Not a good experience. There was no ice, I was informed that the ice machine was broken, when I asked for some ice The soda machine was also broken The front desk clerk was not friendly at all , she acted like she did not want to be there. The person that was upstairs was making all kinds of noises, not allowing us to rest.

Not much sleep. On the back side of the hotel you hear the freeway, and the fishermen departing very early. On the front side, there is a concrete manufacturing facility that operates 24 hours, even on Friday nights. You'll hear the beeping of backing trucks all night and an incredibly loud buzzer, on the half hour. The pillows are rock hard. The room was very clean, the shower nice, wifi good and the help are all very nice. The price has recently increased dramatically. I'm very sorry that I won't be using this stop Any longer. It used to be so good.

My husband myself and our three children ages 17, 15 and 12 decided to stay here on our way to Walt Disney World. Regular hotels are nice, but The Daffodale House offers a true B&B experience unlike any other. When we travel, we like to surprise our children with new & fun experiences that are outside of the norm. Driving up to a Haunted 100+ year old Victorian Home and announcing to the kids that this is where we were going to all spend the night definitely shocked all three of our kiddos. It was so much fun! Kathy, the lady of the house, is very responsive online, and she was extremely accommodating and easy to work with in preparing for our stay. We made reservations in advance for Kathy to cook dinner the evening of our arrival and for her husband, Scott, to give us a ghost tour afterwards. I highly recommend travelers do both. Kathy is a marvelous cook and served us a delicious dinner complete with a lovely desert and her famous peach sweet tea. My children are the pickiest of eaters and do have food allergy. Kathy was graciously accommodating and her food was so delicious! (My husband had the mahi-mahi, daughter ordered the ribeye, youngest son had the chicken and myself and my oldest son ordered the ravioli.) Everyone in the family cleaned their plate--a true rare event indeed! Scott is a natural and genuine entertainer with his fabulous stories about the artifacts throughout the property. The entire family enjoyed our conversations with him. My youngest child, in particular, loved hanging out with Mr. Scott as the two walked around the home taking photos and videos "hunting" to try to catch some of the "long term residents" on camera. As a Realtor, I enter a lot of homes. I don't like to see dust anywhere and if I am going to stay the night somewhere, cleanliness is a top priority. The Daffodale was absolutely spotless, 5 stars all the way. The sheets were clean and soft and the beds comfortable. The set up made it easy for us to adjust the temperature of the room to our liking and the bathroom with oversized shower was more than sufficient. Our entire family had a good night's sleep. The grounds in general are unique with beautiful flowers and a peaceful bamboo forest that seems to quietly sing as the wind blows through the leaves. Kathy and Scott treat their guests like family. I hope our children have as much fun at Disney as they did at The Daffodale House. We will definitely be back.
