Very good hotel, beach, services, ospitality, gardens, food. We had 2 problems, they don't have mosquitos repels or guard to protect you and we can't sleep overnight with the AC system ON, it was so noisy, they should fix this.

We have just returned from our second visit with friends. There were 6 families and 15 children with 3 families travelling for 11 nights and 3 for 7. Both parties had issues with Tui and delays both ways but this has all been publicised. Overall the hotel is immaculate, staff very friendly and all as you’d expect from an all inclusive holiday. If you’ve not been to Egypt they take US Dollars, English £ and Euros. I wouldn’t bother with EGP but you can get by easily with the rest. We originally booked a family room but opted to upgrade to a 1 bed apartment direct with the hotel as some of our friends had done the same. Our friends originally booked a 1 bed apartment but Tui changed this stating the rooms were no longer available. This wasn’t the case with Tui deciding they wanted to charge more for the room so if you have a similar issue try the hotel direct. What I would suggest is haggle over the price. My friends all argued that due to being let down by Tui that they wanted a better price of the $30 a night quoted and eventually agreed on $20 a night. I however didn’t bother to haggle thinking it was a set price and paid the $30 which I didn’t think was fair at all. Although I appreciate that they were let down the money paid was going direct to the hotel so I argued but wasn’t successful. The reception staff did not appreciate this so I eventually paid $10 a night extra for the same room but not worth crying over. The room itself was immaculate, cleaned daily with fresh towels provided and the complementary tea and coffee replenished. Both rooms had air con but they were slightly on the loud side. Our room seemed to be above a store so was a little noisy in the morning but nothing that affected our stay. There is a safe that you don’t have to pay for and beach towels and a bag are provided daily. We stayed around the main entertainment pool most days with plenty of beds being available. The lifeguards are really friendly with a special mention to Taha who was brilliant all week. He helped clean a cut to my head from a game of water polo and also gave us a spare arm band when my daughters popped. Please don’t forget these guys when tipping, let’s hope you never need their assistance but they will always help you with beds and get you a mattress if asked. We left our inflatables to be passed on to others but there are numerous shops on site to purchase some if you need them as well as a supermarket. They aren’t the cheapest so consider buying them from home before you go. A lady and gent come round every day speaking to guests asking if we had any problems or issues which I was thought was a touch of class about the hotel. I’ve been to some nice places and never seen this with any issues being resolved on the day. The entertainment in the day is what you’d expect. Lots of pool games, darts and some yoga/stretching type classes. The staff are brilliant, friendly but not at all pushy in asking you to take part. This was different than our last stay with the team being persistent in wanting you to join in. I didn’t get to know the team that well but “Dasha and Rey” were brilliant with the kids and always coming over to see if we were ok. “Rey” made some great attempts at saving some of my shots at water polo but not always successful, don’t look at the eyes “Rey”. The kids pool is under cover and there is lots of shade to hide from the heat. If you have small kids please buy some water shoes or something similar for them. I lost count the amount of times I see a child slip over and the whole pool area is generally just terracotta tiles and really slippery. The kids area does have some Astro style mats down but it doesn’t cover the main pool. My daughter had some Velcro style crocs and they were a life saver. Being Autistic she quite often bolts and without them my holiday wouldn’t have been a holiday. The hotel wasn’t overly busy and I can only assume the atrocities in Ukraine have impacted this with their not being many from either nation on their holidays. Due to this only 1 of the AI restraints open for meals and the snack bars throughout the day. The food was as you’d expect for a AI holiday with various fresh options, meats and fish but to a good standard. Don’t be expecting restaurant quality because you just do get that all inclusive. I didn’t get the names of the 2 guys but we tried to sit in the same area all week, inside the restaurant but immediately on the left and they were fantastic. They made sure the table was clean and ready for us and there was also a coffee waiting for me once I had sat the kids down. There is the option of the “Al a carte” restaurants which offer a better quality of meal. On our previous 7 day stay we had the option of visiting more than 1 option for