I had no idea that this hotel was as green by surroundings and as green by practice as it was. Surrounded by green bush and grasslands, you wake up seeing Kangaroos hopping past your front door and past your car as if they were your neighbors. We saw rabbits and many wildlife outside our room. It was a green and off grid hotel by practice as they farmed their water by rain water and solar electricity. I was pleasantly surprised by all this setup and very impressed. The hotel room was modern and generally clean. Their manager Matt was awesome to deal with and always helpful. We felt very much at home staying at this hotel. The only down side on this trip was a slight flood in our bath tub. But overall the stay was great and my whole family really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back!

We had a group booking and everyone very much enjoyed their stay! Special mention to Phil, Tom, Emma, Brandon, Ruth - many who are familiar faces from May last year. The personable and friendly staff always add to the experience. Bar menu was great for a light meal and our dinner at eRemo was fantastic. Sitting by the fires are a great way to spend the evening. Breakfast options were excellent. Room was great and very comfortable - exactly what we needed for the time we were there. Bathrooms are on the smaller sides, but are beautifully designed and its not like you spend much time in there anyway! It has all the amenities you need when you are around the grounds, especially the insect repellent! Some additional lighting during the night might be a good addition, especially after it rains. It is also great that there are ground level rooms available at request for those who may not do well with steps as there are no lifts available. We are very much looking forward to another stay!

We stayed here for two nights. Our room overlooked grassland with horses. Very peaceful and beautiful scenery amongst the vineyards. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and everything you would need. The restaurant on site did breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great service and delicious meals. The resort was close to most of the wineries and there was also a walking track, swimming pool and tennis court. They also had wine tasting at this resort. Their is a laundry on site as well as a library.

The location is near the corner of McDonalds Rd on Broke road, being very central to wineries and a few shops. It took some time to heck in as there was nobody at reception and we had to wait for kitchen staff to do it. The rooms are quite large, fairly well appointed and the bathroom is also quite big. The shower works fine but wasn't particularly clean - the hotel staff said they'd had trouble getting reliable cleaners. Would stay again (assuming fair price).

Harrigan’s Hunter Valley offers quality, family-friendly accommodation in the heart of the Hunter. Obviously, the pub is close by, but we are also walking distance to Hunter Valley Gardens, Hunter Valley Gardens Shopping Village, Roche Estate and an array of local winery cellar doors. The rooms at Harrigan’s are spacious and comfortable with many overlooking local grapevines and across to the Brokenback Ranges. We also offer a two-bedroom apartment and a 3 bedroom apartment, perfect for families or groups. Some of our rooms also offer fireplaces, offering the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a glass of local red. For guests enjoyment, we have an outdoor swimming pool, perfect for the warmer months. When you stay at Harrigan’s you are in the midst of the best the Hunter has to offer.
Thought this would b great accommodation given what we were being charged. Found room very dated and in need of complete overhaul. Threadbear carpet, only one bedside lamp, furniture in rundown state. Very musky smell when furst entering room. Should have read reviews first. Would not recommend for price charged. Only saving grace is the pub is on premises. Definitely would pay to check reviews before booking here

Beautiful elevated property in the heart of the grape growing district of Pokolbin with fabulous views of the surrounding vineyards and the Brokenback mountain range.Quietly tucked away yet so close to all the very best that the wine region has to offer including only minutes to 4 world class golf courses.Recently refurbished and upgraded hotel style rooms are very comfortable with everything you need to make your stay easy and enjoyable with large glass french doors opening out onto your private veranda and perfectly framing the stunning vista. The separate loft/villa cottage provides a luxurious space with full amenities. The views from here are also fantastic with doors that open out onto the garden and courtyard area. Our small table grape vineyard and our neighbours extra large Chardonnay & Shiraz vineyard and farm animals complete the picture. The salt water swimming pool along side the BBQ area and the guest pavilion provides a refreshing end to a day out amongst the many cellar doors, restaurants, cafes, gardens etc during the summer months. The pavilion is the perfect place to relax and watch the sun go down.
We booked for 2 nights stay in a Studio cottage for three persons. Cottage is beautifully set with a balcony that opens into the greeneries. There is a loft with a large double bed and a single bed on the lower floor. Room is clean, comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen. It is set in a good location for drivers, as it is a short drive to both Cessnock and Pokolbin towns and to various cellar doors. We encountered an unexpected storm and blackout on our second night. The host was quick to reassure the guests and to ensure our safety and well being, walking in the strong wind and rain with blankets to keep us warm and parceling out battery operated candles, and checking in on us periodically. Luckily, the storm blew over quickly and lights were restored soon after. Definitely a memorable stay, for the beautiful cottage, views and great hospitality.

Guests can experience a relaxing stay in Tuscan-style accommodation, with uninterrupted mountain views in the heart of Australia's premium wine country. The Mill Restaurant offers guests a fine dining experience, while The Brokenback Bar presents a cafe-style bar where guests can sample wine and beer from the region.
My daughter and I enjoyed a two night stay. We were recommended to book a Vineyard Room and the view and privacy were worth it. It was not busy during the week so the adjoining two rooms were not occupied, consequently it was very quiet. Despite what some reviewers have said, we found the bed extremely comfortable and the room is a good size. The staff were all very helpful, both in the restaurant and at reception. The lighting around the hotel could be improved, that would be my suggestion. Good location for visiting the surrounding vineyards.

Looks nice however on closer inspection hotel is dated, rooms are unclean, dusty, stuffy and lack appropriate ventilation. Black mould is present in the bathroom. Worst of all they have situated a fire pit in front of the rooms in which smoke blows directly into room this has caused both of us to have respiratory issues which have continued for the last 2 days! Phone does not connect to reception and no room service contact instructions even when you scan the QR code. When you do call reception you are disconnected at least three times before someone answers. This was particularly poor as they had a loud alcoholic event where people where inebriated and egregiously loud and cackling until close to midnight (11;36pm to be precise - when I had to call to complain)! Bed linen is woeful and feels either like polyester and itchy or the washing powder they use feels like an acid burn - unbelievably the sheets crackle like cardboard when you move. Will not consider staying in this place ever again. Oh and they actually tell you to park at your own risk, whatever that's supposed to imply!
