Reviewed By 583okkSki resorts tend towards party, bars and booze although many visitors come to Lapland for the nature, the amazing fells, the quiet and the awe. Although there ought to be, at present, there are no organic, green sustainability respecting resorts, yet Pallas Hotel comes close to it. With its exquisite gourmet food, refusal to refurbish everything with plastic and new paint, its ice swimming pond, incredible views, history and tradition, it is the only Finnish hotel that qualifies as a Nordic equivalent to an alpine resort. The dozen fell tops at your fingertips, the wooden interiors, the laid back homely ambiance, the wild fauna and flora, the quiet, the views, the library rooms, the kitchen, the kitchen and the kitchen, and the chef... It is a gem for nature and hiking lovers.

Best sauna on earth!
Reviewed By ressut2016Very nice and well equipped cottages. Good breakfast included. Don’t forget to reserve the sauna by the lake. It is the best one on earth! The place is run by a local Sami woman and her husband. Really nice people!

Die Inhaber können nicht nur köstlich Kuchen backen, sondern auch das Abendessen war jedes mal sehr lecker. Die Zimmer sind recht groß und sauber. Aber die Badezimmer müssten auf einen modernen Standard renoviert werden, aber alles war sehr sauber.

We are a small family enterprise in the heart of village Muonio in northern Finland or as we call it, Lapland. We are located by the lake Muoniojärvi. We offer accommodation in cosy and clean apartments and cottages.In summer you can enjoy the beach which is across the road. In winter the cross-country ski tracks start from our yard.

Very nice place in the heart of Muonio, close to beach and supermarkets, but still a very quiet and relaxing place. Lovely owners that are always ready to help out. Both cottages and showers/toilets and clean and well maintained.

Reviewed By Tero NYou have travelled litterally in to middle of no where and staying in a cabin. Could be lovely. Instead of feeling welcome you are not alloved to dine at hotel restaurant??? At very same establisnent... No service but almost rude behavior from staff. Never again! Lapland is wonderful this place is not. :(

Reviewed By 677melwJust back from a week’s trip to Hotel Harriniva. Hubby and me and our 14 year old daughter. Every part of this trip was a highlight. Seeing the Northern Lights twice from just outside the hotel next to the frozen river, husky trips, cross country skiing trails, ice fishing. Also visited Artic Sauna World at Hotel Jeris and the reindeers at Torassieppi. Everything was wonderful about the activities, all of the guides were super friendly and well informed. All of the staff at the hotel were so friendly and genuinely helpful and they made the whole trip very easy as everything thing was organised so well. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We were half board with a hot and cold buffet breakfast each morning and delicious hearty meal each evening. We had an early flight home and they provided us with a breakfast bag for the trip. Our accommodation was basic/standard but spacious and extremely comfortable. We were sad to leave and felt truly blessed to have visited this wonderful place.

It started to get dark as I entered Finland and became difficult to see where the road was in the white out. This garage appeared and I pulled over only to see it had beds. THe rooms were excellent, modern, clean. TV and internet. Perfect and special when you are in the wilderness with no cell signal.

Cottages vary from basic 4 pers. cabins with fireplace to 6 pers. cabins with sauna and kitchen. Multiple activities on site.
The reindeer, the Northern Lights!
Reviewed By Roam64634317828Upon arrival in February 2018, we received cold weather clothing (reindeer mittens, boots and "snow suits") that keeps out the cold. We had reindeer sleigh rides over a frozen lake and through the nighttime woods. Magical! Terrific food and friendly, hospitable staff.

A night in Aurora Dome is a unique way to experience the nature. The comfortable Dome is a perfect place to enjoy the magical winter scenery of lake Torassieppi lit by the northern lights. The Aurora Dome is a round igloo-shaped tent with husky and reindeer themed decoration and one transparent wall.

Reviewed By TemperenceeWe arrived late at night without a reservation, looking for a place to stay. In the end, we ended up having the best night ever. First because of friendly staff, who did everything to make our stay pleasant. The girl even turned on the sauna just for us at 11pm. The cottage rooms are brand new and clean. The breakfast was delicious and they even organized a northern lights show above the lake for us (hahaha), so this place is absolutely perfect for watching aurora. Highly recommend this place!:)
