Paphos, the capital of western Cyprus, has some serious historical clout. Site of the vast fourth-century BC Tombs of the Kings, set high on a cliff above the sparkling sea, as well as a dramatic Byzantine castle and fine mosaics, it's also known as the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite. The population of 27,000 is swelled by a summer influx of beach-bound English, German and Scandinavian visitors. A beautiful old harbor awaits, while modern hotels and restaurants stretch along the promenade.

We stayed in room 4107 overlooking entrance, very good, no problem with noise and good side sea view. All aspects of the holiday were perfect, staff so good, food excellent, accommodation, cleanliness excellent. I could go on extolling all the positives but I will just say you will find it difficult to fault this hotel

A sincere welcome awaits at Annabelle, a family-run oasis set within six acres of lush gardens on Paphos' Mediterranean sea front. Cool, peaceful interiors, understated design and warm, caring service combined with 5 star luxury to create a distinct atmosphere of unpretentious elegance. Four restaurants and five bars showcase seasonal produce, delicate local wines and traditional Cypriot charm, with live music almost every night of the week. Glittering waterfalls reflect the tantalising blue of the Mediterranean; swaying palms slow life to a blissful pace and languid days roll into leisurely nights with impeccable ease... Welcome to Annabelle: luxury for the soul.
This is a beautiful hotel, situated close to the harbour and shops in Paphos. Three beautiful pools with plenty of sun beds and several restaurants - due to events that occurred during our stay we only used the main Fontana buffet restaurant but the food was fresh, good quality, tasty and varied. However, what really sets this hotel apart from any we have stayed at is it’s team of fabulous staff. My husband had to be hospitalised during our stay, and it was here that the staff really shone - I was supported every step of the way with practical help and advice but far more importantly emotional support and reassurance whenever I was struggling - every member of staff really cared, even the lovely doorman who went out of his way to give me some magazines to take to my husband in hospital - so thoughtful. Special mentions here to Marilena, Chrystylla and Valentina, Andreas in the dining room, Nikki and the Reception team, our lovely housekeeper who phoned for help when it was needed and Megan the duty manager who sat with me on my birthday when I was struggling - Megan you and your fabulous team helped more than you will know and I’m so grateful to you. So, if you want a gorgeous hotel in a perfect location, with lovely staff who will go that extra mile then this is the place for you - I really can’t recommend it highly enough. The only slight downside is the rooms in the Apollo wing are quite close to a loud bar which plays loud music till late. However, I think if we had been able to enjoy the nightlife as we usually do when away we probably wouldn’t have noticed it.

Stayed here in June with my mum, bed and breakfast. Done my research before staying on the Hotels location, yes it’s not near the harbour, however there is a bus stop right out side the hotel. For €5 a day you can get around the whole of Paphos. 10 mins one way to the harbour, and 20 minutes to coral beach which is an amazing beach. (If you do want a closer beach one near the Venus beach hotel which is 10 mins walk however not as nice) We was first checked in by Luiz, (arrived 2am) he was so lovely and friendly and remained this throughout the holiday. Paitence is also someone else who works on reception and was lovely and honest. Breakfast is okay, standard for what you pay for. We did book a sea view room, you can only see a little bit of the sea more pool, but we didn’t mind this. rooms are cleaned every day to a good standard so can’t complain, you can hear a little noise from neighbouring rooms however we expect this from other holiday makers but wasn’t too loud or a problem. Two pools, one main one and one on the upper deck, lots of sun beds so didn’t have to fight once for one. Bar manager George made us feel really welcome and is friendly, if you did have a problem then he would be more than happy to listen and sort it out. He makes great cocktails, and would make you feel comfortable, defo a 5 star. Overall, I would say it’s a 4 star hotel, clean rooms, get what you pay for, staff are lovely I really can’t complain, Defiantely would come back.