the Italian and Chinese however this time around there was a limit to just 1 visit per holiday. This was also the case for our friends on the 11 night stay and I believe no different on the 14. How we they managed to haggle an extra visit and opted for the Egyptian restaurant which was a mezze style meal and they stayed it was very good. On both of my visits we have opted for the Chinese and I must say it’s the best Chinese meal I have had that has not been in England. You can order more than 1 starter and main meal so end up with loads of options and it’s all part of the package. The lager is also bottled here and you get a real feel for a proper Chinese restaurant. One of the only negativities is only 1 visit per stay and with the hotel no where near at full capacity it’s a bit tight to say the least. The snack bars offer all of the usual fast food options with all being cooked fresh and being served hot. The pizzas were great with the chef making you your own pizza to take away. Most of our party did have the “Sharm El Shats” so make sure you take the relevant meds. The day bar staff are great and always friendly. Drinks are brought to your tables and glasses collected throughout the day. Another slight negative for me was during the evening there don’t seem to be enough staff asking and bringing out the drinks. I have no problem at all and getting my own but with 27 people it’s just easy. The evening bar at the main stage had 1/2 barmen and maybe to working the tables so it could take some time to get drinks. We made sure they were tipped well but it just wasn’t possible for them to cover the ground they had to. Another negative was a barman telling my daughter she was beautiful and continually looking at her. He soon backed off when she said she was 13 and I was content to leave it at that. I was torn between dragging him over the bar and telling the hotel manager but I am not sure if the consequences so I kept an eye on it and left it at that. I didn’t want to get someone the sack for what might have been a genuine mistake or spend some time in a Egyptian jail for breaking a man’s neck. I did find at times some of the Egyptian men paid a little to much attention to my daughter and would literally blank me and talk to her. This should not reflect on the hotel in any way and may just be a cultural difference. The entertainment team are great of an evening with a kids disco being followed up but a show or entertainment. There is some in-house entertainment like karaoke, raffles, Mr (Lee Vane) Suraya competition as well as some visiting shows. The dance/acrobatic show was pretty impressive with the guys being able to bend into some positions I didn’t think was possible. Made me want to take glucosamine just watching. Shows stopped around 22:30 with some music being played after. The free water park is a short bus ride but we’ll worth it. Take some bottled water as the refreshments are a little weak and only from paper cups. My wife had a pedicure charged to the room and after agreeing a price she was happy. However when we paid we someone paid an extra £5 but it was too late to argue the fact as the bus was waiting. We went on the quad bikes that are just outside the hotel and no transfer at all. My friends had already been before I arrived and paid £30 with a bird if getting a discount the second time. They said it was a good trip but really warm with the quads getting quite hot. We open for the later version at 4pm paying £25 for a 2 hour ride and it was brilliant. My daughter and 1 took turn in driving and there are a couple of quick stops for water which you can take. A few things to consider. You need glasses as well as a towel or face covering as it’s really dusty and mainly through the fester to the coast. You can buy them at about $5 not not a huge cost. New took towels from the hotel to put across the seats and with some cold water on made it a bit more bearable on the legs. Don’t let this out you off though as it was a really good trip and well with the £25. We stopped for some pictures and little play with the hermit crabs before returning back to a short walk to the hotel. We went to the beach for the day and the day time snacks and food are the same as the hotel and all AI. There is some coral but the sea is calm and quite nice for a change. My friends went on the banana boat and said it was ok so might be worth a try but I didn’t go for it this time around. There are snorkels available as well as horse and camel rides. We did opt for what we thought were her skis and if this is your kind of thing don’t bother. What we got was a jet ski like body but with an outboard and steering wheel. The weren’t fast as all and had the turning circle of a tractor. No where near worth the £40 we paid for half hour. Overall a really good holiday with lots of Sun, alcohol and time with friends. I’m not really one for visiting hotels on more than 1 occasion but I made an acceptation for Saraya and I would do again.

