Rates are all-inclusive (breakfast, lunch, dinner, tours, transportation, park entrance fees). Located in the interior of the jungle, on the main Amazon River. Lodging is in traditional, authentic, stilted thatched-roof style house with private bungalows protected with mosquito nets and plenty of hammocks. At night camp is lit with kerosene lamps and solar powered lights. All accommodations are private with private shower and bathroom.
My brother and I did the 3-day, 2-night experience with Maniti. Our guide, Edwin, was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and made all of us in the tour feel included and welcomed. Edwin asked each of us what we wanted to do during our stay, and he did his best to make sure it all happened. He truly was our “father in the jungle”! The rooms are pretty basic, but they were clean and had bug netting. There is running water in the bathroom, but the water isn’t hot (which actually turned out to be great) and it shouldn’t be used to brush your teeth. Maniti does provide drinkable water for all their guests. I would recommend this experience for any traveler looking for a budget friendly option. When you go, request Edwin be your guide. He made the experience truly unforgettable!

Muyuna is a small and intimate lodge that guarantees the observation of animals in their own habitat (sloth, monkeys, birds, pink dolphins, piranhas, etc). Excursions are made in the most authentic virgin area at 140 kms (84 miles) upriver from Iquitos, inside the Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo Reserve. Muyuna has also strong ties with local communities in the Amazon River. With more than 20 years of experience and being pioneers in sustainable tourism in the area, we offer high quality and personalized service, for everyone looking for authenticity and nature in the Amazon rainforest.
This was the highlight of my trip to Peru. Muyuna's friendly staff made an unforgettable adventure into the Amazon. Wonderful lodge with comfortable, clean rooms completely screened in to keep critters out but let you enjoy afternoon rain and nighttime noises of the jungle. Julio was an amazing guide with intimate knowledge of the rainforest and all its inhabitants. The hikes, boat rides (day and night), swimming and just lounging around the lodge made for an unforgettable experience.

Expensive but worth it if you want somewhere half decent. The hotel is tired but the staff are fantastic and it beats a shabby hotel somewhere around town. No noise in this room compared to another hotel I stayed at. Decent sized bathroom and the air con is a welcome feel if you’ve been in the jungle for a couple of days!

When you visit the Amazon you must remember you are in the Amazon, not in a luxury resort in Mexico or the States. The resort was beautiful, on the banks of the Momom river. My husband and I were with 2 other couples we each had our own "cottage" it had a comfortable Queen size bed and a private bath. We only had electric for three hours in the morning and three in the evening. There was no hot water for showers. Remember you are in the middle of the Amazon. The food was really delicious, and the portions huge, we had to tell our guide to have the chef cut our portions in half. The true gem of our stay was our guide Alberto, he took very good care of us and spoke very good English, I can't say enough good things about him. He was wonderful. He and Charlie took us on a walk though the jungle which was great. Charlie knew all of the plants and showed us what they were, he even dug up some roots that the chef cooked for our lunch. The pools were beautiful, complete with a swim up bar. Although Alberto was the only one at the resort who spoke English the entire staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Curuhuinsi Lodge is a Community Project at 260 km South of Iquitos Near the National Park Pacaya Samiria Run by Local People and Local Guides,we provides lodging to people who want to stay in the jungle, far from civilization. We have 7 Bungalows with private bathroom and shower, we also have a hammock house to rest or simply to relax, there is also a large dining room and a kitchen. The accommodation is surrounded by a safe and very relaxing area, we have electricity available from 6 pm to 9 or 10 pm to charge batteries, cameras, ipads and cell phones, and a panoramic view of a tower that is in front of the accommodation while you enjoy the sight and sound of nature.
I spent two nights in the jungle. Gerson took care of everything. As a solo traveller I felt taken care of. Picked up at the airport and dropped off at my hotel at the end of my jungle stay. Gerson and Bala know the jungle very well and it was amazing to see how they spotted animals so easy. We saw pink and grey dolphins, beautiful sunsets, guacamayas, monkeys, many different birds and caught some pirañas. I had a great time and I’m glad I chose to make the Peruvian Amazonia part of my travel itinerary to Peru. I highly recommend Curuhuinse Lodge for an authentic jungle experience. Who better than a local to show you how life in the jungle really is.