I checked out reviews before we went and they were all really first class and it definitely did not disappoint. We arrived late at night and they had chocolates, and Prosecco when we arrived. Our room had double bedroom, sitting room and kitchen. We were all inclusive but because it was so late when we arrived, they had a sandwich and fruit in the fridge. There are 3 pools you can use and one in the spa. All of them are great. You get pool service they bring it to you - Pina Coladas, other cocktails and soft drinks. The food was amazing. 3 meals a day and snacks, sandwiches and pizza. The dining room staff were respectful and lovely. The Maitre D Silvio was lovely to everyone and went the extra mile. You can also take the hotel taxi into the harbour 4 times a day or to the Mall. The driver Sergios comes back and picks you up -all free. They had singer, or guitarist, pianist at night but fairly quiet in evenings. We went into town - 10 minute walk - to BAYWATCH sports bar watched sports and the music was great. We did not go to the beach but again 15 minute walk. Some folk took local bus to other beaches. The going rate for taxis is about 10 euros. The TUI rep was there every day. We will definitely go back it was great. I would also do all inclusive again it saves a fortune.

Really enjoyed our stay. Here for a Wedding. Hotel & location are great. Comfy beds & airy rooms. Delicious food. Special thanks to chef Stellios & his team especially Zacharoula & Maria for the yummy desserts. Manager Mario took care of our needs as did all the staff. Always very helpful & polite . Lots to do for people with young families . even a mini disco every nught. Only niggle is that the pool towels come from the Spa & it only opens at 10 am..little late for early risers. One pool bar opens at 10am the other at 11am..again little late for people with families. Enjoyed the pools & entertainment with Aislin & all the Animation team... All in all a great holiday. Thank you Geri & Angelo Martinoli

The resort is nice and the people working there are extremely friendly and professional. The food is ok and there are spaces for adults only. There is no direct access to the sea and the internal restaurants are usually fully booked. We have a family room which is spacious and nice but in the evening from 10pm extremely loud due to the show. The kids cannot sleep and we are very disappointed (the lady at the reception proposed us a superior room but has less space and costs more…). So if you want to sleep before 11pm and have kids, avoid all the family rooms on the left side of the hotel…

Stylish hotel, with a feeling of luxury inside and out. Beautiful pools, plenty of options for eating in or out, with the walkway to the harbour and local restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Staff go the extra mile and nothing was too much trouble for them. We tried the spa, also excellent.

This is classified as 4 star, yet, at most, it would be a camping site. Sure the location and views are amazing, but nothing else is. Cold greeting by a hostile receptionist who just gave us the key and showed us the direction of our room. Our room had two single beds. When I called her to inform her that they were two single beds and we’d requested a large one, we were told there weren’t any. My husband told her that in that case we’d like to check out. She just responded with an “OK”. When I called to ask how the refund would be made, her response was “I don’t know...you didn’t pay ME”. She hung up on me as I was speaking. Someone from reservations then called and offered us a room with a large bed. Why wasn’t the receptionist willing to offer it, and why was she so “OK” with us leaving?? We accepted as we didn’t want to waste time on our holiday. The room we were shown to was FILTHY. I cannot even begin to describe the state of the furniture (with suspicious streaks and body oils) the disgusting toilet, and the oily fingerprints on walls and doors and cupboards. The bed had no comforter, just a sheet and bedspread. No coffee maker, no room service, nothing. The rude lady at the reception said housekeeping is done every other day (never ever heard of they at a 4 star) they only made the bed. Hair all over the floor. When I complained the next day, they sent a housekeeper who wanted to do it immediately because she wanted to go home. She grumbled to my daughter about the fact that “housekeeping is good”. It was mot. It was super disgusting and hygiene a zero. Pool opened late and you couldn’t get towels early morning. Breakfast we couldn’t even stomach trying it, even though it was included with our room. We figured that if they skimped so much on their hygiene, we wouldn’t want to eat there. This has to be the most cold, dreary, run down and dirty hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Hint: hire lovely, sweet friendly Cypriots...I mean, it’s Cyprus after all!
