Cosy family-run hotel in the middle of the forest, 125 meters from the whitest sand beach. Mini Golf Course with free mini golf on the hotel grounds. Throughout the summer season offered great barbecue buffet at family friendly prices. All our rooms have a private terrace with patio furniture, refrigerator, TV and satellite channels. All rooms are covered with a strong (300 MBTS) wireless Internet - free for hotel guests. There is a bicycle rental service.

Reviewed By 173pernilleaSmall, cosy family-run hotel in the middle of the forest… it is not fancy but a really “down-to-Earth” nice, peaceful and relaxing place with beautiful and quiet surroundings – perfect for some holidays at Bornholm! We really loved the beautiful nature and “hilly” tracks in the forest surrounded the hotel for our morning runs which is by far the most beautiful tracks I’ve ever run. The “buffet” breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed the homemade food - especially the bread/buns and different marmalades :) It worked well despite Covid-19 restrictions - we felt save! The kids (aged 8 and 10) enjoyed the free mini golf course - while we had time to enjoy a great barbecue dinner on the terrace... we were served a big plate with a little bit of everything - that all tasted really good.

Smart and completely new renovated hotel. Attractive rooms with a fantastic sea view or with a view of the old town of Rønne. The basement locates one of the best spa and wellness locations in the North. Choose between saunas, ice cold spa baths, warm spa baths and salty spa baths. Your entry to the Bornholmer Diamond Spa is free when you stay in the Griffen Spa Hotel. Steakhouse with a view over the Baltic Sea. The Restaurant of the Hotel turns to the west; therefore at sunset the sun sets in the sea in front of you. The view from the restaurant at the Griffen Spa Hotel is one of the best on Bornholm. Lovely holiday location for a couple.

Reviewed By Eagle_dkTwo nights in db room sea view. Comfy room and beds. Style and decor a bit dull but funtional with good facilities and storage space. Great sea view and large balcony. Fabulous spa area, high comfort and appetizing facilities. Efficient wifi, ample and free parking. Good breakfast served in the welcoming restaurant with sea view. Corridors a bit worn looking, could need a fresh-up. Friendly and helpful reception staff.

Enjoy an imposing sea view from the beautiful rooms designed by Pernille Bulow. In the restaurant, you can enjoy a taste of the French cuisine and of course; the famous Fish Spread with an abundance of fresh fish, fish dishes and shellfish. The restaurant at Fredensborg Badehotel has a wonderful view of the sea, on warm days the restaurant expands unto the terrace in front of the hotel. The terrace is roofed and heated, so that you can also enjoy evenings sitting outside. Take a seat in the bubbling water of the outdoor jacuzzis at Fredensborg Badehotel (age limit: 16) or go for a walk to the hotel's private wooden pier (and maybe even for a swim in the Baltic Sea). Fredensborg Badehotel is located on the street with the highest real estate prices on the island: Strandvejen in Rønne. The pathways through the woods start just by the hotel, and after only a few hundred meters walk you will find yourself on a wonderful “secret” sandy beach.
Lovely location - but room for improvement in restaurants
Reviewed By 339hannenStayed 5 nights at the hotel. As in 2013 the view from the room was hard to beat - see photo. Also we found the renovation of the room to be very nice - the bathroom now have a very good rainforest shower and there were 2 nice armchairs next to the windows. For us the only problem with the room was the lock. When you left the room you had to insert the kay card to close the door and then insert the key card again to lock the door. We have never tried such system before and none told us on arrival. So - why only 3 stars? It is all about the restaurants. Like in 2013 we had the fish buffet and, yes there were oyesters, lobsters, shrimps etc. but apart from that nothing speciel. Therefore we found the price of 595 DKK p.p. rather heavy. Also - in our opinion - they did not conplied with the 1 meter distance. On Sunday I looked at the cheese board at 9.50 - 40 minutes before end of breakfast - and found it rather miserable - see photo - and NO more cheese added later. Also - like other says - we found the cold cuts nearly not-existing - on the first or second and forth morning we found a plate of salami and on the last morning a plate of sausage rolls. We also were not very satisfied with the tea - on the first and second morning we had green tea but for the 3 last mornings it was not available even though we asked for it. Will we return? Maybe for the room but we will look into reviews about the food before we book again.

Here you will be welcomed by a world of innovative green solutions with great benefits for nature. In the highly appraised restaurant you will be indulged with organic and local food. Hotel GSH is located wonderfully on Strandvejen in Rønne - in the middle of the city, the forest and the beach. You will be welcomed by large and well furnished rooms. Even tough the hotel is very new - you cannot expect all the furniture to be totally new as well. This is because it is more environmentally conscious to re-cover old danish design furniture with new organic material than to buy new furniture in China.

Reviewed By Per_K_1969The hotel is close enough to Rönne for easy going back and forth. The rooms are very big and they are clean. The reception staff is nice. All of above is the foundation needed to make a good hotel. But, the room interior is very spartan. Not cozy, nor thought through minimalizstic. The breakfast buffet is bad. Limited choices, empty, not appealiing at all. This is a good 2 star hotel, a standrad 3 star hotel or a bad 4 star hotel.

Reviewed By Steffen NWith a peaceful atmosphere, great service and electric bike rental this is definitely the place to visit as soon as you get off the ferry. Outdoor and indoor areas for dining and drinks. Did not visit the upstairs hotel rooms.

Reviewed By Dansker58Great location and charming hotel. Check in was smooth and we were shown our room. We had a room with a private bathroom on the ground floor. There was a dining area with free coffee, tea 24 hours. Breakfast was included and it was quite nice. The hotel is just off the main square and close to where all the buses are. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly too. We were able to leave our luggage after check ou which was nice. Great choice!

Good stay 2min from the ferry terminal

We arrived late in the evening with the ferry but this place is literally 2min from the ferry, and self-check in went super. Room was good, and the common livingroom was also cosy and had a little self service minibar. The hotel has a fantastic little garden where you can also sit in good weather. Breakfast next morning was very good, and staff was friendly. Overall a very good stay!

Basic but Perfect
Reviewed By PittTravelerMy daughter and I stayed at Posthuzed while visiting Bornholm. The hotel is right in the middle of town with lots of restaurants and stores in easy walking distance. The bus stop is a five minute walk which is very convenient. We were unable to rent an automatic car, so the bus was a must to explore the island. The rooms are basic but the beds are comfortable, the shower is good and the WiFi fast for a hotel. The breakfast is very basic especially compared to other hotels in Europe but it’s fine. This is a no frills hotel but a great value in a great location.

Reviewed By RiversFOWe were ripped/charged nearly 1000 DK a night for a "luxury cabin" with a bathroom and 2 small bedrooms for 6 people. one bedroom with a fullsize bed which turned out to be only a box-spring without a mattress. After the first horrible night sleeping literary on "springs", we requested assistance and no one helped us. The reception did not want to go and look at the box-spring, and argued that it is how it should be (without mattress) and that they dont give any mattresses for the full size bed. Staying there may be ok for campers, but renting a cabin is not recommended at all. There are 3star hotels nearby which are less expensive than those cabins and with proper facilities and services.
