A Good Stay
Reviewed By Scott DWe stayed here for several nights, opposite the river Meurthe, in the town of St. Die, Des Vosges, north/eastern France. Helpful staff on arrival, small, but ample bedroom space. All clean/tidy. Breakfast was ample too and relaxing. A good central base to work from within this hilly region (famous for being part of the Tour De France). Cafes/bars are close by (one's next door). Nice riverside walks to be had and an American style bowling alley is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the east. War memorials are a short walk to the west. We had a good stay.

Reviewed By FromtheEastPleasant greeting. Very good restaurant and service. Lovely surroundings with the high wooded hills. Reasonably sized, clean rooms . Our room had a veranda with a table and a couple of chairs overlooking a large pond with lots of swans, ducks,etc. A nice walk in shower. Perhaps could have done with coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Food in the restaurant was very good and nicely presented. Plenty of free parking. Overall Highly recommended!

Acceptable hotel for road trip stayover
Reviewed By PVDubPart of our road trip from Ireland across Europe involved a stop off in St Die and once we reached there we used TripAdvisor to provide some options. The hotel looked fine online, had availability and was nearby so we dropped in straight away as it was getting late. Girl on reception (was also bar person) checked us in and gave us key to our 3rd floor room which was fine with a really great shower room, more 4* than the hotels 2* rating. The free WiFi was available only in the bar area and not rooms. Hotel had everything we needed for this type of trip, breakfast wasn't too spectacular and I'd avoid the coffee if it normally tastes like we got that morning! Still, I'd have no problem going back as it had convenient (paid) street parking, plus I know where to get a good morning coffee now!

Good enough for that price
Reviewed By Wim ZIt does not promiss more than you pay for and that is what you get . Very basic but clean. Good beds and good wifi. Rest is very basic. If possible dont go for the rooms with even numbers because they are situated at the front of the building. At 05.30 they empty with a lot of noise the garbage bins. There was also a party going on in the centre of the city but the music luckylymstopped at midnight,12 o’clock. Opening your windowroom is not a thing I would advise. The breakfast is also very basic but enough. The coffee is good .

Clean, basic rooms with private bathrooms
Reviewed By simpleman66Travelling europe on a budget, this is a great place to stay. The website pictures are from an earlier time, its all there but just a little worn. The staff are friendly, the meals are good and simple. The trails, surrounding little village are great afternoon walks. The property has a lot of amenities, a gym and even miniature golf. Summer would have allowed us to do more outdoor things but it was great even in the cooler weather. We had a room up on the third floor, the view was beautiful in the mornings and evenings. The elevator only goes u to the second floor so if you are on the third and you have a lot of luggage be prepared to walk up a spiral staircase with your luggage. In my opinion the view was worth hauling our stuff upstairs. Did I mention that you have private bathrooms! In some places this is a rare thing when the rates are this reasonable. There is no room service but they are very attentive to whatever you might need. There are shuttles to the Gare (railway). It is only a five minute ride from the Saint-Dié-des-Vosges station. We took a train from Paris to Nancy to Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. There is a nice size town a little bit away with grocery stores and shopping as well. We did not spend much time there. We had a beautiful little balcony to sit out on.
