We stayed in this hotel for 3 days during New Year's Eve as part of a service provided by a travel agency. The rooms are just fine and it has a nice common area behind what it's called reception, but the customer service is a total disgrace, there wasn't any staff member who would help us at reception over our entire stay. The dinner room or "restaurant" is just a saloon with a few tables and no cutlery or set whatsoever and 2 cholitas that cook and serve the meals that are fairly disappointing. The last day of our stay we got a beef and egg sandwich in a plastic plate... the property is 2km away from the town and in the other side of a river but there is no bridge to cross it so you can only do it by car. We were never advised that in the town only 1 mobile phone provider has coverage and the hotel does not have internet connection let alone wifi... you will be left without any connection to the world without any warning (which is perfect if that's what you want but pretty inconvenient if not). I wouldn't recommend this hotel since it was just a rip off for us and surely for the other guests as well.

Lovely hotel! My room is spotless and clean. Do not listen to the negative reviews before, I have no idea what they were talking about. Anyway, my room has a truly luxurious feel to it with great inspiring decor and amazing design and great bed. Bathroom is super clean. Wifi is fast, faster than the Palacio de Sal Hotel which I visited before coming to this hotel. And finally, the hospitality is top notch. The owner is great!

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel with my parents in mid January and we couldn't be happier. The rooms have an ideal size (including bathrooms) and were clean in every respect. There was always hot water and heating, which is not a matter of course in Uyuni. The breakfast buffet is sufficient (it has a little bit of everything - sweet and salty) and the freshly made omelets were delicious. We can only recommend this hotel and thank Ms. Melina and co for the ideal service. We wish you continued success! Best regards from Switzerland, S.C.

We had difficulty crossing the border into Chile, so we arrived here late and Josie was very kind and helpful, even if she did give us all the wrong information concerning buses, schedules and necessary room changes. The following day was a carnival celebration so there were no buses. We had to stay another night. The blonde girl who works the day shift was rude and unhelpful and told us we needed to change rooms. We wanted to have breakfast first. They rushed us to change rooms, so we packed up and moved. Then, the same girl who had refused to call the bus company for me, told us that they made a mistake and we had to move everything back. We are senior citizens and we had to climb three flights of stairs. Our room was adequate. Breakfast was poor. The location is good. I cannot recommend this place.

This could be so much better if the service was good too. Rooms are clean and apartment style. Sadly electrical heaters arent sufficient in wintertime. Breakfast was ok but not great. We only stayed for one night and im glad we did.

This place was so nice. Uyuni is a small dusty town but this hotel was a nice relaxing spot. 4 blocks away from the tour agencies and strip of restaurants. Hotel has private parking and also Is gated so not anyone can just walk in. Beds are new and beyond comfortable. Got a great nights rest. Breakfast is okay. You order eggs, fruit, coffee, tea or choc milk. Yogurt and cereal options. Only thing I hope they change is the bread. They toast it ahead of time and it sits in the counter. So both mornings it was hard and chewy. I was sick one day and staff made sure I had hot water for tea in my room. Even when I got in late one day. Ladies working there are friendly and most helpful. Definitely would stay again. Or recommend

So much more than the world's first salt hotel: we are Palacio de Sal. On the shores of the majestic Salar de Uyuni -under an astonishing sky full of magnificent colours and stars- stands, bursting with historical significance, the Palacio de Sal (The Salt Palace). A haven of magical moments where every end of the day is the evidence of an irrefutable fact: no dream, however extraordinary it may seem, is ever diluted before it comes true.
We stayed at the hotel on May 23rd 2022. The hotel was hosting some type of business meeting with about 50 people. While all the hotel staff wore mask, and some even wore gloves, guest were not required to wear masks even though it is hotel policy that all guest wear masks in ALL public places. Each area like the bar and restaurant had occupancy limits. These were not followed. When I asked about why the hotel did not ask guest to follow the policy the management would not answer. (VIA Whats APP) they explained the policy but would not explain why they did not follow it. The 50 unmasked people congregated in the lobby most of the evening. Or they would move from the bar (limit if 25 people) or go to the restaurant, limit 61 people. Making it impossible for other guest to use any of those areas without having a high probability of getting exposed to Covid. NOT WORTH THE RISK. We moved to another hotel, which was much nicer only 200 yards away and the other hotel had very strong covid protocols and the followed them!!

Luna Salada Hotel built purely out of salt blocks, offers a high-level Andean Cuisine, Free Wi-Fi internet access in the Lobby, free parking and a very complete buffet breakfast. A Unique hotel offering rooms with stunning panoramic views of the Uyuni salt flats, which are finely decorated with salt blocks and handicrafts of the area, also equipped with heating, seating areas and private bathrooms. Luna Salada is situated on the edge of the salt flats and the small town of Uyuni is 25 km away, where the Joya Andina Airport is also situated . The restaurant offers regional and international dishes. You can request lunch and dinner for a fee. You can enjoy reading a book in the fireplace area or as well book an excursion to visit the salt mine. There is also a games room with pool tables and ping pong. In addition, it offers a bicycle rental service
I stayed at Hotel de Sal Luna Salada and Hotel Palacio de Sal. Here is my review of Hotel De Sal Luna. See Hotel Palacio de Sal for my review of that hotel. I will compare each attribute on how I came up with my rating. Check in process - 5. The process was smooth and easy. Staff - 5. Everyone we came in contact with was helpful and polite. At both hotels it was a mix of the staffs English skills, but we are in a Spanish speaking country and do not expect the staff to know English. Room - I give the room a 5. We had two rooms, a double, and a single. Hotel de Sal Luna Salada - the double - you walked into the room and immediately looked out over the salt flats through a huge window. The room had a desk, comfortable king size bed, sitting area that looked over the salt flats. All the furnishing were crafted of salt with comfortable cushions. The walls had local artwork. The bathroom was large and modern. The single was similar to the double only slightly smaller with a queen bed. But the view was just as spectacular. Both rooms had blackout curtains you could use to cover the windows and individual heating systems to control the rooms temperature. Hotel public area - Hotel de Sal Luna Salada - 4 - while some of the areas seemed to be upgraded some need some work. Food - included breakfast and dinner. Hotel de Sal Luna Salada - 4 - the dinner is waiter service we had three courses and we were given a nice selection for each course. Two of the folks have allergies, one has dairy and wheat and the other nuts. The waiter was familiar with the food options and made appropriate adjustments to accommodate the allergies. Breakfast was buffet with lots of options. We did not use the spas services.
