Reviewed By sharonsW608ZEI have not stayed at a Marriott hotal for some time. This year found me at the Auburn Hills one quite a few times earier this yeat, and the experience was wonderful. All the staff were friendly, professional and attentive. I want to point out certain people. Evette, Asstant General Manager, is wonderful and handled my room upgrade. Derrick, front desk, is attentive and I enjoyed several conversations with him. Tim, restauant, brought me my decaf coffee more than once when first arriving in the restaurant for breakfast. Amanda, restaurant, was very attentive during dinner in the restaurant. I will be there again in July and look forward to seeing everyone and having a relaxing enjoyable time. Sharon S-G

Nice location but hotel is for budget minded traveler
Reviewed By chris92009I stay at courtyards around the US and this would be an average location, however the bath towels are the best of any location I have been to! While the air conditioning units are ok my toilet would occasionally get stuck and the water would run continuously, a simple jiggle of the handle would fix it but an annoying item regardless. Condition of the hotel is fine and the bedding is fine compared to other properties. I would stay here again but there is a marriott across the street that might be worth considering if you don't mind spending a few extra dollars. The staff is amazing! Everyone at the front desk greeted me with a smile and warm hand wave sometimes...always great in being helpful with any requests I had.

Polite and welcoming staff, moldy dirty rooms
Reviewed By yjddBooked a week's stay at Residence Inn, as I wanted a place big enough for my family and with a kitchen to save some money of food costs while traveling. I left after the first night. Checking in was a fine experience as the front desk receptionist was warm and polite, even through the safety mandated plexiglass that is ubiquitous in this time of pandemic. That was the high point of the hotel. The carpet in the room felt grody, the door weather seal was peeling away, the couch had some mystery stains that looked suspicious, and AC was incredibly loud (and since I drive an old diesel truck for work, I'm used to tuning out loud droning noises), and the tub had mold on the shower curtains and in the corners, and pubes in the drain. I did not give the hotel a chance to "make it right", as I suspected all the rooms would have a similar lack of deep cleaning that I'd expect during a pandemic, and any new room would simply have a surface treatment.
