Reviewed By ger bWe are a family traveling from The Netherlands to austria. We had a night over in hotel Liebl. The staf is verry friendly and helpfull. The hotel is in good condition and excellent for a one night stop. The trainstation can be heard but after 20:30 it gets quiet. There is a large parking space available behind the hotel. Ideal if you are traveling with a trailer. Al in al a good priced hotel with good conditions and nice helpfull personel.

An absolute Jewel in a rural setting
Reviewed By frances008I could tell from looking at the management photos, that Gut Altholz is a well run hotel, but never expected this jewel to be quite so lovely and charming. Approaching the property with its long, park-like drive is the beginning of a dream come true. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, the beds soft and luxurious, and the only sound one hears at night are owls and other nocturnal animals. Bathrooms are modern, quite large for European standards, with good quality complimentary toiletries. The breakfast, as expected is top notch and served in a separate, Bavarian style building. This is a family run hotel with emphasis on guests' satisfaction. Upon our arrival, the owner personally greeted us, invited us to coffee on the beautiful patio, which made us feel very special. This place radiates hospitality and charm. Sadly, we were unable to taste the food, as we were visiting the many wonderful monasteries in the area. Should you plan a visit to this region, stop at Gut Altholz for an unforgettable stay.

Reviewed By Michela GThe check-in at the reception was fast and good. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. When a lady that works at the pension too, led us to the room though, she was visibly stressed out and not very helpful regarding questions. Her behavior was on the verge of being rude and inappropriate. The room itself was ok. It was very clean and comfortable except for the point that it was annoyingly hot in the third floor with nothing else but a little fan to refresh the room. All in all, a decent stay.

Wonderful Hotel in Plattling
Reviewed By Laura TStayed here one night on a bike tour of Bavaria. Totally cozy, quiet room with everything I needed. The Cafe is simply not to be missed, as they just served me the most amazing slab of cheese cake I've ever had! I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat.
