Not far from Siracusa and Catania, Brucoli Resort is situated amongst lush flora and tall palm trees that give it a sub tropical feeling. The modern Mediterranean style building is made up of a central body with different wings, of one or two stories. This allows the building to be pleasantly emerged in the surrounding green park which slopes gently down towards the sea.
I wanted to treat my wife and I by booking a delux room with a sea view. The room has a tiny window and a garden balcony which if you exit and walk a bit you can see the sea in the distance. The room was stuffed with 4 beds and left no actual room for walking or opening the balcony door for example. The village is just a huge tourist trap. No delux. No sea view. After complaining we were offered an upgrade but frankly it was late and I’m sure the “upgrade” would be equally disappointing. It’s a bit like an up market Butlins.

Hotel is located in an exquisite ancient building on the waterfront of Ortigia, the historic centre of Syracuse. Giving onto the ancient "Mastra Rua," where the Siracusan nobility resided from the 14th century, the hotel is a starting point for cultural itineraries. Its recent restoration maintains the original structure made of three buildings, contributing to its dynamic layout. Rooms are furnished differently with antique furniture, four-poster beds and refined interior decoration with distinctive Sicilian touches and Mediterranean features such as colorful bathrooms tiles.
This was our second stay here. We had a very fine stay here 3 years ago, before covid, and were delighted to return. While absolutely everything was fine, I wish to mention especially the breakfast and the coffee. Both were the best we had during our trip in Sicily.

Lovely hotel - beautiful grounds and pool, amazing breakfast and really nice staff. Kids loved it. Dinner a bit variable in quality but the rest more than made up for it. Bit of a journey to Ortigia, but again worth it as this made it a spacious and relaxing location. Would definitely return.

The Minareto was born on a promontory which draws from the poetry of its natural beauty and the power of the charismatic history of the pride stand before the island of Ortigia, a masterpiece of art and history, heritage of UNESCO.has three different private access to the sea that allow our guests to enjoy of softy golden sand, that recalls classical caribbean little islands, or the rocky sea beds of the cliff,
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. We spent a glorious weekend at this wonderful resort. From the initial greeting to warm departure, the staff was friendly, attentive, warm. We had an Ortigia view room. The room was well decorated and laid out. Our balcony with the view of Ortigia was perfect for a late night snack or morning breakfast. We took advantage of the Minareto deluxe spa package. Well worth it. I typically don't like the wellness portion of packages like this but here it is private and luxurious. The landscaping is spectacular and meticulous. The use of native plants to accentuate the natural beauty while also creating privacy areas was well thought out. But we have to say our favorite part of our stay was the use of WhatsApp for all requests/communications. It is used to order drinks and/or food to wherever you are on the property. We are still amazed at how quickly they responded. The only area for improvement we would say is the food. We loved the reinforced apperitivo but the meals were not up to the high standards everywhere else on the property. The exception was breakfast, it met the standards of the rest of the property. That said, it will not stop us from returning. We are lucky to live only an hour away! Lastly, there was a wedding reception one night we were there. The resort alerted us to it and provided a secluded dinner option for guests not a part of the wedding, The attentiveness was very well received by us.

In between the enchanting narrow roads that constitute the old city center of Syracuse, where in ancient times the main square was situated as a point of conjunction between the isle of Ortigia and the rest of the city, and where once the holy fire of the Polis was kept, the Caportigia Boutique Hotel arises. One of its kind it’s the first boutique hotel in the city, capable of offering its guests personalized accommodation and services, with unique furniture arranged according a theme and a particular style
My wife and I have stayed in some amazing hotels this trip to Italy. The Caportigia Hotel is one the best. Roberto the. Manager, is welcoming and goes out of his way to make your stay in Siracusa a fun and successful one. Only five minutes from the famous Ortigia, the ancient city and dozens of restaurants. I truly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siracusa!

Relaxing Entertainment and excellent cuisine make the living room unique.
We had a memorable holiday in this hotel mid May for a week (our first like so many thanks to Covid) with our 3 year old. I think you can judge a holiday's success on how you feel afterwards - well it's two weeks since we left and I'm still feeling refreshed and invigorated from our stay, I feel like a new woman! The food was exceptional (breakfast out of this world with Sicilian cakes and pastries) spa with indoor swimming pool (a godsend for our toddler) stunning and the staff so wonderfully welcoming and genuinely kind - especially when confronted with a sometimes tricky toddler! Huge thanks to Giuseppe, Sebastiano, Simona (both of them!) Paolo and Salviano for making our time with you so special. We hope to return in September!!

