Different staff, different attitudes we met both the misery and go the extra mile ... Pretty standard room wise with bonus surprise for the kids was great, breakfast was just what you need before a day on the road. Shower was epic...site is a little older looking with no AC so was rather hot and I'm cold sleeper tbf. Carpet needed a good vac.... Think it was missed but overall not put me off returning. The pros outway the cons

Customer service on evenings has been amazing, special thanks to Kayleigh, Geraldine and Nadine, food and service spot in. Clean room, free parking and handy tesco express next door. We had a surprise 70th birthday party for my father in law in the Phoenix room and although not all the guests Ian, Sookie and the team were absolutely fabulous. They looked after us and the guests and we wanted for nothing. The room was clean and spacious and the food was amazing. Would 100% come here again. Maybe next time squeeze in a round of golf.

Winter at Brownsover Hall. Picture is the main building.
On arrival there was no one at the desk. My husband went to look for someone. He seemed confused when he came and consulted another member of staff. The room we were allocated was not available so we were given one in the main house, room 11. It was very shabby, with holes in the carpet and the curtain was hanging off . My husband spoke to the desk and they sent someone to sort it out. This was unable to be done as there were no curtain hooks! We were moved to room 46, the original room. This was in the stable block. We had to carry all our luggage down 2 flights of stairs. No help given. This room was also tired and shabby. The light switch to the bathroom was broken, becoming unsafe. The floor of the upstairs room was very noisy in our room. We paid for breakfast on the first morning. It was buffet style. You made your own tea with a tea bag and water from a flask. This was not hot enough to make tea. It was lukewarm and undrinkable. The plates for the hot breakfast were cold. It was very mediocre. We didn’t have it on the second day. There is no housekeeping until 3 days have passed. So collect your own toiletries, tea, coffee, milk etc from reception. The bar, dining room and entrance hall were well presented. However, there was an overwhelming smell of burnt cooking oil, especially on the first day. The rest of the hotel needs a great deal of work. Shabby carpets, old scratched furniture ,paintwork needed refreshing, etc. The grounds are unloved. Not a flower in sight. To make things worse I had rung to confirm electric car charging as only Tesla chargers were shown. I was told there was car charging available. We were told the same on arrival. This is not the case. The charger would not work on our car, a Jaguar. This meant we were forced to spend a lot of time in the nearby Tesco’s, to use the chargers there. This was unacceptable. Overall this was not a good experience. Other guests seemed to feel the same

Sleepless night due to ongoing bathroom fan. Would have been a nice experience with family away from home but a great regret and waste of money. Staff tried to check the problem but no help was rendered

Booked Sunday Dinner Here As We Have Used This Pub Alot Of Times Over The Year’s, Service Was Minimum Food Was Absolutely Awful No Green’s For Vegetables Only Carrots Swede & Parsnip’s And They Was Luke Warm, I Ordered Gammon All I Could Taste Was Salt! Chicken Was Ok My Partner Ordered Beef That Was Ok,We Waited Over An Hour For This To Come Out Staff Should Make Customer’s Aware Of What Vegetables Are Available So We Could Of Either Ordered Something Else Or Made Alternative Arrangements Instead Of Leaving The Pub Totally Dissatisfied & Hungry!Wont Be Returning. Staff Should Also Concentrate On Serving One Customer At A Time Instead Of Picking & Choosing Who There Going To Attend To Whist In The Middle Of Service!!

Bringing together rustic charm and modern comforts, The Dun Cow is perfectly placed to allow you to explore Rugby, Coventry, Leamington Spa, and Warwickshire. Set within a beautiful conservation area, this bed and breakfast hotel in Dunchurch offers a comfortable night's sleep and the best value accommodation, as well as delicious seasonal pub food, cask ales and fine wines, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Named after the local myth, it is said that the Dun Cow was a monstrous beast four yards high and six yards wide, which provided milk to the locals! The story goes that a witch made the beast go on a murderous rampage before being slain by the Earl of Warwick.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights due to a wedding close by. The hotel was nice and clean, the rooms were a nice size, although the bed was a little hard for me. The staff were very friendly, the hotel does decent food and drink. They also do a nice breakfast. Close to golf courses, fishing and fairly close to Warwick and Stratford. Would stay there again.

Wow what to say , arrived and the fantastic receptionist showed me through the labyrinth of stairs and doors to a double room in the annex. Room smelled of smoke , but looked clean and a lot of space kettle and coffee no milk but hey.. WiFi easy to use and bathroom clean. Off to sleep..and then the night monsters appeared. The room above me came alive loud creaks of people walking seemingly getting louder until 4:30am followed by a climax of noise at 5am when the fun had hit its peak. Tried calling to complain but no answer..shame the hotel is not monitored and low life's with no respect abusing the hotel. Sorry gave it a chance but never again.

Stayed for one night for a wedding. Check in at 12.30 was really helpful. The room was small but with en-suite. Deco was very dated but the room was clean and had everything you’d need. It was a bit noisy - hearing other people up and down the stairs and creaky floors! The staff were really friendly and helpful - plus it was cheap!
