300M from the beach > (Blue Flag Label), on the south coast of the island of Oleron, the resort "Les Hameaux des Marines" is situated behind a dune, in a quiet and relaxing environment, near the lighthouse of Chassiron and port of Saint Denis d'Oleron. Here you will have the opportunity to entertain yourself on the ocean, go cycling over the bike paths of the island or enjoy the famous seafood in one of the many traditional restaurants in Saint Denis and its surroundings. This charming and friendly residential park is the ideal place to relax and take a deep breath of fresh air.
Simple and Straight-Forward
Reviewed By Noel TThe accommodation was a two bedroom holiday cottage - there was more than enough room for the two of us, and it was a 5 minute walk to the beach (although the better, sandy beach is another 15-20 minutes walk). There is no shop to speak of on-site and its a 10 minute drive (minimum to get to a restaurant). The swimming pool is quite small - not too bad if you are the only one in it, but it closes at 7pm... WiFi is only available in one area on site, in a 'common room, next to the pool and office. The £14 charge for bed linen was a bit steep, given that we were there only overnight, but reasonable for a week. Note that there is a formal room check on the way out - you need to clean it yourself, else you get charged £50 for cleaning (pretty much standard in a site such as this). Apart from the pool and the beach, though, there isn't much in the way of activities on site or locally.

Great place to stay
Reviewed By Rick CMy wife and I wanted a romantic getaway and this was a perfect place for it. The owners were very accommodating and made sure we were happy with our stay. The building is close to the port and there were many restaurants nearby.

Beautiful location - great for beach and nature lovers
Reviewed By Mark DWe came here of a long weekend based on the reviews and found a lovely location, close to the only good surfing and swimming beach in the area and really beautiful nature. The pitches are a good size and it backs onto an open water reserve with lots of nature. It had good facilities, toilets and showers with the bar open most of the day. It is close to the cycling track and their is a free bus for those without. Do be prepared for mosquitoes and loud frog noise at night, but also lovely birds, insects and even beavers!! It isn’t cheap @€>30 night including electricity for 2 with campervan, but less expensive than others nearby… Fully recommend

Delphine et Pascal, les heureux propriétaires du camping le Chassiron * depuis novembre 2019 sont heureux de vous accueillir tout au bout de l ile d Oléron, au coeur d une nature préservée où vous serez bercés par le murmure de l océan et les chants des oiseaux.

superbes vacances
Reviewed By patrickauxerrel'accueil est excellent,les locations sont propres et rien ne manque. camping calme et ombragé, la plage est à 200 mètres et les 2 piscines (dont 1 couverte) sont supers . sécurité totale pour les enfants . accès proche des pistes cyclables pour rejoindre st Denis d'oleron ou la phare de chassiron ou autres destinations. j'y vais depuis plusieurs années et rien ne pourrait me faire changer de camping .vivement l'année prochaine. un grand merci pour Stéphanie et Amélie pour leur gentillesse et leur dévouement pour nous rendre notre séjour toujours très agréable.je recommande ce camping

Vandalisme sur parkings de la commune
Reviewed By julien gAttention vandalisme sur les parkings et ça ne choc Personne !! Attention à vos voitures je me suis garé sur un parking de la commune et on m'a vandalisé tout le côté de la voiture et en pleine journée et bien sûr Personne n'a rien vue vacances gachees
