Nice hotel, well situated, friendly service
Reviewed By AlanOrangeVery nice hotel situated next to the river with views to the castle. Old town is a five minutes walk away over the bridge. We had a huge room, well equipped and very clean. Staff and owners very friendly and service oriented. Absolutely recommended!

Dinner here on Senior Club trip
Reviewed By Paul LFood and service was good and the staff excellent, considering we were a group of 80 plus persons. We were seated outside by the edge of the river and waterfall. Excellent ambiance, lovely weather but due to the compact size of the market place in general a rather strong wind spoilt it somewhat. Has we were only here to eat I'm unable to comment on the hotel itself.

Great location, massive rooms
Reviewed By John LSituated a few minutes walk from the town centre, the hotel is in a block of shops and offices, sharing a large underground car park. Access to the hotel takes some working out and involves a lift from the car park through a door that can be tricky to open. The big benefit of the hotel are the enormous rooms - very useful when you've been travelling all day on a motorcycle in torrential rain. Wi-fi very fast and free. Breakfast a typical substantial German one. Have stayed here twice and see no need to look elsewhere in the pretty town of Saarburg.

Reviewed By raymondy846Great stay at the Zunftstube Hotel and Restaurant. Nice rooms, but no elevator, still nice. Rooms were nice and service was good. Breakfast came with the room and they have patio dining next to the river.

Excellent location
Reviewed By Lighthouse2007A very nice, typical German hotel in the centre of the village. Excellent location and everything on your doorstep. On arrival, check in was easy and staff very helpful and friendly. Room was nice with a big comfortable bed, sofa, table and chairs. My only disappointment is that on arrival we were told the restaurant was closed and also the hotel itself from 3.00pm onwards. So, no food or drinks available. If we had known this in advance, we would have stayed elsewhere or in another village. The hotel should have told us in advance. We were recommended a restaurant for food which although nice, was also very expensive. Weather was dreadful with torrential rain and hence we didn't want to go looking elsewhere. The one recommended was the closest to the hotel. Saarburg is a beautiful town and worth a visit. Hotel also, if open!

GREAT LOCATION AND HOMELY RECEPTION...
Reviewed By WITHIESChose this hotel because of its good reviews and we were not disappointed. Saarburg is a beautiful town and the hotel is right in the centre. We were given a choice of rooms, both of which were more than adequate, but we selected the one with a small balcony over looking the town. The room was spacious, well appointed and of a very good standard. We had a friendly reception on arrival, and help with the parking meter at the public car park which is only a few meters away. We dined at the hotel, and without doubt, we had one of the best dining experiences whilst travelling tho Germany, the food was of a very high standard, and reasonably priced. This hotel and its great team deserve the high ratings it gets.
