Excellent stay during our ski holiday
Reviewed By sebashekWe had a very pleasant stay at Haus Patricia. The 'lady of the house' is very kind and helpful. The rooms were very clean. They've thought of every little detail. Hospitality is 10 out of 10. Location is - as advertised - not more than 300 meters to the ski area.

Reviewed By Izabela1111We had an absolutely delightful stay. The room was spacious and very clean, the view was breathtaking and the staff were very polite and helpful. Very welcoming place and people. Shame we couldn't stay longer.

Servus im STOANA, Die beiden Steiner Wirtinnen Lisa&Julia heißen Euch im neuen Steinerwirt - hangout&hotel im Herzen von Lofer willkommen. Euch erwarten eine entspannte Atmosphäre, viel Inspiration, Boho-Chic und spanisch/internationale Küche. Manchmal sind wir laut, manchmal leise. Frühstück gibt es bei uns ALL DAY LONG und Dienstag + Freitag feiern die "LA FIESTA STOANA" . Bei uns im hangout&hotel - der Steinerwirt findet jeder seinen Platz. Wir freuen uns auf Euch!

We were warmly welcomed and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially in times of Corona we felt so comfortable and in good hands as there was enough space and everything was extremely clean. The food was extremely good and we love the Austrian wine ;-) Great location, great concept and extremely well run. We will be back!!!! Many thanks to the great team

Bland, uninspiring, oldfashioned, not welcoming
Reviewed By ToemaarjongensThe hotel was for 2 nights the start-off point for a hiking trip in the Saalachtal. We would much rather have preferred another place. We were not welcomed as we would expect (we were half an hour later for dinner than preferred by the management), directly told to move the car 'around the corner' (without specifying how/where), the food was cooked dead, the overall expressions of the management (family) was as if they would have wanted to stop working for the last 10 years. the room was large enough, but curtains require eyeshades for the morning (unless you want to wake up at the crack of dawn). Breakfast was unattractive, especially if you arrive later than the other guests. The fruit was literally full of little flies (no covers to avoid that), out of bread rolls, cheese, yoghurt finished. The message was: if you need something, let me know. That is turning the world upside down: not caring for your guests. As soon as we left the eating room, we heard the door being locked behind us and the patrons were not to be found anymore. No offering of the wifi password, no pro-active attitude on anything towards us. For us this was a-typical of a friendly austrian hotel. Maybe because of the position that it is located right next to the ski-lift? So patronage guaranteed in wintertime? The overall atmosphere was of disinterest of the guest, outdated outfitting of the place including the sanitary amenities in the bathroom. Food was totally uninteresting. Sorry I cannot be more positive...

Charming Hotel
Reviewed By Mary SWe stayed in Lofer on the recommendation of a relative, the village did not disappointed. The hotel was chosen by googling and we made a great choice. Our room was on the third floor at the back of the hotel with a balcony. Glorious views of the mountains, as it was very warm we could sleep with the door open. The room was large, plenty of wardrobe space and a spacious and up to date shower room. WiFi was very weak in our room but fine the main areas. The food was exceptional, breakfast was perfect, great choice and beautifully presented. The drinks were free and a lovely touch. Our evening meal was very good. Service was great. A kettle would be great for tea or coffee on awakening PLEASE!!! It was under 5 mins walk to the cable cars to take us up to the alpine meadows for endless walks. It helped we had wall to wall sunshine! We intended to return and strongly recommend it. We are not persuaded into our opinion by the bottle of wine we were given on our departure!!! Reviewed By Alan HGreat Hotel. We arrived very wet after a big thunderstorm and the hotel had a great boiler room were we were able to get out kit dry. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Great to get in and get showered after getting so wet. Great variety on the menu and the beer is good.

Restaurant for the better fresh fish dishes
Reviewed By Robert JIn this lovely village where you can be a tourist without feeling like a tourist, where you can blend in with the locals, where the charm of the village remains without selling their soul to the mass tourism, you have this nice fish restaurant. The main focus is the fish, but some other dishes are available for those who prefer something different. Do keep in mind the kitchen might close a bit earlier, which is not that strange in this area. The lady who was serving the tables did an excellent job and made us feel home and very welcome. Despite being busy a personal touch and created time for answering questions and helping out in making our choices. The second time we came back she even welcomed us and reminded we were there before. Our compliments, not happening often. The fish dishes were nice and tasty. Good size portions and for very reasonably prices and of good quality. We really enjoyed the times we had dinner here. When we are in town again then we will be back again as it is one of our favorites.

Regine and her team are the best you can get. Everyone is always at service, rooms are very clean, breakfast and dinner are fabulous.

Beautiful location and perfect hosts
Reviewed By Grover1665During a month long trip into Europe Lofer became a great stop over for us. Not knowing the area we booked a couple of nights at the Farberhaus and were not disappointed in the least. Our hosts were lovely, warm and kind and offered a great place to stay and explore the area. Situated by a fast flowing river and with and amazing views of the surrounding mountains we slept like a log and had a brilliant time. Would definitely be back for more!!
