Shocking. Ladies on check in did not even say hello. Made me feel like I inconvenienced them. Then I was out next to a family with an interlocking door. Noise all night. And they had dogs which barked. Not rhe dogs fault. This hotel was not full. Why put business people next to holiday makers. Paper thin walls and doors. I stay in a lot of Holday inn expresses for work and this one I will never stay in again. The worst nights sleep I have had this year. Could here next doors conversion or my tv.

Grade II* listed stables house our 5 Star luxury bedrooms all with hand made Vi-Spring beds. Breakfast is taken across the courtyard in the dining room of historic St. Johns House. 100 metres from The Garrick theatre and little more to all of Lichfields charms. Our breakfasts are becoming legendry only equalled by our service. St. Johns House... Traditionally Luxurious.
We had high hopes with this place but there are just a few things that St John's House need to get right. Importantly, the breakfast was fantastic. We had a room at the Stables. It was a hot day (for England) when we arrived. On entering the room, we found that the radiators were blasting. Only one radiator had a valve which we could turn it off. The reception kindly turned off the heating at the mains. Sadly the heating came on again after a couple of hours. The design of the bathroom was weird with the bog being right against the wall and (heated) towel rail.

Situated within a restored 18th century property, The Hedgehog brings together original features, spacious gardens, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to provide the best value accommodation. Set in a pretty medieval city, this bed and breakfast hotel in Lichfield will allow you to enjoy a comfortable night's sleep, as well as great seasonal pub food, cask-ales, and carefully-chosen wines. Within easy reach of the M42 and the M6 Toll, as well as the commercial hub of Birmingham, The Hedgehog is also perfectly placed to act as a base for business travellers.
Booked The Hedgehog in Lichfield for a two night stay in January so we could attend a wedding in April. On the morning we were due to arrive they cancelled the fist night. No apology, no attempt to find alternative accommodation and given implausible reasons for the cancellation from hostile staff. Don’t bother with this hotel unless you enjoy being let down at the last minute.

Our quiet and cosy hotel is perfectly placed for a visit to the National Memorial Arboretum, and very close to the historic city of Lichfield too. Whether you're with us for business or pleasure, we'll make your stay an enjoyable one. Pay your respects strolling through the beautiful landscape of the National Memorial Arboretum and spend some time in the hidden gem of Lichfield cathedral city. Then return and recharge with our comfy beds and a lovely meal at the restaurant just next door.
Absolutely awful. Lied to by the receptionist, room was not very clean, restaurant next door closed. We left shortly after checking in, we'd rather drive home than stay here. We've in lots of Premierinn's but this one is terrible.

Swinfen Hall Hotel is a magnificent Georgian manor house set in 100 acres of parkland incorporating formal gardens, a private deer park, wild hay meadows and woodland. Flatscreen TVs, DVD players, IPOD docking stations and free wi-fi are standard in all our bedrooms alongside bathrobes, mineral water, a good selection of guest amenities and a well-stocked hospitality tray. We also have a magnificent oak-panelled Edwardian ballroom with a raised stage and fully-sprung dance floor, which is a wonderful venue for wedding receptions, presentations and private parties. We are proud to be an AA Inspectors Choice Red Star hotel - come and visit us and see what this means. Although a haven of peace and calm, Swinfen is just 30 minutes from Birmingham city centre, easily accessible via the M6, M42 and M6 toll road.
Having recently visiited Swinfen Hall an paid over £200 for one night. in the Lichfield Room. The room itself is pleasant enough with views over the Deer Park, however the room did not have a fridge and the coffee making facilities were limited, no nilk ? Milk had to be requested from reception which we did on three occasions, it was eventually delivered to the room in half full small metal churn. By morning the milk was sour. 2 Complimentary bottles of water were warm as they could not be refridgerated. The Nespresso coffee machine had only three pods, two decaff and one colimbian. We asked for more but they never arrived. The remote was not working as it should. Latterly, the shower over the bath could not be adequately controlled an was too hot to stand under. Sorry Swinfen Hall but you should not trade as a high end hotel whilst just relying on the views from the room and the grounds whilst having poorly equipped, so called deluxe rooms. I am aware that the Hotel is going to be renovated but I feel that until this has taken place and the rooms fully equipped to an acceptable modern day standard, then your prices should reflect the facilities you hace now.. You cannot live on views alone.
