Casteddu, become farm in 1986, is precisely one of the pens most beautiful and characteristic of that period, in a lush forest of oak trees that sometimes take on monumental dimensions, some of them over 800 years, such as those that form the outline.The rooms at guests' disposal are the result of a conservative recovery of the original theater that even with all the comforts of today, allowing those who stay to become part of an ancient and forgotten world. The stone, wood, cane, terracotta and lime are the only materials used in renovations. This allowed to preserve the atmosphere that the first inhabitants of 'Casteddu "have created and the farm was also made a point of comfort that 25 years from now attracts many lovers of good cuisine.We are sure that, if you want a relaxing holiday, yet a stone's throw from the beautiful beaches of Gallura, or simply come to enjoy the fine cuisine of the place, the Farm Casteddu merits a visit.

Reviewed By Enrico CThe location is ducked in the mountain. We discovered the place while travelling to Monte Nieddu. The Agriturismo Casteddu is actually very easy to find, it is well sign posted from the main road. You can't chose the time and there is no menu. However the hospitality and the quality of food are just amazing. Nothing fancy, simply excellent rural cuisine. They welcome you with a glass of fizzy wine outside the restaurant....and then you start eating and you loose the sense of time and the appetite for a day. It is a feast of flavours and a full on Sardinian experience! Well done. Really enjoyed! An awesome dinner!

Casa Sadde, a Guest House with an intimate and cosy feel, is situated in a secluded area of the Sardinian countryside. It is a haven of peace where you can enjoy a break, take the time for a leisurely breakfast and relax in the outdoors. Casa Sadde is an old family stazzo (old Sardinian farmhouse), nestling in the foreground of woodlands in the peace and quiet of this extraordinary corner of Sardinia. The architecture and natural materials – mostly wood and stone – are those used in the original house. Here at Casa Sadde you have a choice of both very old, exquisitely furnished late eighteenth-century rooms, with original juniper wood ceilings, and rooms of recent construction with a living area and large windows overlooking the gardens. Your awakening in Casa Sadde is made even more pleasurable by enjoying a cup of hot coffee served in the gardens, relishing our daily baking and homemade yoghurt made with fresh fruit and natural honey. A savoury breakfast is also available.

Reviewed By keeganmkCasa Sadde is, at the risk of sounding cliché, a beautiful, perfectly kept secret, just a 30-minute drive from Olbia and an hour from some of the Costa Smeralda's most remarkable coastal vistas, white-sand beaches, and chic port towns. My boyfriend and I stayed in the suite room, which leads to a small back terrasse and private garden with a private, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area that was terribly useful and absolutely delightful at all times of the day. Breakfast in the garden would lead to reading in the hammocks in the backyard common area, where you are lulled by the sound of the wind and the leaves and the play of shadows through the trees. The room itself is tastefully and unpretentiously decorated and is an ideal layout for couples. The room and kitchen area are protected by beautiful foliage and a grapevine-covered trellis that provides a natural sense of privacy and autonomy, making you feel like you are truly at home, all while being just a few steps away from Sara and her family -- and what a gracious and helpful host she was! Sara gave us recommendations and references on everything from local fish markets, restaurants, and Agriturismos to nearby beaches and port towns, and even let us borrow her Aceto balsamico di Modena (which we nearly emptied -- I am so sorry Sara, it was delicious!). It was wonderful being so close to someone so knowledgeable about the island and so willing to point us in the right direction. The property is tucked into the hills in a quiet, unpopulated area that is perfect if you are looking to escape the city and be in nature but also wish to discover the beautiful northeastern coast of Sardegna while avoiding Costa Smeralda prices and crowds. The nearest town, Padru, has a grocery and pharmacy, small restaurants, and a delicious pizzeria that is perfect after a long day of exploring. Note that you are a solid 20-30 minute drive from the nearest beaches and coastal towns, and an hour/hour and a half from la Costa Smeralda/Maddalena, however, the views that the winding backroads provide are stunning and allow you to explore the mountainous region and charming medieval towns around the northeast. Casa Sadde was a delightful surprise, competitively priced and worth every penny, it charmed us from the moment we arrived and is a decidedly special place -- we would not hesitate to stay there again! P.S. If you are interested in stargazing, ask Sara about the boulder ☺

Siamo davvero soddisfatti, tutto ottimo e prezzo onesto e adeguato! Tornerei anche per una notte immersa nel verde!