This was our 3 visit to this wonderful hotel. I would like to thank Mr Ayman for having such a fantastic team of professional and extremely courteous staff. From arrival to departure we were treated wonderfully, by all staff, Waseem and front desk staff made checking in and out problem free. Nothing is to much trouble for them.Down at the pool Mohamed and Hussaini made sure we were refreshed throughout the day. The pool boys did a brilliant job, it's a lovely touch having your sunglasses cleaned for you.Lunch at the pool bar is lovingly cooked by George, our daughter in law and myself even had a cookery lesson! He really goes above and beyond slightly changing the menu to suit your needs. The main restaurant staff are terrific ,we we're well looked after by Reda, Nadi,Sanousy,Mahmoud. The main bar at night had good entertainment and again great service, Sami,Hussain, Ronaldo always made sure that our glasses never empty. Also our room (4018) was spotless when we returned each day, plenty of towels and toiletries replenished daily. It was lovely coming back into the room to see the towel art. Beautiful room looking out across the bay .Our holiday was perfect and we are coming back in August.

Leisure hotel offering all Inclusive service located at unique area at the Red Sea for all seasons. Multi nationalities and different cultures of the guests.
What we liked most is the staff that is very friendly and hard working. The hotel is clean with big rooms, very comfy beds, good services, good food, nice beach with beautiful coral reefs. It looks like 4 stars hotel and some parts are a little bit "tired" and the restaurant looks like a cheap canteen but these are small inconvenients. I do recommend this hotel, you can have a relaxing holiday.

Not sure where to start so let’s start from the very beginning Arrived May 25th 2022, long journey due to flight situation (won’t even start with easyJet) upon arrival, quick check in, cases sorted immediately and shown to our beautiful spacious room. We had a huge bed and both children had a small double each, just perfect. Coke water waiting in the room, lovely and clean, fresh towels, more toiletries than Boots and a beautiful view of the pool. Restaurant was beautiful, lots of food choices and also accommodated for any dietary needs. All food was fresh, the food areas all spotlessly clean, gloves and sanitiser all provided. All cutlery was set out in sealed clear packaging show high spec hygiene. All staff were friendly, supportive and extremely accommodating. The animation who always make any holiday special for the children were absolutely outstanding. Big shout out to the lovely Renyta Woodhouse who made the girls holiday so special. Renyta is entertaining, thoughtful, kind and a very talented young lady. Patrick, you were amazing, think kimberleigh our daughter wanted to bring you home. All of you play a massive part in the feedback the hotel receives, you make the hotel what it is. Aladin (General Manager) what a superstar! Looks nice, smells nice (best aftershave) and overall is very nice ? (joking apart) I have travelled to hurghada approx 8 times all different hotels, I have never seen a manager as visible and involved. We saw him every day mingling with guests, he would chat round the pool, in the bar, in the lobby checking guests are ok. The staff respected him and most of all he respected them. I cannot fault anything about this hotel, I’ve been to lots of other hotels in hurghada so can compare. On our last day, our flight was cancelled (won’t go into easyJet) but Aladin made sure we could keep our rooms and made sure our two extra nights were comfortable due to the disruption caused by easyJet! On behalf on my family and friends we travelled with we want to say THANK YOU Aladin to you, your staff and hotel for giving us the perfect holiday. ? xx

The Stella Di Mare Makadi Beach Resort & Spa is located in the prominent Makadi Bay area, on Egypt's beautiful Red Sea Riviera. Makadi is a peaceful bay with many opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving. The semi-tropical climate makes this both a summer and winter resort. With its warm, healthy climate and the beauties of the coral reefs, this is a place to delight sun seekers and water sports enthusiasts alike. Makadi Bay is a convenient 25km south of Hurghada International Airport. The location makes it easy to access the town of Hurghada, and there are many other notable places of interest nearby, such as the island of Giftun, which is a Marine National Park, where desert and marine life are protected by law. In fact, much of the Red Sea area has a protected status. The Stella Makadi Resort & Spa is situated on a white sandy beach, and has a spectacular house reef very close by, which guests may use for snorkeling. In addition to the natural beauty of its setting, the resort has the advantage of many facilities and services to ensure a holiday that offers a wide choice of activities. There is a Spa and Health club, a shopping mall and a discotheque, to name just a few Stella Makadi Resort & Spa guests are assured of dedicated service, with all their needs taken care of in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere
One of the most beautiful hotels that my family and I visited Stella Di Mare Beach. Beautiful nature and tranquil gardens. Stella Di Mare Beach enjoys a wonderful relaxing atmosphere and various swimming pools. We also enjoyed a variety of different meals in the restaurant with the presence of a distinguished staff. As well as drinks of all kinds and locations, whether in the restaurant or on the pools or the beach. Do not forget the good reception from the staff. I would also like to especially thank Mr. Hani Nabil, the information manager at the hotel, who showed every possible help in overcoming obstacles, as well as his interest in constantly asking if we needed anything. He was a wonderful and very friendly person. It is really a unique experience and we enjoyed your stay fady gerges
