It is by far one of the best accomodations I ever have - from designish room, to nice owners, to very good breakfast (cheeses, salami, fresh bread, cakes, fruits etc) to the quiet garden and nice housepets. The B&B is set in a small "real italian" borgo, where you can have a walk in the evening. Around location there are like 15 dining locations within an area of 15 km - just take the recommendations from B&B's owners.

I am so glad we booked here for our 4 night retreat within the countryside.. Marcella is a beautiful gracious soul who brings a delightful warmth to guest of the BnB as well as their restaurant.. She organised our breakfast every morning, and nothing was too much hassle.. Nicco at front of house greeted us upon our arrival.. he is the best man for front of house with his energy.. The room was great, and location excellent too for discovering other areas.. Highly recommend not only for their restaurant but take the time to stay for a few nights and enjoy.

RONCOLO 1888 is the perfect choice for all travellers visiting Emilia. Located the Tenuta Venturini Baldini, between Parma and Reggio Emilia, in the hills of Matilde di Canossa, RONCOLO 1888 is the ideal hub for visitors to the Food Valley and the Motor Valley. The beautiful and tranquil wine relais has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and offers spacious and comfortable double rooms, family suites and luxurious senior suites in Villa Manodori. The rooms are located in 18th century buildings overlooking the beautiful landscape of the Italian Garden of Villa Manodori, the vineyards and the adjacent Roncolo Natural Park. Guests are greeted with a courtesy bottle of our wines and are invited to a free tasting tour of our wines and balsamic vinegars. On request, we are happy to offer a variety of experience packages, ranging from cooking courses, tasting tours, hiking and bicycle tours, to Ferrari test drives in Maranello. The relais is immersed in the Tenuta Venturini Baldini, a 130 ha organic winery and balsamic vinegar estate dating back to the 17th century. Venturini Baldini is an award-winning producer of premium organic wines and custodian of one of the oldest vinegar cellar in the region, the "Acetaia di Canossa". Its unique history and privileged location make it a favourite destination for food and wine lovers as well as visitors to Emilia Romagna’s attractions such as the Motor Valley.
So glad to have found this gem of a winery/resort/restaurant in Italy’s ‘Food Valley.’ This is a beautiful home base for exploration of the region’s food and drink bounty. And, you need go no further out your guest room door for the best of Lambrusco and gourmet dining at the hotel’s on site, destination restaurant La Limonaia. Our room is elegant, chic, and exceedingly comfortable. Highly recommend this ‘off the beaten path’ place. It is special. Oh, and breakfast is sublime.

We stayed there for two nights. The room was spacious with apparent wood and artefacts crafted in metal. The view on the hills, the vineyards and the hives gave it an even more bucolic atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious. The chef asks whether we like salty or sweet and then, delivers only home made food produced by the staff! You can also have lunch or diner, but you'd better make a reservation because it is full with local clientèle. The wine is also produced on site. Finally, the personnel was very nice. It is an excellent place to stay or only have a meal. We recommend it strongly.
