Basiri Plaza Hotel was opened in 7 April 2013. While located at the Centre of Port Sudan – where Government entities, firms, public transportation, cafés & restaurants, shops and almost everything the city has to offer- is just around the corner; the hotel is at the same time at a walking distance from the Main Cornish & (20 minutes) drive to Port Sudan Airport. It includes (90) multi sized and styled bedrooms and suites equipped with modern furniture and amenities; many of which oversea the City Downtown and Port Sudan Harbour. Our facilities include Roof Swimming Pool, Fitness Club and Beauty Centre. The Hotel includes Lobby Coffee Shop Shisha Café, and Main Restaurant that offers a wide range of Cuisines & is presented by a crew of experts. Our fully equipped Conference Room hosts meetings and workshops. Diving, Snorkeling and Trips are also arranged for Guests.
Nothing works. WIFI doesnt work. Water doesn't work. 3 nights without a shower. No toilet paper. Staff act like guests are an inconvenience because standing up is hard. Never again. Don't do it to yourself, you will regret it. Stay somewhere else. Sleep in a bin. Or sleep on a goat farm where 150 goats lick you all night. Much better.

I spent three nights here paying 1500 Sudanese pounds per night (black market exchange rate was US$1 - 78 Sudanese pounds). It is such a nice place to stay. The accommodation was a really spacious apartment that was spotlessly clean everywhere - bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. High ceilings, clean bedding, superb aircon (and ceiling fans) and good WiFi. Also the kitchen had everything you’d need if you did want to cook for yourself. Muna and the rest of the staff there are so kind and helpful and welcoming. They helped me with everything I needed/asked them about. I found the location perfect. It’s about a 15 min walk to what might be considered the centre of this little bit of Port Sudan, and it’s in a nice quiet area. There are loads of good ful and falafel places just a couple of minutes walk away and also a juice cafe even closer. I forgot to take any pictures other than of the flowers someone gave me when I was out and about that I brought home and put in water in the apartment!

They are not prepared to receive people. The place is abandoned, no one to receive us, no one to clean the room, no light eletricity in the night and no water in the toilet. Full of mosquitos. We spend one night and run away the next morning. No clean beach there. I don't suggest to go there

An average Hotel (135 SDG) ,This hotel has good staff and average rooms, AC better , outside view is also better and its on the Docyard (you can see the Ships loading Unloading). No food and bathroom is average with salty water , TV channels are on the wish of the receptionast as its controlled from him, beds are ok , as all other better hotels are expensive . Its lovely walk on the Sea road at night. in my view if you are solo traveller you must stay there.

Founded in 1975 Baasher Palace hotel is a family-run friendly hotel located in the heart of Port Sudan. It is a convenient walk from the local bazaar and the busy boardwalk overlooking the port. The hotel boasts 69 tastefully-decorated en-suite rooms fitted with air conditioning, satellite TV, a mini fridge, and bathroom. A buffet style breakfast is daily served Port Sudan International Airport is 15 minutes drive from the hotel and a shuttle service can be provided Trips to beaches and diving spots can be organized Rooms suitable for meetings, conferences, seminars and exhibitions are available wether you are traveling for leisure or business you are assured attentive service and comfort
Quite environment,I like their garden though, I have not stayed there to be honest. I just go there from time to time to have breakfast - not bad for the city. there are two buildings new one in the picture and old building on top of the cafeteria. I would recommend staying at the new building I suppose it would be cleaner than the old one

Port Sudan is known among tourists for its excellent scuba-diving and beaches. There is no better way to experience the historic city of Port Sudan than through the 5-Star hospitality of Coral Port Sudan Hotel. The hotel is a landmark of the city and the starting point for exploring the beautiful surroundings, and is ideally located at the entrance of Port Sudan harbour with panoramic views of the Red Sea and the city.
The rooms are clean. Food was nice and tasty. However the equipments in the GYM was out of order. The service was also ok as well. They had a big swim pool but was not very clean. The location was nice, very near to the port.

Excellent place to stay for a more budget experience whilst still being clean and tidy. I stayed with friends for nearly 3 weeks and found the location was very advantageous with everything required being a short walk away from the hotel, be it the promenade, the main square or all the delicious eateries around Port Sudan.

Bohein Hotel is centrally located in Port Sudan, not far from the docks where it's possible to have a nice evening walk or sip chay like the locals do. Near it there are also a sort of sudanese street food and ice cream and pizza place, which are both good and cheap. Staff is very nice, accomodating and helpful, the guys at the reception helped me out a few times, always with a smile. The rooms are clean enough (take in account it's Sudan, not Europe...), there's good air conditioning and ceiling fan. The bathroom was okay, plumbing was working but hot water was not always available, even though given the temperatures in Port Sudan, it's not a big deal. Best asset of this hotel is the price, it's extremely good all things considered. The onsite restaurant instead has decent food but it's way overpriced IMO and I'd suggest to avoid it and go somewhere else. Free WiFi is present but it worked only few times and for a very short time so don't count on it. To sum it up, a great choice for both budget and midrange travellers, because you get a good location and good services at a very moderate price.
