Went to swim only reason we booked for son's bday

Reviewed By kellia739

We booked this hotel because it had a pool. We even asked if it was up and running and inside. Our kids were excited. We got their pool closed, and we still had to pay full price. My middle son asked to stay at a hotel with a pool for his birthday. That was all he really asked for. Not only was he disappointed, but my husband and I were NOT happy with disappointing him. At least a discount would have been nice.

Overnight stay on the way home from vacation

Reviewed By MurJo2021

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I gave a 2 for the staff otherwise it would have been no points at all. A portion of the channels on the tv did not work and were frozen. The bathtub dripped constantly. The bathroom sink sprayed all over. The bed looked as if it had been used and had 3 long black hairs in the bed! Neither my husband or I have dark hair. Not impressed with housekeeping.

Stayed overnight during a road trip across the country. I gave 2 stars as the check in staff were kind, competent and friendly. The second star is for the cleanliness of the room by cleaning crew, excellent. The room was tired and shabby. Na resemblance whatsoever to photos in ad. If you could get past the peeling paint in bathroom, cracked sink and stained carpet, you could enjoy the view of the bridge and river. Truly, the lobby has many appealing features like old woodwork and books. However, this hotel is very sad and tired.

Nice place, good value, but needs updating

Reviewed By Yvonne C

We stayed in a King Deluxe room with jacuzzi. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good - eggs, meat, biscuits, waffles, cereal, etc. Staff that we talked to were polite and friendly. No masks were being worn by anyone on staff or guests. (we'd have liked to see the front desk and person serving food masking) The pool area is ok, but felt like a greenhouse that someone had put random wood planks around on the doors. The jacuzzi and tub both need to be replaced - with lots of wear and a missing grate on the jacuzzi water intake that actually hurt if you put your leg by it. We reported this to the front desk as we checked out. All in all, it was a comfy stay where we got a good nights rest and a reasonable breakfast. It's not a place I'd pick for a romantic night or a special occasion given the need for updates, but if those are done, this would be a 5 star place.

I've stayed in all sorts of hotels, this was 'fine'

Reviewed By mom2four1966

The bed was comfortable and the temperature controlable, so I slept well which is my main goal. We had meetings in the meeting room and ran into some resistance/poor service and breakfast ran out, but that was ok; coffee was decent (no decaf but that's normal)
