Travelling around the Eastern part of Tasmania with some girlfriends for a holiday, Prospect House was by far our stand out accomodation. Absolutely beautiful, boutique location with exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything we needed (and some things we didn't even know we wanted) was looked after. Exceptional. Beautiful rooms which were heated to welcome us, outdoor fire for drinks before dinner, great food, wines - could not recommend highly enough. Thank you so much

Stayed here for 4 nights as it was a lovely town and good spot for day trips. Rooms were lovely. My only criticism was there was no microwave in room which would’ve been handy on the cold nights. Pub was good, excellent staff and decent pub meals. Great atmosphere.

Come and stay in one of the many different room types at Hatchers Manor and it should say “Gas Log Fire Heating in some rooms” Also the pink colour of the words , can we change that to another colour. We have many different styles of accommodation suiting tourists, locals, honeymooners and families. All Rooms have: Private Bathrooms. TV & DVDs. King or Queen Size Beds. Self-Contained Kitchenettes.
This hotel was so incredibly disappointing. I feel bad for writing this as I’m sure the owners are lovely but we has some serious concerns. The owners were away at the time so we could not tell them directly. Our room was very dirty. There was mud and dirt on the carpet, live worms on the carpet and in the bath. They were like black centipede looking things, mice poo near the kitchenette and mound in the bathroom. The bed was also painfully hard. I think it may have been the ensemble base not an actual mattress. We would have left but would have not been refunded due to our booking cancellation policy. We also had nearly no water pressure in the morning so could not shower. All this for $180 per night. Are you serious??!! There are some major health and safety concerns that need to be addressed at this hotel. Please lift your game and stop charging overpriced rates for the quality you are providing.

Daisy Bank Cottages is located in a beautiful farm setting overlooking the Richmond village in the Coal River Valley. The self-contained cottages are located within a converted sandstone barn that was originally built in 1830. They are beautifully finished and have a lovely warm atmosphere with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing holiday. Each cottage has an upstairs loft bedroom, and a downstairs living area with sweeping views of the farm and the township of Richmond. Beautiful antiques furnish the cottages. We are conveniently located 5 minutes from Richmond, 20 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from Hobart and we also make the perfect base for exploring the Huon and Derwent Valleys and the Tasman Peninsula. If you want to stay and relax you can explore our farm or just relax by the wood heater with a glass of wine.
We have just experienced two of the most perfect nights stays in Jessies Cottage of Daisy Bank Cottages. We chose Daisy Bank wanting to be close to the township of Richmond to experience what the historic town had to offer. We werent disappointed. We took the 3 minute drive from the town center to Daisy Bank where We were greated by two of the most beautiful and friendly dogs Pip and Charlie before being introduced to their owner and host Hana. Our welcome by Hana was nothing shy of friendly overwhelmingly warm hospitality and couldnt be more lovelier person to introduce us to this magnificent Cottage. On entry into the cottages theres a fabulous picket fence where just like you see in the movies a farm gate opens into the grounds of your accomodation. Stunning cottage gardens surround the grounds which were lovely and admired each morning whilst drinking our coffee as the sun glistened over them. The cottage is beautifully presented with a stunning kitchen with everything needed to cook a home meal which we did on both nights of our stay. Oven, stove top, full draw of utensils, cooking pots pans, full fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kitchen table and chairs as well as a lovely welshdresser adorned with willow patterened plates - total dream. The living area was cosy and very comfortable with a writing desk, large lounge, arm chair digital TV and coffee table, not to mention the magnificent pot belly fire place which kept us lovely and warm on the chilly nights. The bathroom is beautiful and bright with a shower and lovely spa perfect for soaking in after a day of exploring. Upstairs boasts a very attractive comfortable kingsize bed with beautiful windows overlooking the property and vista of the hills. The only issue we had was by our own accord, with our stay was it wasnt long enough! We adored every minue of the magical and serene feeling Daisy Bank Cottages provided and would not hesitate in recommending to any of our friends or family visiting Tasmania. As a Perth based wedding planner I will be adding this stunning property to our list of highly recommended stays for our couples wanting recommendations for their honeymoons as Daisy Bank is up there with the best. Highly Rated. To Hana, Ben, Hamish and Summer we thankyou for sharing part of your property with us and will certainly come back to stay again.

Taras is such a treat. A lovely welcome from Kim and Sharon, cosy comfortable units and such a great spot. We all loved the friendly chooks that kept us entertained with their antics and the few minutes walk down to the river. The walking farm tour ( extra fee but absolutely worthwhile and a highlight) with Sharon to feed the animals was fun and so entertaining. She is passionate about their rescue animals and a great storyteller. Brekkie was delivered to our door by Kim with fresh baked bread, chook eggs, juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit and ground coffee. Teen and tween both loved it and wanted to stay longer. Equipped with children’s books and toy box for little people too.

The Richmond Barracks is centrally located in a quiet, peaceful pocket of the beautiful Georgian town of Richmond. An easy walk to the famous Richmond Bridge and Richmond's main street, filled with excellent dining options, antique stores and Tasmanian craft shops. Relax and enjoy the spacious sun filled gardens that surround the beautiful cottages on our property. The Colonial officers who originally lived at the Barracks certainly did not enjoy the superb comforts you'll find here today. Built in 1830, using local convict bricks, this charming National Trust Registered property is a restful haven for the discerning traveller. Choose between any of these three purpose built accommodations: Lady Esther Cottage: two storey, self contained family accommodation, sleeps four comfortably. The Retreat: bedroom, lounge, kitchenette, bathroom, sleeps two/three comfortably. The Cellar: studio with kitchenette and bathroom sleeps two only. You'll be comfortable and warm with electric blankets and heaters in all bathrooms, and efficient reverse cycle air conditioning/heating in all cottages. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. A hearty, continental breakfast is available at an additional charge. Off street parking is provided.
I would have given this establishment 5 stars, but the way we were spoken to after an accident, that we had no opposition to paying for, left a sour taste in our mouths. Yes it was a great disappointment to the proprietor, but we didn't appreciate the tone. On reflection of our conversation, she may have thought we hadn't responded to a message that we definitely didn't receive, but still...... On the positive side, the cottage was clean and comfortable. (The Retreat) The price was reasonable. The situation good. We would happily have returned, but I don't think we will now. We might not be welcome anyway.
