Going to a wedding in central Italy and decided to go to the coast for one night for swimming and beach. We came across Santo Stefano on the net and decided to look for somewhere to stay. As it was the busiest time in August, we had great difficulty, but Bike and Boat hotel called me to say they could give us a family room for 1 night. The hotel staff could not have been more friendly and helpful to us in booking and when we arrived. They went out of their way to help us make the most of the time we were there, recommending restaurants, places to see and directions to a fantastic sandy beach. Room was fab and the breakfast was excellent. They also hired bikes, but as we were only there for 1 night, we decided against this. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Facing one of the most beautiful bay of the Argentario, Baia d’Argento hotel is waiting for you for a unique stay. The hotel, recently restored, offers an elegant and refined environment where the Mediterranean flavours can be tasted, where the surprising view of the silver coast can be enjoyed, where nature, landscapes, and pleasure-trips into the Maremma Toscana and its archipelago must be experienced. There are 36 very comfortable rooms and 3 suites, the reception is 24 hrs. opened for your requests and information about your unforgettable stay.
We spent few days in the suite Letizia, which offers a large space well furnished with a very nice terrace and a great seaside view. The service has been great, the cleaning lady was very nice and professional. Among the downsides: - the breakfast was not super- we found that the croissants were not good/fresh as you may expect from a hotel if this category - the private beach is ok but a little bit small and quite close to the road- we enjoyed it nonetheless We found this place is a good pick in relation to its price

This hotel is just off the main causeway to Santo Stefano and has a great view across the bay with brilliant sunsets. The hotel restaurant is excellent and the food top quality. The rooms are modern some with balconies looking towards the sea

Located on the top of Porto Santo Stefano, almost hidden from view, surrounded by lush vegetation made of pine, olive, rosemary and unique panoramic location, Hotel Vittoria offers at his guests a magical silence, for a quiet beach holiday . The beaches are within walking distance of the village and a few Km by car there are the beaches of Giannella (4 km) and Feniglia (8 km) and the view of the Tuscan land. The Victoria Hotel has a large car park, outdoor swimming pool, bar, restaurant with panoramic terrace and Mediterranean and local cuisine
No staff, everything is old. Hotel was never updated since it was build in 60s, this hotel very hard to find because it is all the way on top of the hill, prices at the restaurant are outrageous (Talk about overpriced meals), no one eats there because there are no patrons at the hotel (GHOST TOWN). Breakfast consists of nothing but cakes and more cakes (not for diabetics). You will need a car to get down to Porto Santo Stefano but driving back up through unlit, narrow turns will be a challenge.

Staff were excellent and helpful - sorting out a parking permit for us, recommending an excellent retsuarant and accommodating our requirements. Very central location and a lovely view out across the harbour. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and at least as expected for the rating of the hotel. It seemed good value to us.

We stayed for four nights recently in a comfortable room directly by the sea. Good breakfast and dinner. A great location for both relaxing and exploring the local area, where there are few international tourists

Albergo Belvedere is in an excellent location, an easy walk along a pedestrian street (converted from an old rail line) to Porto Santo Stefano where there are plenty of restaurants and entertainment to be had. Getting to the hotel from the train station in Orbetello was easy with the bus if you are coming without transportation like us (but definitely check the bus schedule before hand as they don't run very frequently). The main areas of the hotel were lovely and quite picturesque. The rooms could use a bit of modernization and sound proofing, but for a quick trip it was just fine. Especially considering how expensive other places are in comparison.

Away from the overcrowded center of Porto Santo Stefano, but only a couple of minutes away, I really like the place. Vey easy-going, superb view, everything was clean and well arranged: from wi-fi to breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the host company and the fact that he could give perfect advices on the whereabouts on the island: from restaurant to beaches. He really didn't miss one!
