Lovely place right outside Valle Union
Reviewed By Hautvast11About 3 km out of town there is this lovely hospedaje with small but clean rooms, set around a court yard looking out over the mountains and their vineyard-soon-to-be. They serve decent, simple, home made meals and home made wine, don't bother going into (the boring) town just eat here. You won't regret it. Staff is friendly and helpful. It is a good base for exploring the national parks nearby.

Reviewed By tim252The cabin we had, number 2, was basic but OK. There was plenty of hot water and the aircon worked well. The check in was helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served from 07.30. The worst thing about this place was the filthy swimming pool, it was a major health hazard and a real,risk for anyone desperate enough to use it

Hicimos caso a las indicaciones que nos compartió Luis respecto al camino para ingresar al complejo, lo que no fue para nada complicado. (No ingresar por Av. San Francisco) Cabaña súper cómoda y desayuno seco súper abundante. Desconexión total y conexión con la naturaleza. Muy buena ubicación, hermosa vista desde su mirador. Muchas gracias Luis y un abrazo grande para Francisco!!! Sol y Mariano.

Wonderful, but empty hotel ..
Reviewed By Lotti BWhat we liked about this girl Awesome location: in the middle of the vineyard, quite Good 3 course dinner: tomato quiche as a starter. Bife with vegetables add a main course and flan as dessert. Including glad if wine and water. Excellent breakfast: very extensive including many fruits. We also visited the bodega after the breakfast. Rooms have a good size, with nice bed. We were the only ones in the hotel. We found this very strange for such a beautiful location and hotel. I wonder what is going on. What could be improved: Replacement of many broken lights The fact that no-one speaks a single word English and that employees get frustrated when we made an attempt to explain ourselves in Spanish using a dictionary and Google translate.

Comfortable but basic
Reviewed By stepheng227This property is situated within 10 minutes’ walk of the main square of Chilecito. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning struggled to keep up with the heat, and it was pretty noisy. Breakfast was very simple. Although it claims to be a resto-bar, the was in fact no onsite restaurant. There was a small pool, which looked rather murky, and we didn’t see anyone using it. Rodolfo, one of the owners, took us on a couple of tours, but this is not to be recommended, as he really just drove us around within any commentary. Look for professional guides in town.

Stunning and chic

Tres Cruces Wine Lodge is a high-standard and extremely well decorated place with very chic details which make you feel absolutely in peace with the lovely wineyards and mountains surrounding the place. Mauricio was always there to help if needed and we only wished we could have stayed longer. I would absolutely love to go back there to relax again.

GM rooms alone independent reserve parking UN Single Facility . Cada Suite cuenta con un sistema de llave que se otrogara a cada huesped, quien la devolvera al fin de su estadia. Es fundamental saber el horario de llegada o el horario aproximado de llegada para mayores atenciones y organizacion.
Feel like a guest of honor
Reviewed By Barbara PWe rented the whole boutique hotel during Dec2020 for my family and liked it so much that we came back on April last year. I'm quite familiar with traveling the world, staying in all kinds of hotels and lodges, and it's right there in my top ranking. Recently I could't make a reservation in time and stayed in the presidential suite of the biggest hotel in La Rioja and it made me miss the comfort and hospitality I got in GM rooms. Side to side, GM rooms wins in linens quality, cleanliness, decor, breakfast and other amenities (the biggest hotel doesn't have a frigobar nor cold water at your disposal!) Plan ahead and make a reservation. The hosts will make anything to accomodate your needs. They are all very professional and well mannered (another shocking difference from the biggest hotel). You will feel like a guest of honor. Do mind there are stairs to the rooms... though they will help you with the luggage, I see how that won't fit everyones needs.

Reviewed By TandTSwitzerlandI stayed for 2 nights here during my trip. The positive points are: good location to visit Talampaya and Ischigualasto national parks and Laguna brava. And the staff members are all very friendly. However the hotel is run down, the interior has not been changed since the 70ies or at least this is how it looks. The rooms are in a desolate situation, door is almost broken, rooms look very filthy and there is not much beside a bed and a bathroom. For example there is not even a chair to sit and there are also no furniture on the terrace. The bedsheets are very old and do not smell good. Realz run down. And there was also a huge spider in my room. The service is very limited and very slow. And unfortunately there is no manager around to ensure things are well done. The food at breakfast and dinner is ok but not good. Overalll not a place I can recommend. However it is difficult to find a decent hotel In this area. A pity, because the area has so much to offer!

Reviewed By Travelling_AxeThis motel is situated at one end of the town and far from restaurants. This property consists of many blocks of rooms, and they appear to be building more. Parking is on-site. There is a pool available. Water coolers are outside rooms along the walkways. The room is basic, and not well decorated, but large. The furniture and fixtures are dated and unattractive, with issues like the curtain rod falling off when you opened the curtains. A/C worked very well. The floors felt dirty and gritty. Windows open onto public walkways, so everyone can see in. There is a large, impersonal dining area where breakfast is served. We never saw it open for dinner. Breakfast is basic. Our biggest disappointment here was the unfriendly staff. They didn't smile or make eye contact. You were treated like an inconvenience. The attitude of the staff seeped through the whole ambience of the place.
