hours to serve dinner.
