Reviewed By 965mrodriguezI stay here every time! employees are so friendly and consistent! The hotel is clean and I love the pool, it is so clean. The rooms seem to be recently renovated and the beds are so comfortable. I will definitely be back every time i visit Lockhart.

Reviewed By Tracy BDon't do it! We just got back from our stay. If this place is $59 a night or less then you do get what you pay for. It's obviously old. It's very noisy as it's right on the street at a red light so you will hear the cars. Also, we heard a lot of noise from the other rooms. It was just overpriced. I would not stay here again.

Intriguing guesthouse in a curious town
Reviewed By Will_Work_4_AirfareThe price was good for my large upstairs room (#2: Temple Room). There are no bedside lamps, which is odd, but otherwise everything was in good order. The decor is eclectic funky modern Texas, especially down on the 1st floor, where a large kitchen and adjoining living room reside. What wasn't entirely clear to me at first was that this is not a B&B, and not a staffed rooming house, and certainly not a hotel. It's 4 guest rooms, each with private bath, in essentially an AirBnB farmhouse that you might be sharing with other guests. I was alone the one night I stayed there, and felt safe and a little bit fortunate, as I had the place to myself. The owners have done a very good job with the remodel and the decor. Check-in was problem-free for me. My overnight in Lockhart was a boondoggle on a business trip. I'd go back to the Ellison House, mainly for its unique charm and convenience to the center of this curious little town.
