MOUNTAIN TOP HOTEL is a vantage point commanding panoramic view of the lush of the mountain ranges below, where one can experience spectacular sunrise and sunset sight you will long remember.Just short walk to the Golden Rock pagoda , at the top of Mt Kyaiktiyo , the mountain top Hotel is ideally situated for those who wish to make frequent visit to the pagoda while in kyaiktiyo. The hotel at approximately 3.600 Ft.above see level. 130 mile from Yangon and about 1 mile from the ya-the-taung bus terminal.
It has an interesting layout, with lobby and restaurant located at the uppermost level and rooms scattering downward on the mountain cliff. The rooms we stayed were all having a good view. Rooms are basic, but were clean and kept in a good condition. Staff were friendly and tried to serve you at their best. Set menu for breakfast. It was ok. Dinner was ok too. Overall, it might not be the best-value one, but for its location, facilities, rooms and service, it should be the best one on the mountain top. I did enjoy my stay there.

Hospitality of services by the staff and they all are very willing to support in every ways to the customers. The rooms are clean, spacious, and net connectivity through Wifi are remarkable. Breakfast is very attractive with local traditiinal food and the services are quite perfect. I usually choose to stay at Queen Jamadevi whenever I visit to Mawlamyine.

We really liked the Eternity Resort. It has lovely gardens and we had a great room. There were a few negatives. The wifi was temperamental and unreliable. The room did not have a mirror, power point and a light situated together, making shaving (me) or putting on makeup (my wife) awkward. The breakfast was OK but not great.

What a great little find! Good location to walk into town to truck station to get up the mountain, that is an experience one must do! Rooms here were very comfortable, clean, hot water and large. The restaurant with the complimentary breakfast was beautiful, a great “feeling” from its ambience. We will certainly be back!

The Golden Rock Hotel is a vantage point commanding unique breath taking views of the surrounding mountain ranges and spectacular sunsets – sights that will leave a lasting impression. Uniquely situated in an idyllic setting amid lush tropical vegetation and age-old rocks, the Golden Rock Hotel is ideal for relaxation and meditation on your trip to Kyaiktiyo.Just a 45-minute hike to the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda (Golden Rock Pagoda), the Golden Rock Hotel is one of the only properties offering international class accommodation and facilities to travelers.Accommodation is in individual chalets strategically placed on more than three acres of wooded terrain on Mt. Kyaiktiyo. The distinctive shape of each building resembles the shape of a hermit’s hat, taking full advantage of different elevations and architecturally designed to assure privacy for each room. This hotel is a perfect hideout, far-away from the busy city, yet it is located only 2 miles away from the world famous “Golden Rock Pagoda” which is distinguished as one of the most awe-inspiring places in the world. We are the proud recipient of the international “Millennium Golden Award” for Commercial Prestige for Customers’ Satisfaction and the “Green Standard Hotels Award” by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism. Taking pride in our eco-friendly and sustainable operating systems we strive for a “Greener Myanmar”. A few of our eco-friendly efforts would include the mini-dam that was especially built on the premises for collecting natural mountain spring water for the exclusive use of the hotel. Our garden thrives in biodiversity consisting of blooming orchids, many varieties of butterflies and our own organic fruit patch. Some of these fruits are placed on your table to offer the best meal experience.Golden Rock Hotel has been the most preferred amongst visitors to this sacred site for our service, facilities and our ability to go above and beyond our guests’ expectations.
After a long ride from Yangon, a rather interesting ride in a crowded truck, and a short (if energetic) walk from the loading station, one is warmly welcomed by at the checkin desk, given a refreshing bottle of cool water and ushered to your room. Rooms are basic, but adequate and most importantly clean and the beds are comfortable. The water is hot and there is a TV and aircon, although it wasn’t necessary on this trip as it was quite cool already. The grounds are beautiful, full of scented flowers and pathways leading you down to the main building which has an area for wifi, although sitting on the balcony and chatting is a preferred event. The staff are very friendly and helpful, although the eagle eyes watching your every move over meals is a bit distracting, but plates are cleared immediately and you are attended to quickly, politely and eagerly! If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a town centre, then this might not be the place for you, but if you want clean air and peace and quiet (the trucks stop in the evening), the this is the place to be, a halfway house between Kingpun and the Golden Rock itself. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend at least one night as a break from the daily stress of getting around. One point to note, if you have a lot of baggage, or struggle walking uphill, then take the trucks to the top and change to one coming down which will drop you at the hotel. (The one-way system prevents them dropping you on the way up!

This is a very modern hotel which feels brand new. Nice size rooms with effective air con. Good size comfortable beds and river view for a small supplement. It's all on their website, part of the'Memories' local chain of good hotels in Myamar. Great staff, smiley and very keen. This is a true western 4 star standard and fairly priced too. The breakfast is good, individual service if hotel quiet, or buffet when busy. The restaurant is good for lunch or dinner, probably the best in town.Good choice of wines, well kept, and at fair price. And top hygiene standards. You might find cheaper food elsewhere but remember that this town does not necessarily have a clean water supply. Unfortunately no swimming pool, which is a great pity. Suggestion to management. I would 'brand' name your restaurant. If you could get the restaurant separately listed on Tripadvisor it would soon go up the restaurant ratings and bring in more business. It deserves to be busier.

I stayed in a riverside bungalow and really enjoyed. Spacious room with seperate bedroom and terrace, nicely decorated, comfortable and well equiped. A good value for the money. The location at the riverside is good, many places in downtown Mawlamyine are in walking distance (market, pagodas, night market...). Stuff was very welcoming and helpful. They arrange every kind of transport like local Tuk-Tuks or train tickets (without any surcharge!). Beakfast was local as usual. The restaurant at the riverfront is nice for a sundowner, food was avarage nd to expensive. For better dining visit the night market. Wifi was very good and beds are comfortable, not as hard as usually.
