A lovely old Town House hotel, rebuilt in 1780 for the Williams- Wynne family, then a coaching inn known originally as The Unicorn (Our full name is officially : The Wynnstay, Herbert Arms and Unicorn Hotel!!) We have been welcoming travellers for centuries, and would love to add you to that growing list, so book now to avoid disappointment!!!
Stayed here with our two young grandchildren for two nights . We had been there the previous October with adult friends and had a lovely time, nevertheless we did wonder how we would get on with children. We need not have worried . Staff were very pleasant and catered for the children's needs at meal times with a smile - despite the fact we had fussy eaters . We were seated discretely with plenty of space. The children were fascinated by the history of the place . They loved the creaky floors and all the historic features . As for ourselves, we enjoyed the delicious meals and friendly atmosphere so we are looking forward to our next return visit in the Autumn.

Called in for lunch on Friday 2nd June. Very busy but queued up patiently in line for 15 minutes to order our food and drinks. When we reached the front of the line to be served we were asked quite abruptly if we were with the car rally. When i said no the barmaid then told me i could wait and proceeded to shout down the line " is anyone with the car rally ? Would you like to place your order next "....and proceeded to bring people at the back of the queue to the front. the car rally had not pre booked lunch ahead of time and had turned up un announced. as i heard the conversations between the guests when they were trying to sit together. They were all paying individually and not as a group which is why we waited so long to order. to say i was gobsmacked and completely embarrassed is an understatement. I immediately left as i could not believe the rudeness directed at myself and the other people also waiting patiently to be served. My partner and i have worked in hospitality for many years and could not quite believe this happened. Totally unacceptable.

Moelfre is a recently established bed & breakfast in the heart of Wales. I have opened up my newly built home to those who wish to explore the countryside and all it has to offer with the luxury of coming home to a clean and comfortable haven.
Exceptionally quiet, clean and comfortable. Modern home with good facilities, including excellent wifi and en-suite. Excellent host - friendly, knowledgable and and helpful. Plenty of off-street parking. Rural outlook. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for two nights with friends whilst decorating our recently acquired holiday lodge in Pennal. What an absolute treat!! It was everything we needed and could have wished for after a long busy day…. cosy warm surroundings, tasty pub food served until 8, good wine and beer, warm friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was perfect too. Our host Rhys made it extra special so thank you. We will be back very soon.

A warm welcome awaits you at the White Lion Hotel. With its original oak beams, inglenook fireplace and cobbled forecourt, the hotel still retains its long history as a traditional coaching inn. Popular with locals and visitors alike, the White Lion is an ideal base from which to explore Machynlleth and the beautiful Dyfi Valley, the Cambrian Mountains and the sandy beaches of the Cardigan Bay coast.
We had three nights here and would return. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were super clean. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was delicious. We ate here in the evening on two occasions and the portions were very generous. Comfortable beds! Great value for money.

I stayed here with two other teacher friends looking forward to a nice relaxing bank holiday weekend before term started. We had been out walking Cadair Idris all day and turned up in two separate cars at 7pm to find the campsite manager a young Irishman drunk and incredibly rude. I could not believe how rude, antagonistic and awkward he was, the campsite was super busy and everywhere else was booked so I had to be very diplomatic to have a place to stay, after I went to the pitch my friend who did not witness my interaction came to the pitch and was bouncing with anger as he had had exactly the same treatment. There aren't enough toilets or showers either and everything is filthy. Worst campsite I have ever stayed in my entire life. I would never give my money to these people again under any circumstances.
