We are just on our way home after an incredible 3 day stay at The Rising Sun. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left everything was just perfect. The spotlessly clean room with the most stunning bath ever ( room 9 ) and views over the sea set the scene for our stay. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked using local produce. All the staff- Lucy, Jane, Anna and Rick were professional, courteous and helpful at all times. A HUGE thank you to you all. We are already planning our next stay. Love Kath and James xx

We offer a friendly service in a great location. Guests can enjoy an evening meal as well as a great breakfast. We are licensed so you can enjoy a drink whilst watching the sun go down.
Just a lovely setting, accommodation and hosts. Easy to find, clean a recently refreshed. After a 12 mile trek on the SW path, was so needing a beer and wine and Russell was quick to accommodate. We took his advice on dinner and had a great stay. Will come back.

The Bath Hotel is a family run, quirky hotel overlooking the harbour in the picturesque village of Lynmouth, where Exmoor meets the sea. It has been in the same family since 1951. We are perfectly situated just minutes away from the South West Coast Path and the famous Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway. We have 20 comfortable and quintessentially eclectic en-suite rooms, the majority with sea views. With residents bar, onsite restaurant and award winning bar and restaurant, The Ancient Mariner which offers a wide selection of locally sourced food and drink in a gorgeous setting, we are the perfect base from which to explore all that Exmoor has to offer.
Can’t find any faults with our stay. My family had three rooms, one of which was a suite (Braunton suite I think) so we were allowed a parking spot. The hotel is in a perfect location next to all the shops and the cliff railway. We had dinner and breakfast and the Ancient Mariner which was excellent with very friendly service. Rooms were renovated, and clean with comfortable beds. Great views of the harbor. Highly recommend.

We arrived at The Rock House Hotel after a very long drive and really looking forward to a lovely 4 days. It was not the break we were hoping for. Nobody really seemed to know what they were doing and admitted that they had only just opened and they were still learning the ropes!!! After waiting for a space to park we got the keys to our room. Nothing said about breakfast times and all the usual things when checking in. Our first night was very uncomfortable and we asked if we could upgrade to a better room but was told we had the best room (absolutely not, we saw the other rooms) but accepted that to our disappointment. We spent 3 nights very uncomfortable and listening to the man in the next room snoring for hours. The fact that I am quite deaf tells you how bad the partitioning is!!! The first morning my wife burnt her head using the provided hairdryer, even at the lower setting it still overheated. When this was bought the the attention of the hotel she was just advised to turn the heat down. We asked for a replacement which was left outside our room. The breakfast was terrible, everything deep fried!! That was the only full breakfast we had. We ended up leaving after the 3rd night as the thought of a 4th sleepless night was too much to bear. The hotel was also having problems with the toilets in some of the rooms and guests were having to move to different rooms, we know because we spoke to some of those guests. The location was the only good thing about the hotel but saying that there is plenty of other accommodation available. I cannot accept that this hotel has been given a 4 star rating, even 3 would be a push and at £140 a night for a very tiny room with a thin stud wall to the next room I would not recommend this hotel.

Sea fishing, river fishing, horse riding experience a ride on the unique cliff railway or just sit and watch the world go by on the terrace in the garden whilst enjoying a traditional Devon cream tea at the Orchard House Hotel
We stayed for 1 night whilst visiting my dad who lives in Lynton. We had the family room which was at the front of the property, no noise at all. Lovely clean room, lovely hosts, delicious breakfast and beautiful location by the river. If I were to give any feedback it would be change the menu choice form for BF to have tick boxes as our order got completely messed up and maybe time for the mattresses to be changed, ours was rock hard and with a bad back I didn’t sleep much at all. Overall lovely stay .

Set against the mouth of the East Lyn River amidst the magnificent scenery that surrounds Lynmouth, the Captain’s House offers the discerning visitor an ideal base from which to explore this beautiful part of Exmoor and the North Devon coastline.
Prompt service by the proprietor and straight offered cream tea which we didn't want. We ordered one scone but got two which were small and tasteless and not home made.Plus one tea and one coffee which was instant and poor quality. £9.50 seemed excessive and we had to pay cash as he already harm the change in his hand. Beautiful small garden made the visit worth it but wont frequent again.

Steve and Lorna made us so very welcome and it felt like staying with friends even though we were only staying a couple of nights. The setting of East Lyn House is stunning with very comfortable rooms, beautiful views and a terrace with lovely river and sea views. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. We were also very pleased to have parking which is an absolute bonus in Lynmouth. We would thoroughly recommend and cannot wait to return. Sue & Pete, Mansfield, Notts. Stayed 19-21 May 2022.

Cozy traditional Inn offering real ale, good wholesome home cooked food, warm and friendly hosts and staff. Six en-suite rooms decorated to a high standard with all the usual extras. We offer good value for money food, drink and accommodation all year round. There is also a log fire in the winter and a beer garden for our smokers. A wonderful experience, as usual! Lovely, tasty and reasonably priced food and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be returning when we’re next in Lynmouth. A must-visit for food and drinks.
