Hostel ”RukaTupa” is located on Highway 5 in Ruka, near to the center of Ruka - Village, only a 15 minute walk away. The distance to the nearest Talvijärvi ski lift is 500 meters. The wide ski track network of the area can be accessed directly from our yard. There is a ”SkiBus” stop in front of the guesthouse. In addition to Ruka Village the shuttle bus takes you to ”Ski Bistro”, ”Kuusamon Tropiikki” Tropical Spa, and Kuusamo town centre (26 km). Thanks to the excellent location of our hostel you can either enjoy the peace of nature or use the many available recreational services of Ruka area. At Hostel ”RukaTupa” you can choose to stay either in the rooms of the main building or in log cabins located on and around the premises. We also rent more fully equipped cottages and apartments located outside the hostel area. You`re welcome to stay with us starting from 1 night up to several weeks, the length of your stay we`ll leave up to you. The main building also has a sauna area.

Erittäin hyvää lappilaista ruokaa; poro-hirvi-karhu ja lohiburgereita. Poronkäristystä tietysti ja lappilaista leipää. Kävelymatka Rukan kylästä.

Nice accommodation but eat somewhere else
Reviewed By juhak2022The glass ceiling hut stay was very nice although there was on snow on the top pf the ceiling. The food was bad and did not match at all with the quality of accommodation. It was supposed to be a three course dinner but turned out to be a buffet The taste was uninteresting and reminded of office meals. The waitress warned that one should not take too much so that they would not run out of food (this happened in the very beginning). Additionally the people were put into a tiny room to eat and that was not very pleasant during covid19.

New high class Ski-Inn accommodation hotel RukaValley was opened in December 2019. The hotel is located right next to the Valtavaara conservation area and the slopes in East of Ruka. Fantastic Stay, Beautiful Skiing, Friendly People
Reviewed By callumc892Stayed at the Ruka Valley Hotel booked with Crystal Ski 23rd Jan 2022 for 7 nights and I can say it was an absolute delight to stay here and relax. The views from the room overlooked the hills and forest covered in the most beautiful powdery snow each morning. Breakfast was a good choice of food each morning (eggs, sausage, bread, cheese, fruit, waffles, etc.) Evening meal did feel a little the same though, with the same options to choose each time, regardless of this, the food that came out each time was cooked beautifully. Only suggestion here would be to change the evening menu a little each night if possible/more choice. The Hotel itself is located literally steps away from the gondola that can take in you into the village or the the top of the piste where you can ski down into Ruka Village and enjoy some local beers and cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at this friendly hotel, with the staff making it extra special the whole time. We will be returning to this hotel and its not very often I say that!

Unbelievable afternoon - dream come through for kids
Reviewed By Colin MWe had an unbelievable morning with husky safari (exhilarating cross country husky ride) passing through stunningly beautiful ruka region. The trip ended with a lovely lunch and meet santa in the village. A surreal experience we will always remember particularly for the children.

Great experience over New Years eve
Reviewed By nimae27We had a great time staying at Iisakki Village's Papin Talo Wilderness Hotel. It's a winter fairytale. Great breakfast also for gluten free guests. An hour of sauna is included each day and the sauna was great. I would definitely go again.

Reviewed By evgeny nПосетили этот коттедж в феврале 2014 года ресепшен этого коттеджа находится в двух километрах от коттеджа там получили ключи план-схему где находится коттедж приехали разместились были в восторге от просторного уютного коттеджа с действующим камином, сауной,полностью оборудованной кухней кухней, обогреваемым полом при входе. Лыжный курорт собственно ради чего мы приехали находится в 10 минутах езды. В общем мы в восторге от отдыха в таком замечательном месте.

Reviewed By laaksolahti2545Hotel zone reception done it great! Our daughter had astma worsening here in another place and they Organized us a clean apartement in 5 minutes. It saved our holiday in Ruka . We could do riverdraft and all hiking after that. Zones apartement is nice , clean with renewed sauna and good beds for sleeping. Greetings to Arttu , Zone group!
