The young lady that takes care of breakfast as well as dinner, I believe her name is Christina, always goes out of her way to make exactly what I’m looking for. Burger for dinner cooked perfectly, and don’t forget the fried green beans! Poached eggs cooked exactly medium and toast and grits gets me going in the morning. . .keep up the great service.

Okay place to stay.
Reviewed By kates5283We stayed here for a few nights over Spring Break and it was chilly so I cannot comment on the pool area, as we didn't use it. The hotel itself was okay. The staff was very friendly upon check-in, recommending a few places to eat and also a traffic get around into Atlanta, but that's the only interaction we really had with them. The room was pretty clean and we appreciated the suite option so that we had a pull out couch and our kids didn't have to share a bed. However, they didn't have a blanket for the couch bed so we had to use our own, which we, thankfully, brought for our son in the car. The biggest reason I knocked a few stars off was because of the breakfast and dining area. We always stay within the Hilton family and, usually, at Hampton Inns. There wasn't as much variety or stocked items as we have had at other locations and they ended breakfast earlier than other hotels we have stayed in. Not only the lack of variety because, hey, its free and we shouldn't complain, but the breakfast area was just not clean. The fish tank was absolutely disgusting and well past needing cleaning. The carpet, tables, seats...everything just didn't feel clean at all. I actually wiped off our seats and table with Clorox wipes I had in my purse, which I should not have to do. We opted to eat out the other days for breakfast. Like I said, staff was great and room was okay. I wouldn't probably stay here again, but it also isn't the worst place I have stayed. I would place it somewhere in the middle.

Just south of I-20, our hotel is within five miles of Six Flags Over Georgia and Sweetwater Creek State Park. We're down the road from Six Flags Industrial Park and dozens of businesses. Downtown Atlanta is 15 miles away. Unwind after a busy day in our large lobby with 24-hour snack shop or go for a swim in our heated indoor pool.
Nice hotel- few hiccups
Reviewed By Stephanie PI really like the vibe of the Tru by Hilton properties. The lobby is very inviting and great for families. Most that I’ve been to do not have a pool, but this property did have an indoor pool. My kiddo was quite excited about that, but was disappointed by how crazy cold the water was. He did his best, but I made him get out when his teeth were still chattering after 20 minutes. He got out without complaint and that says a lot for a seven year old. The room was very clean. Unfortunately, someone had carved their name on the headboard, not the hotels fault and didn’t effect my stay. The Tru brand usually has soaps and shampoos that I really like, but the soap was empty and I had two conditioners, no shampoo. The room, otherwise was comfy- good beds/pillows. The people upstairs were exceptionally loud until around 11pm and started back up around 8am. Not the hotels fault either & I could’ve reached out, but didn’t. Lots of places to plug in devices & a big tv. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent! I’d definitely give them another chance!

The breakfast was ok I have had better and worse. The lady working the bar was nice and friendly her name was Helen.

Rude and unprofessional

That being said, the front desk was rude and over looked us after our reservation was cancelled without our knowledge. We did receive a call from an Atlanta number but we dont answer calls from random numbers. No voicemail was left, and after I argued this to the receptionist she claimed that there was no contact information on file. How pathetic, you’re suppose to accept fault no matter what and apologize not lie to my face. Not once did I hear an apology from her. I had to rebook my reservation and hope there were still rooms. If this room wasn’t so cheap I would have left immediately. This hotel and its staff does not meet IHG standards

Good hotel
Reviewed By Davin DHotel is in a great location and convenient to many other attractions that are around. One thing later in the evening the restaurant locations nearby were very slow and took a little bit longer to get things done. Not a knock on the hotel but is the area that the hotel is in so take that into consideration when planning.

Less than expected from a Marriott property
Reviewed By furney4This is my experience: I am a bongos Marriott rewards member. I really like Marriott properties and their service. Lately, the service aspect has been less than desirable. We checked in on a Friday night (4 pe) discovered the bathtub did not drain when we showered and only had to bath towels. Saturday morning at 9:30 am, asked the frint desk for 4 bath towels and someone to fix the drain. We left for the day. Sent several chats in the app, no response as to either request as fulfilled. Returned at 10:30 pm to find nothing had been done. No towels and no drain was fixed. Called the front desk, with the response that they were full and had a shortage of towels but they would take mine , wash them snd bring them back. She had no knowledge as to why the drain was not fixed. The towel issue was expedited and we did receive our towels quickly. 4 showers, tub not draining. It’s like standing in a swamp of dirty water. Check in face to face the next morning after writing a long note at 5 am in the bonvoy app regarding my disappointment with the service regarding the drain issue, no one asked about how my stay was. I mentioned that they may want to have someone look at the drain in the room before the next person checks in. Their response was”what room was that”. I left very disappointed in their service and lack of concern for repeat customers. I hope this was a one time thing. However, I have stayed at other Fairfield Inns and I would say the friont end service is about the same, you really have to go to one of the Marriott’s nicer hotels to get better customer service and then that is still questionable.

Great Staff, average property
Reviewed By Kimberly GThe customer service is great. Susie at the front desk was awesome! I called the day of my arrival and spoke to her on the phone. She remembered my name when I arrived that night and held brief conversations with me throughout my week long stay. The other staff seemed nice, but Susie’s personality shined. The manager was also very nice and accommodating. I asked to change rooms on day 2 because of traffic noise from I-20 and was able to look at the new room (on the other side of the hotel) prior to acceptance. I decided to stay in my original room because the new one had an odd smell. I also saw some hotel guests from the window outside the new room shooting dice. There was ample free parking. The hallway had an old smell but it was tolerable. The free breakfast was good. There was a pool and exercise room but I did not get a chance to use either of them. There was a mini fridge and microwave which came in handy. The bed slept nicely. The other room furnishings need updating, but the tv was vey good. There was no toilet paper holder and the hair dryer would not stay on long enough to dry my hair. The doors on the rooms needed a paint refresh. I was happy that there was no carpeting in our room. The flooring looked relatively new. Overall, this was an average hotel.
