In the very heart of rural Cheshire lies the picturesque and unspoilt village of Prestbury which miraculously has resisted the breathless pace of the modern world and has retained the tranquil atmosphere of the perfect English village. Since 1952 the Bridge in Prestbury has been one of the country's most respected hotels, providing luxurious accommodation, fine food, morning coffee and afternoon tea, private dining facilities, an excellent conference centre and the very best in social entertainment facilities. We stayed for a long weekend and found the staff really welcoming, the ambience of the hotel really good, the bedroom very comfortable and the food excellent. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the great staff who made us so welcome.

Unexpectedly had to come and stay in Macclesfield for the night and not knowing area booked the travel lodge as at least you know what you are getting! Dealt with lovely lady on phone who advised that I needed to book this particular travel lodge to be closer to where I needed to go. On arrival greeted by a very pleasant young man called Karl. We wanted to know where to eat he recommended several places and gave us a map and went through it with us. It’s so nice to be greeted by such a lovely helpful member of staff. We are both from a hotel background and know how hard it is to find decent staff. Very clean room smelt lovely and fresh in all public areas too.

As you'd expect from the historic home of Britain's silk industry, our Macclesfield hotel is all about comfort and convenience. And comfort we have in spades - the hotel features our new generation rooms, with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed. Based in the quiet Tytherington business village, stockport/ Chester are easy to get to and the picture postcard village of Prestbury is very close by. Explore the wonders of the universe at the Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre. Stroll around St. Michael's Church that overlooks Market Place. Take to the fairway at the nearby golf clubs. Then after a day of work, rest or play, unwind in our on-site Beefeater restaurant.
Great stay, clean, tidy, excellent staff, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast staff run a slick operation, professional, friendly, with a large choice for cooked or continental. They kept on top of replenishing items and clearing/cleaning tables and there are not many of them to provide such an excellent service…very well trained(and it was a busy weekend)!

My daughter had her wedding here recently. The building, especially the bedrooms are a bit tired but the owners (Shrigley Hall) are slowly improving things and you can certainly see a difference As a wedding venue though it couldn't be faulted. Everything went smoothly, food was very good and Sophie, George and the team took care of everything on the day. Would definitely recommend for a wedding or party.

Handy for the motorways, plus great rail and air links, Premier Inn Macclesfield South West enjoys a prime spot within the town's historic green. So if you like countryside views, you'll especially enjoy a room overlooking the Danes Moss Nature Reserve. Explore the universe at the Jodrell Bank Science Centre, soak up some style at Tatton House and Gardens - or hang out with the monkeys at Chester Zoo. Then round off your day at the Fayre and Square restaurant - before retiring to your spacious room and extra- comfy bed.
Our room was next to the door to reception and we could hear it slam every time someone used it. Breakfast was cleared away at 9am. The "standard" room at Premier Inn is now so small as to be claustrophobic.

The Legh Arms is a cosy country pub with rooms, nestled in the heart of Prestbury close to Macclesfield and Alderley Edge. We’re proud of our food. So proud in fact that our menu is carefully chosen to incorporate only the freshest seasonal produce which rotates every quarter. You’ll still find your favourite pub classics with us alongside a menu packed full of delicious dishes homecooked with care and served with flair. It’s why we’ve got a reputation for being one of the best pubs to enjoy food at in the area.
Went twice recently once for breakfast which was lovely & tonight for dinner - whilst the food was nicely presented, tasty and executed well, I was genuinely quite shocked by the prices charged and the portions for the money Staff were lovely as always & a lovely pub I like going in as a local

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation. The traditional stone-built Church House Inn, on the edge of the Peak District, dates from Bollington’s origins as a cotton mill village. Now it offers a warm welcome for business or pleasure, corporate or personal, to drinkers and eaters who enjoy ‘olde worlde’ open fires with crackling logs and lively conversation in a cosy bar.
We arrived for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. The barman was very friendly and the food was tasty. It was standard pub fare with lots of choice. I had pie, chips and veg. My partner had fish & chips which came with an impressive homemade tartare sauce. A roaring fire and friendly locals added to the atmosphere. We'll happily stop by again.
