Nice hotel in Creole house. Very central and great service. Good choice for spending a few days in the city for hiking and excursions around. Breakfast was good. Very clean and uncomplicated, very helpful staff

We stayed one night at this small hotel which looked quite charming up front. However, even not expecting much, the room was bare minimum with no charm. The breakfast was very disappointing as they offer what looked like supermarket bought cake with dry baguettes. They could have offered some local fruits and it would have make big difference. We compared with other hotel where our friends stayed in the same are was much more charming.

This place is one of the best I know in Reunion Island. First the room is perfect and very comfortable, then the host (Fabiola) is very kind and efficient, always keen to check that everything is OK, then the food (breakfast, dinner) is excellent, then the location is perfect as so close to the extraordinary cirque de Mafate and last the price is really fair. What else?

About 10 mins walk from Hell-Bourg village centre, with excellent views. Very friendly staff, some speak English well and some only French. Room itself is basic; curtains for the front doors but not the side window. Later we found out that in order to sleep beyond dawn, we would have had to close the window blinds on the outside. Bathroom is very modern, room itself small and dated. Breakfast continental, with eggs to order (and cold pancakes). Not bad at all. What costs the place a full point in our rating is the unacceptable bad Wifi; both morning and evening, even when we were almost the sole users at the property, signal disappeared constantly and most apps/sites were unusable.

Nice house and friendly, very helpful owner who can recommend restaurants for diner in the village. One night he arranged diner at his sister’s place (walking distance) which was excellent so you may want to ask him. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom with large bath was huge. There is a nice lounge couch outside on the terrace. Breakfast is good. The location is good for hikes at Mafate (from col de Boeuf to la Nouvelle). 20 minutes drive to the car park

Our family of five arrived at Le Guetali drenched from the rain and exhausted from a long day of trekking. We received a warm welcome, comfortable and clean rooms, great views, and the best dinner and breakfast of our 10-day trek (including accommodating various dietary restrictions). We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

We recently spent 2 nights at this accommodation, due to our first choices being booked out. It is quite a walk from the town center across a back path over a river (you will need a torch if you want to be out after dark). We arrived at 3:30pm after a long day hiking and after being told check in is between 1500-1800. No one was there, we waited 30 mins before another couple arrived to check in and thankfully had a phone. They called the owner who tried to explain in English (as neither of us spoke French) where our rooms might be, this took a long time to figure out. Then said she will be around at 1730. She arrived without apology but was pleasant to deal with there. The next morning breakfast was the usual bread & cake with jam and coffee. The second morning we arrived at breakfast to find no one around, stale bread in a container and a coffee pod machine for us, we just left our key in the door and left!! Let's say customer service isn't the focus of this Gitê. The shower just trickled barely warm water so forget the shower! The door only closed with you shoulder slammed it at the same time turning the lock... Fun! Please only stay here if you cannot book in anywhere else!! Or you just do not care about the above issues.
