100% Carbon Neutral Campsite ESKAPE CAMPS SANGLA : Operated by an Ex Army commando, Eskape Adventure Camps is located on the foothills of Rakcham Wild Life Sanctuary. With glacier stream on once side and rive Baspa on the other, its nothing less of a dream land. The Property is 100% Carbon Neutral and operated completely on Solar Energy.
Eskape Adventure camps is a great place for travellers who are keen to explore the beauty of Himachal and stopping on the way to Spiti. The camp is nestled in a valley surrounded by snow peaked mountains. The tents are comfortable and the team headed by Mr. Pradhuman Negi is excellent. The quality of food is surprisingly good for a place with limited connectivity and power. The view outside the tents, the bonfire at night, conversations with Mr. Negi are a few things that will stay with you long after your trip. Please do not expect super comfort or luxury, as you are in a very remote location. All the warmth here is from the phenomenal team managing Eskape Adventures.

After going thru so many reviews we chose this hotel. Sangla is a small town so you can not expect start hotels there. This hotel is near Kamru Fort and surrounded by apple orchards. Clean room. Spacious bathroom with running hot/cold water. Staff are courteous. The owner is generally looking after the guest. Breakfast and dinner not eleborate but tasty.

I read good reviews about this property in the internet while planning our Himachal Trip. After reading the reviews, I didn't look for any other property in the Sangla Valley. Wanted to book this property, booked immediately through Agoda. But the owner said that they don't take bookings through Agoda, they do take through MMT and Booking.com. As I was talking to him over phone, I wanted to book through him, but he kept me confused about some or other thing. Next day morning when I called him he said all super Deluxe rooms are gone. I was little disappointed as I was in constant touch with him about the booking. Anyways, he showed be the normal room that doesn't have any good view. I agreed for that, but then he was charging 4.5k for a night which is not at all worth once you see the room. In our HP trip nowhere they charged for our six year old, but this one was charging. After some conversation he agreed for 4k. But I'm telling it's not worth 4K a night. The bathroom was not cleaned, there were yellow stains on the seat of the commode, the water hole was full of dirt. And there was no power backup. The temperature was in minus, when we asked for a heater they said it would charge extra. But the owner said that they would give heater in every room. We wanted to have some mutton curry as we heard mutton curry in that region is very good. So we bought some mutton and wanted their chef to cook it, initially the owner said NO, and he was telling it won't be possible. Then on reaching the property his brother agreed for it. But they charged 300 bucks for the preparation. There is no welcoming gesture there. The only good thing is food. My wife says the mutton curry was awesome. And I also found that other food items were very good. For food we can give them good rating. But the room is not worth 4k a night, I felt like cheated by the owner. No professionalism at all. So my recommendation is to avoid that property.

Very nice rooms tastefully decorated and you get an awesome view of the mountain ranges if you are staying in the rooms on the higher floors. However it is located about 2.5kms from the city centre and you can access it before you reach the proper city. As it is located next to apple orchards ,you can also feast your Eyes with views of apple laden trees in the gardens.

Rakchham Valley Nature Camps are situated on left bank of Baspa River and beside the village of Rakchham in Sangla Valley. Rakchham village is a small village between Sangla and Chhitkul. Our location is USP as we are situated in a kind of location where you can feel the powerful stream of Baspa River and you can see the valley view of Baspa River. We have to provide some kind of activities in our campsite Village tour, Small hikes in nearby places, Jangle walk, small trekking. This place is beautiful. Full of apple orchards, happy staff, happy people around, this place is a magic. Let's talk about the rooms - Beds are clean, washrooms big and clean, hot water available, charging spots work fine. There are no heaters and blowers, so pack good. Food- You will get all meals, but do discuss this first. Indians meals are available, with amazing chai and coffees throughout the day. It can get a little expensive on food but then its not that much. We gave extra 800 bucks for teas and coffees and bread jams and butters. Surprisingly breads are expensive in mountain hotels(don't know why). But we were 3 people and 800 is not much because they also gave us discount on our stays. View - you will get an amazing view from the camp. There is a wind chime which makes it more perfect. If you planning to stay in sangla, this is it. Bonfire - For this there is an extra 1000 bucks charge because they have to get the woods from far away and the setup takes 2 hrs. Staff - The staff are amazing. Very helpful, generous. Do not pluck the apples from the apple orchards next to the camps, it is not allowed. We only picked the fallen ones so thats cool. ;)

Baspa Guest House is an excellent choice for travelers visiting Sangla, offering many helpful amenities designed to enhance your stay. Baspa Guest House features a 24 hour front desk and baggage storage, to help make your stay more enjoyable. The property also boasts an on-site restaurant. If you are driving to Baspa Guest House, free parking is available. There is no shortage of things to do in the area: explore popular ancient ruins such as Kamru Fort. Enjoy your stay in Sangla!
Baspa Guest House gets one brownie point for being the only hotel in Sangla open throughout the year. It is located quite close to the bus stand and the market. Rooms are better maintained now as compared to my previous visit over a year before. They have geysers in restrooms, but don't expect running water during winters since the water in pipelines gets frozen. The rooms are quite warm and have wooden interiors. I haven't tried the food here since there are several good eateries available in the market.
