In the historic town of Pemberton, on 2 acres of cottage gardens, around pool & BBQ area, this 3.5 star quality motel is just the place to center your visit to WA's South West. National Parks, Bibbulmun Track, Gloucester Tree, Tree Top Walk (1.5 hrs drive), 4WD & River Tours, World Class Wines and local arts and crafts all on your doorstep.
We found the staff friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. There was a patio area overlooking the garden which was nice after being out for the day. The only thing I think could be improved would be a more convenient power point to plug in the heater without moving furniture.

RAC Karri Valley Resort is a 3.5 star family resort & campground in a beautiful, natural forest setting. Choose from self-contained 2 or 3 bedroom rustic chalets, hotel-style rooms on the edge of the Lake or powered & unpowered camping options. The setting is spectacular, amongst towering karri trees bordering trout filled Lake Beedelup. Kookaburras, kangaroos, emus – truly an Australian getaway. Activities and facilities include: Canoeing, trout fishing, mini golf, archery, tennis, feeding the farm animals, bush walks, restaurant, basic general store and bottle shop. We are situated in an area where we have no mobile phone or internet coverage, so you can really escape.
This was our second stay here. Admittedly the rooms (esp the bathrooms) need a bit of an update. We stayed in a lakeside room - the lake view is so amazing and beautiful in the rain or the shine. We love the restaurant - so convenient and the meals are great with helpful and pleasant staff. We did archery, hiking and canoeing - but you could do nothing but sit on your balcony if that is what you like. This resort represents good value for families with so much fun stuff to do. We are a couple and we also enjoyed all it has to offer. It is not luxury but it does not come with a luxury price tag. Hopefully RAC will continue to improve and maintain the facilities.

We stayed at Forest Lodge for 2 nights. The price was very reasonable, the grounds are large and well maintained, our unit was well appointed, and the bedrooms had very comfortable beds with nice views out the front and back (ideal for watching the many kangaroos). Forest Lodge is owned and run by world acclaimed chef Ingo Maass, so the restaurant food was amazing. I would also acknowledge Rebecca, our evening meal waitress for the 2 nights we dined there, as she has a lovely personality and provided excellent service. We certainly recommend Forest Lodge.

Stopped off here after a trip to Margaret River.. beautiful area very green and lush .. beautiful woods. Hotel was average …room was clean .. staff appeared friendly .. hotel a bit dated … but the area surrounding the hotel made up for this . Would recommend the Gloucester Tree … definitely worth a visit.

In the heart of the world renowed karri forests of Pemberton. Western Australia ,nestled amongst the karri trees 3 hours south of Perth. The Gloucester Motel offers a range of accommodation from standard motel rooms to spa room and self contained units to suit everyone from couples, familes, corporate travellers or groups. All linen supplied, tea/coffee making facilities, bar fridge/ toasters and television. The Gloucester Motel is the perfect venue for small or large weddings or celebrations. Our personal service and attention to detail will ensure your function is perfectly and uniquely suited to your individual taste and style.
The Gloucester is fine, clean and cheap, but the whole place is pretty dated and past its use-by date. Restaurant is permanently closed and check-in ‘service’ was lax. No one there when we arrived, despite ringing the bell, and no one there when we left.

Luxury Chalets | Spa | Tennis | Quality Fishing. A country retreat built around Clover Cottage, an historic homestead in the heart of the South West, established in 1875. Overlooking the lakes and the river are four superbly built and luxury appointed limestone chalets, each with cosy wood fires, private spas and spacious verandas, making it not only a must for keen fisherman but the ideal place for a romantic getaway or family holiday.
The setting was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed my walks by the river. The cottage was so homely. The bath was very relaxing and the bread and fire on arrival was the best welcome after a long trip. Highly recommend

We stayed at Pump Hill for three nights. When we originally booked we read reviews online and chose Pump Hill because of what it offered for kids. With a 2.5 year old we wanted to take him somewhere he could interact with the animals and spend some time running around on the property. Pump Hill certainly delivered! We stayed in the Wattle cottage which was two bedroom, one bathroom. It is a brick and mud cottage (I think) and had a genuine farm feel about it. The cottage was clean and well maintained while still providing that rustic feeling. Unfortunately on the first night we lost power due to bad storms in town. I phoned owner Gwen who was lovely and she sent around farmhand Jo with some extra candles. The stove/oven ran on gas so we could still cook dinner and there was firewood available so we stayed nice and warm. There was also a BBQ at our cottage which we used on our second night. I had read reviews about uncomfortable beds but we found the complete opposite. We were very comfortable and there were extra warm blankets provided which added to our comfort. The next morning we met Farmer Jo for a tractor ride to feed all the animals. Jo was very friendly and we had a great time meeting the animals on the farm and learning about them. We were told that we could feed/pet any of the animals during the day and we took the opportunity to when we could. There were carrots and apples available at reception free of charge to feed the animals. On our second morning we met Mark who owns the farm. He was so lovely and had a great sense of humour. My son was just as excited to go on the tractor ride to feed the animals for a second time. We learnt more about the farm and the animals from Mark. You can see that he genuinely loves his animals and the farm. The children got to collect the eggs from the chicken coop and we discovered that Mark had put store bought eggs in there for the kids to collect (chickens don't lay many eggs during winter). This was a great touch and something the kids will remember. We stayed back for a little while after feeding time and spoke with Mark and he told us more about the animals and said we could go into any of the paddocks/enclosures and spend time with the animals throughout the day which was amazing. We brushed the miniature ponies and spent some time patting them. Overall we had a fantastic stay at Pump Hill Farm Cottages and would recommend it to anyone, especially those with young kids. The accommodation isn't 5 star but it was clean and comfortable. We booked Pump Hill for the "farm" experience and that is worth 5 stars! It was lovely to sit in our cottage and see the horses in the paddock in front of us. The cottage had cooking utensils etc for us to use and there is an IGA in town or a Woolworths in Manjimup so we bought our own groceries. Yes there is no Wi-Fi in the cottages but it was so nice to get away and just experience what Pump Hill had to offer and we didn't need the internet. The TV system is being upgraded in some cottages at the moment but we didn't go on holiday to watch TV! There is also a huge playground and trampoline for children to play on. Due to the weather we didn't use this but in the drier months it would be great. Thank you to Farmer Mark and Yogi Gwen for our fantastic stay. We will certainly be back!
