We recently stayed at this Hotel for a three night holiday. Nice Court yard room , extremely friendly and helpful staff, who along with certain guests, treated our dog like a Superstar. Excellent hotel which i would recommend highly, food nice, and generally an all round great atmosphere, and our dog enjoyed all the attention.

Not sure how many times I have been around the world however this is the first time that *any* establishement refused to accept a booking over the counter and insisted I book online. Their website was somewhat defective on my phone so I had to sit in the car and retry booking on another device. Truely innovative customer service. Other than that the place is pretty average, a bit grubby on the outside.

Situated in the historic market square of Tremadog (The Birth Place Of Lawrence Of Arabia) The Golden Fleece Inn is a truly traditional and quite unique family run Welsh Coaching Inn with a modern outlook on service and standards. I stayed in room 14 which is 100 yards from main hotel. room was adequate for a single traveller and clean. every day a bottle of water was replaced in the room. The food was very good at breakfast and dinner.Seems to be fully booked for dinner so a good idea to book.At least 2 real ales served. I was here to travel on the steam railways in portmadog. You can walk from the station in 30 minutes or there are buses or a taxi costs about £4.00. Staff were very friendly at the hotel and I would stay here again

Newly refurbished hotel in the heart of Porthhmadog. Close to transport links and attractions. Beer garden and play area. Food available with lovely homemade dishes and desserts. Range of beverages available. Free WIFI. Car Park.
Handy place to stay if you are visiting Portmeirion (10 mins drive). the hotel is located next to the station but don't let that worry you as there are very few trains so no noise to worry about. It wouldn't be fair to comment on the overall property as there were building works going on in the downstairs public areas and exterior. But all the carpets (including stairs) have now been replaced. My room was clean, warm and quiet with crockery & cutlery plus masses of hot drinks & porridge sachets provided in lieu of breakfast. I'd be happy to stay here on another visit and hopefully by then the building will be fully refurbished

Explore Snowdonia National Park and scale the top of Mount Snowdon from our Premier Inn Porthmadog hotel. Located in a breathtaking part of Gwynedd, North Wales with scenic views and connections throughout the area, our hotel brings all the convenience of Porthmadog town with scenic countryside views – Porthmadog station and Porthmadog High Street are only round the corner, as is Afon Glaslyn and Afon Dwyryd for amazing riverside views. While we have Snowdonia National Park on one side of our hotel, we’ve still got the coast on the other. Black Rock Sands Beach is only a 10-minute drive away with miles and miles of golden sand, perfect for a family beach trip in North Wales. The Maritime Museum and Welsh Highland Heritage Railway are only a short drive away too, and make a great alternative to outdoorsy activities if the weather’s not great. Nearby Caernarfon Castle is well worth a visit too, it has an amazing history and will be a highlight for any family trips or for anyone interested in learning more about Welsh history. Fill up on a delicious meal or unwind with a quick drink at our on-site Thyme restaurant. And after a busy day out in Porthmadog, look forward to a relaxing sleep on one of our super-comfy Hypnos kingsize beds.
From check in to check out excellent stay at the Premier Inn Porthmadog. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food in the restaurant was first class both at breakfast and evening meals. Comfortable room with views of Snowdonia National Park and whilst having breakfast views of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway. Plenty of car parking spaces also electric charging stations. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Not really sure how I managed to book this, must have misread the price. At £115 per night we expected a lot more than we got. A small room with single beds, albeit comfortable, the smallest television they could find, a very limited selection of tea and coffee in the room and no bottled water. Even the kettle took an age to boil. The en-suite was not the greatest as the shower cubicle was so small it was difficult to move enough to shower properly and there were no shelves for products. Breakfast has to be preordered the night before, not a fan but it does save waste, or as I was told, it makes it easier for the staff. It is taken in the adjoining restaurant, at the pre-booked time. The quality of the breakfast was reasonable but did notice that for the three days we stayed the cooking quality varied. I had scrambled eggs as part of my breakfast on all three days. Saturday and Monday they were lovely and buttery but Sunday was rather different, a bland, dry version. The Sunday pot of tea only contained one teabag and had no extra water to top up. Just silly little things but when you are paying those sort of rates, not good. Did like the Welsh pork and leek sausages for breakfast and the buttered smoked haddock is a must. Would not stay here again as the value for money is just not there.

Tudor Lodge, is a family run bed and breakfast located in Porthmadog, a small Welsh harbour town. Porthmadog is very close to the famous Italianate village Portmeirion, Black Rock Sands, Snowdonia mountains and the Ffestiniog Railway. Tudor Lodge is a superb hotel quality guest house/ bed and breakfast with the attractive building set in its own mature gardens just off the Porthmadog high street on the Criccieth road.
A good located guest house in the centre of Porthmadog, quiet despite being on a main road. Handy for all local amenities, including main line & narrow guage railway stations. We only met Clair, but she welcolmed us on arrival, and looked after us in the breakfast room. There was a good choice of foods available, depending on whether one wants continental or cooked breakfast.. My room was comfortable & clean with a good en-suite bathroom with powerfull shower. There was heating available when I needed it. There are facilities provided for disabled people, but advisable to check with guesthouse depending on ones individual requirements.
