We had our wedding at the Peebles Hydro a few days ago. We had a really excellent experience. Lauren (the wedding coordinator) was fantastic during the wedding planning process and always replied quickly and helpfully. This was amazing as we live abroad and could not visit very often. John who was the MC made sure the day went smoothly and took away any stress from us. He is a true professional! All the staff were so caring and attentive to us and our guests and the food was excellent. Many of our guests had travelled from abroad and it was great to show them Scottish hospitality. Everyone at the Hydro worked really hard to make sure the day went well and that did not go unnoticed by us. We hope to come back and visit in the future and remember the excellent day we had with all our loved ones.

Cringletie was the perfect wedding venue for both the bridal party and guests for our Family wedding. A special mention goes to Natalie and all the staff who were so friendly and attentive. They ensured that the wedding weekend ran smoothly and without a hitch so our son and daughter-in-law have taken away the best memories of their special day. The food was amazing, the rooms so comfortable and the grounds were perfect for the most stunning wedding photos. Cringletie is a beautiful venue for a wedding. Also it’s pet friendly so our dogs were able to come to the wedding too. We just wish we could do it all over again!! Thanks again Cringletie for the most wonderful wedding weekend.

We spent a couple of fabulous days at The Park over the weekend. Val on reception could not have been more welcoming or professional. The bedroom was large and comfortable and a fairly recent make-over has really enhanced the overall look and feel of the hotel. We loved the nod to the local textile industry. Dinner on the Saturday night was excellent (we met our son in Edinburgh on the Friday night so ate in the city) The breakfasts on each morning were also excellent. Just a couple of minor niggles, the individual 'tub chairs' in the bar were a bit low down for the tables and some more creative garnishes for our gin and tonic, other than simply lemon, would have been welcome. It is also unfortunate that the bar closed at 11pm but I guess there's not a lot you can do about the archaic licensing laws. But overall a great relaxing break and we will definitely be back.

Had dinner here this evening with my partner.. and we're both sadly disappointed. My vegan curry was simply bland and uninspiring whilst my partner's Pasta Alfredo was the portion size for a ten year old. For the price is was shockingly poor. Not impressed.

Not the most salubrious hotel I’ve stayed in, it’s actually a bit of a dump. Felt like a working mens club as soon as I walked through the door as residents were having dinner in what can only be described as a “big hall”. No reception to check in, One of the staff who was serving dinner saw me looking around and said she could help. Room was very small with twin beds squeezed in to it and definitely in need of a major upgrade. Bathroom wasn’t any better. We went for a drink in bar and to be fair the staff were friendly enough and quite helpful. Extra blanket at bottom of bed was needed as room was quite cold but it really wasn’t enough. Awful nights sleep because of this. Breakfast was ok but nothing special.