Amazon Avatar Lodge is a magical tourist ecolodge and completely remodeled full of details waiting to offer you a unique experience filled with quality and comfort in a space in the middle of the Peruvian Amazon where you can fully enjoy peace, relaxation, natural beauty and mysteries this beautiful unique landscape...the majestic Amazon!
Avatar Amazon Lodge has nice tours and it's an easy way to stay nightlong in the jungle. The problem is the staff. In our stay they left the entire lodge without water for the first day. When they fixed up the water our room didn't have water pressure and since they fixed great part of the rooms decided to left us without water for the remaining two days. The lodge staff , mainly Eliseo and Julio lied to us saying that they did not have a room (for at least one day there were one empty) and didn't talk with neither Luis or Ninoska (the bosses) of our situation. Even if we complained about the problem asking for a refund they didn't fix the problem. When we came back to Iquitos the bosses Luis and Ninoska continued mocking us telling we didn't complained at all and that we would have called them. Note that in the lodge there is no wi fi and we hadn't peruvian phone card. So the lodge is fine but the staff is terrible, Eliseo and Julio will not hear your complaints and they will lie to you everytime they could. PS: since you'll pay a lot of money do not expect a great buffet (see the attached photo)

Each room has a private bathroom fitted with a shower with toiletries. A TV with cable channels is provided as well as free WiFi. Airport shuttle services and excursions are offered for an extra fee. Now feachuring a new Kitchenette. Santa Teresa is 26 km from Hospedaje Neydita, while Santo Tomas is 12 km from the property. The nearest airport is Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport, 7 km from Hospedaje Neydita. This property is also rated for the best value in Iquitos. Guests are getting more for their money when compared to other properties in this city.
Hospedaje Neydita was our stop for our first night in Iquitos before moving on to our rainforest lodge. This hostel was in a perfect location along one of the squares, and served our needs wonderfully! Hospedaje Neydita offered airport pick up which was greatly appreciated as the airport in Iquitos was very chaotic with taxi drivers and Tuk Tuk drivers attempting to solicit services. Check in was a breeze and everyone at the hostel was extremely friendly. Our room had large windows and located just outside of our room was a patio that overlooked the square for great views. In the morning before we left, we had great conversations with the hostel owner Luis. Luis spoke excellent English and shared stories of his journey to owning the hostel as well as the interesting people he had met over the years. We would definitely recommend Hospedaje Neydita for great location, affordable and comfortable accommodations, and friendly service!

Offer , ecotourism excursions to enjoy the great biodersidad that owns the Reseva including pink and gray dolphins all year and more. Plus we give experiential and sensory experiences of tourism visiting communities working in the protection of natural resources within the Reserve , safeguarding culture as Kukama kukamiria.
We had a great time at Pacaya Samira. The lodge has private accommodations with their own bathroom. They provided a net to avoid mosquitos and we slept wonderfully without bugs. Food is also incredible, we ate plenty and deliciously. The staff was very kind and careful. Our guide, Marden, has a lot of experience, even worked for National Geographic. He showed us with the help of Rogelio (motorboard) the whereabouts and took us the best spots. We saw a lot a flora and fauna and a lot of pink dolphins! On the last day, we had a full exploration day by boat, and had lunch in a beautiful spot with very delicious food! Thank you for everything!

Amazon House offers affordable, clean and cozy accommodation, only 8-minute drive from the main square (2-3 soles). It is located in a quieter street off of the main roads and the intense noisy sound of motorbikes and tuk-tuks. Breakfast was very satifying including egg, breads, jam, butter, many different fruits, juice, good coffee and tea. WiFi was working well. Thank you for made my first days in Peru much easier!