The hotel is centrally located adjacent to the historical archaeological zone and within close proximity to the Paolo Orsi Museum, the shopping district, as well as the historical island of Ortigia. It's an ideal structure for both business and tourist guests. The hotel offers 93 air-conditioned rooms, and includes an open-air, roof-top swimming pool with panoramic views, a solarium, a conference centre, two bars, and underground garage and external parking. The inviting, full buffet breakfast uses local Sicilian produce.
Friendly helpful staff and the room was great. Just across the road from the Greek Theatre in Syracuse which is definitely worth a look. Close to the old part of the town in Ortigia. Rooftop pool and spa downstairs are great amenities

Placed in a late 19th century palace, Gagliardi Boutique Hotel is a small, elegant and charming hotel that recalls the ancient sicilian family house. It is also a boutique where you can find antique furniture, artworks and local handicrafts. It’s a wonderful location where parties, events and art exhibitions take place.
We are just back from a 2-week Sicily round trip. Of all the accommodations we have hat, the Gagliardi Boutique Hotel in Noto has been the best one. It is located at the heart of the town, just behind the town hall (Palazzo Ducezio), but is very quiet. The room is spacious and spotless clean. The staff are all friendly and helpful. My daughter did not feel well with stomach on arrival, they brought tee to the room. THANK YOU! Breakfast is great with fresh prepared meat, cheese, all kind of local cookies, fruits. The highlight is the rooftop terrace, from where you can see the town hall and the cathedral. We very much recommend this hotel to all travellers.

The Porta Reale Hotel is a gem in Noto, it welcomes you along Corso Vittorio Emanuele 161, a few meters after the Arch of the Porta Reale monument, in the quiet of the old town, closed to traffic. Just a few minutes walk to the splendid Cathedral, Palazzo Ducezio and Via Nicolaci, set of the Infiorata. Set among baroque buildings, Hotel Porta Reale is part of the historic center and since the main entrance you can feel the spirit, in the name of sobriety, elegance and modernity. The small Hotel is spread over 3 floors and the recent renovations wanted all the spaces functional and comfortable, keeping the original shapes and feelings of an old building. A modern elevator serves the rooms, all of them at the first and second floor, at the third floor the bar of the panoramic terrace. Independent and autonomous the air-conditioning, modern and “green” the electric system, the solar panels to heat the water, the sound and thermal isolation of the whole building. You discover the finishing touch little by little, original ceramic tiles or floor in local stone, fitted wardrobes, wooden fixtures and custom details, double glazed windows, a PC at the desk, perfumed linen and whites.
This hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking for our car was a private garage about 1 block away from the hotel (20 Euro per night - which is typical of what we experienced at other places during the trip). The breakfast buffet had a lot of selection and very tasty. The location is excellent as it is right inside the gates to the old city of Noto. Everything we wanted to see as a tourist was easy walking distance. It was a great experience, enjoyed by both couples travelling in this trip.

Inspired by eclectic architect, Mario Rizza, our urban design hotel is veiled in stainless steel mesh that dissolves at night into a diaphanous, glowing curtain. Inside the accommodations, you’ll find a mix of our favorite urban chic influences represented in timeless materials and warm minimalism, including hardwood, black glass, concrete and cortain steel structure. Enjoy our newly renovated accommodations. Welcome to our world.
We stayed at Unahotels One in Siracusa from May 22 to 24, 2022. We had a Smartbox voucher which we redeemed. A standard double room including breakfast. The check in and out is smooth and was very good organized. The hotel is located outside the beautiful historic part of Siracusa. About 7-10 min by car. Cab costs about 15 euros. Not recommended on foot. My first impression was good. However, the One does not meet the standards of a 4star plus hotel by far. For my taste rather a 3 star plus to max. a 4 star hotel. Positive are the very friendly, helpful and upbeat hotel staff. They can always give you a tip. The double room is rather small. It has everything you need. The bathroom is a bit small. When showering, the whole bathroom gets wet because the partition only covers half of it and there is no door. Unfortunately, I must mention here that the cleaning is insufficient. Likewise, the toilet paper made from recycled paper is not really usable. The breakfast is ok. Unfortunately, we were not told that we had to order everything (cheese, ham or salami, etc.) On the 2nd morning we could make up for this. Scrambled eggs, omelet or tomato mozzarella salad is no problem. Coffee is very good. Freshly squeezed orange juice available. The One has a great roof terrace, is set up lounge-like. Unfortunately, the bar is not served and there is no music playing. So there is no atmosphere and the terrace is not really used. We can only conditionally recommend the Unahotels One Siracusa.
