We had one room for three adults walking the Camino Frances: Good and quiet localisation. The room was large enough for three persons and had good light. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was alright.

My wife and I stayed at Hostal Alfonso whilst walking the Camino. It is centrally situated for the town centre and also the Camino route. After about two weeks sleeping In dorms it was great to have our own bed and shower. On arrival check in was friendly but the owner did not speak any English but this was no great issue and we got by with our little Spanish. Added bonus was the drying line on the roof. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

This rustic-style guest house is located in Sahagún, right on the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage Route. It offers a shared outdoor terrace and free Wi-Fi. Rooms at Hostal La Bastide du Chemin feature rustic décor and come with flat-screen TV and a private bath. The hostal has a cafeteria for breakfast, light food and drinks. Bicikles are more than welcomed. A perfect environment for pilgrims and travellers.
We stayed here one night while walking the Camino and very much enjoyed our stay. Our room on the top floor (accessed via an elevator for those with tired legs!), was clean, quiet and cozy. The room was quiet & spotless, linens are all ironed (where do you find that, these days??!!), beds were comfortable and the shower was fine. We especially loved the private balcony with a view of two ancient churches (complete with families of storks - so fun to watch!). Owner Fatima is lovely and works tirelessly to ensure that her guests are well cared for. The little bar offers snacks, drinks and food all day, which is important to pilgrims who don’t have energy to go for dinner at 8:00 pm when the restaurants open! There’s an excellent laundry very near to the hostal, the main square a short walk away, and the Camino goes right by the door. It doesn’t get any better!

Certainly the hotel that you'd find in the Camino de Santiago. Recently reopened with new management and a renovated kitchen directed by Guillermo Montiel. It is a perfect place to spend a few days relax enjoying its spacious and comfortable rooms, swimming pools gym, sauna, gardens and scenery. Area Cycling Bike friendly and spacious rooms for celebrations of all class. Pet are alloved.
We booked a room for June 2-3 and received a confirmation of booking. We have now received a message to say our booking is cancelled. On querying this with Booking.com (who have been helpful), we have discovered that the hotel is now closed and not taking bookings. Beware, all those depending on this hotel or who have booked there for later this year.

We arrived as a group to this hotel. It is virtually in the middle of nowhere. There was nobody at the hotel for the first 5-10 minutes. Then a man arrived from outside the hotel and registered us. The rooms are as the existing pictures indicate. Quite depressing and cold. We asked the man to switch on the heating but he told us the outside weather was fine, and we should open the windows. We followed his suggestion but it did not work at all. The hotel reception was quite untidy and neglected. The room was not particularly clean and the towels were slightly stained with old mould. We were each staying in our own rooms and this was the only night nobody dared to take a shower. I see there are positive reviews of this place. Our experience would not support a positive review. The only positive statement once can make is that it is a peaceful place.

Los Balcones del Camino is a very nice pension in the heart of Sahagun. A bit hard to find coming from the train station, but quite easy once you know where you're going. I stayed in a spacious double room with its private bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well. There are bars and restaurants just across the street and more on the main square two minutes away. The free self-served breakfast in the morning was fantastic and just what I needed to get me on my way on the Camino de Santiago. The only problem I encountered was that a door code is sent to you on the same say so you can self check-in. Trouble is, most of us walking the Camino don't have internet access between stopovers and I never got it. So I rang the bell, but no one answered. Someone at a nearby cantina let me use her phone and Carmen came to greet me a few minutes later. To avoid such mishaps, it would be better for the door code to be sent the night before. That way, everyone would get it in timely fashion. Other than that, this was a perfect Camino stop for me.

This is a well located standard economic hotel with all of the usual facilities. The rooms are reasonably spacious and there's plenty of hot water. The restaurant has an excellent reputation. The staff was generally helpful. Try to avoid engaging with the manager!
