some double rooms can feel quiet tight
Reviewed By Freedom10650705478Generally speaking the hotel is good, some rooms are larger than others (for instance, one of our colleagues had a double room with very limited space around the bed). Beds were comfy, they had a varied range of pillows to choose from (soft, semi-firm, firm...) You will get a nice sleep in this hotel! They have free, easy parking as well as wifi. We did not try the breakfast but tried the restaurant, which has bright lights around it (not great to create an atmosphere) and left us a bit disappointed. The staff member that dealt with us was very unpleasant (apparently, he is always like that, but we gave him the benefit of the doubt) and the food was appalling. We ordered pizza, they didn't have any vegetarian ones and the one with tuna was one that had just been put in the microwave. It looked like dog food and it didn't feel nice at all. If you order salad and a portion of chips they charge you a whopping 15 euros, which felt unfair. The hotel has potential but certain areas will need to be reviewed.

Reviewed By prujimLocated on the western outskirts of the town, the hotel is easily accessible from main routes, and there is plentiful parking space available. Check-in was efficiently completed by friendly and helpful reception staff. Our large room was quiet, comfortable and well-furnished, with all necessary facilities. An excellent buffet breakfast provided a wide choice of hot and cold options. For a 4-star hotel this represents fine value for money We did not take advantage of the spa and gardens, our main reason for visiting the town being the renowned Semana Santa processions for which Lorca is justifiably famous.

Wonderful anniversary trip
Reviewed By HundaWe booked Los Sibileys for 2 days for our anniversary, having read the great reviews about it and knowing we would have a wonderful anniversary dinner and we were not wrong!! Its a beautiful home in the middle of nowhere with great views and walks and Steve and Debbie are great hosts and above all great chefs.......we had a superb dinner, had our first swim of the year the next day in their pool and had a thoroughly relaxing time for the two days,, taking in a tour of the nearby towns of Velez-Blanco and its lovely 16c Renaissance castle, and Velez Rubio on day 2. and a lovely walk on our last morning before we left with a map which Debbie drew for us, they are so accommodating and nothing is too much trouble, thanks so much to you both for making our anniversary so memorable.

Reviewed By Mari ÖThe beach was full of kelp and the water was dirty. The beautiful pictures when you google were not at all as reality. We went back on the road and found a much better beach, Playa Parazuelos, many tumbs up!

Contras: Habitación cuyas paredes y ventanas dejan pasar todo tipo de ruidos, calefacción que no teníamos ni mando y claro cuando nos dimos cuenta era demasiado tarde por lo que hemos pasado algo de frío. No hay ascensor así que si vas cargado tienes que ir dos pisos con el equipaje cargando por las escaleras.

Nice albergue in pleasant village
Reviewed By viaUAAI stayed in this albergue when walking camino Frances. My experience was very good. Lorca villlage is very pleasant, especially the main court with water fountain. The dormitories are nice and more cosy compared to large municipal albergues. The lady at the desk was helpful and prepared to talk and i like that you do not need to wait for a dinner until late (e.g. commonly until 8 p.m.), but you can order anytime in the afternoon, bacuse the kicthen operates also at that time. Only warning that was given by the lady (owner) was that she do not recommend to take breakfast at nthe albergue on the opposite side, since they are not frendly to the guests of her albergue. Namely, in the morning the kitchen does not open very early, so you need either to prepare your own breakfast (there is shared kitchen available) either you can buy so called breakfast package and prepare it on your own.

Modern complex recently inaugurated with 18 rooms and halls for celebrations and conventions for up to 800 people, is located about 10 minutes from the center of Lorca. The rooms totally are equipped with flat screen TV, minibar, telephone, Internet connection, complete bath and terrace. The emphasis of its well-taken care of gardens is a swimming pool for adults in the form of a lake.
A convenient oasis of calm
Reviewed By 5_9_2_8We ended up here for Breakfast (having been staying in the Paraodor, where there was no service at the 18 euro breakfast so left for the coast and in search of breakfast). It is just off the main dual carriageway so ultra convenient for Lorca or Aguila, but it feels a hundred miles from the road. We were greeted warmly, had an excellent breakfast - great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice...for 5 euros each. The service was excellent (and a sharp contrast to the Parador). We then had a wander around - a lovely terrace area and pool, with rooms around this. It all exuded charm and we wish we had been staying here. It was just lovely!
