From the minute we arrived the staff were so kind and helpful and always on hand to offer recommendations. The location is amazing, we couldn’t have asked for a better area to stay. The breakfast was lovely, with lots of variety and the evening meals were fantastic! The rooms were lovely, with fresh towels and the comfiest of beds!! Can’t wait to visit again!!!

Welcome to the Soleil des Neiges, a friendly hotel, generously served cuisine and a relaxed atmosphere in a preserved setting. In winter the doors open out on the ski slopes and ski lifts. In summer the Ubaye Valley offers hiking trails and a multitude of activities. We have a indoor swimming pool reserved to the hotel's guest
The young lady by the reception was very friendly, the rooms are very old, smal beds, renovation would be important, the service in the restaurant, was so rude... they hate Germans. I would avoid the restaurant

Stayed for one night during a road trip. A typical Alpine chalet, right by the skiing track in the village of Sauze. During the Summer, the village seems very quiet and calm, but we only arrived around 8 o’clock, so maybe that’s why. The hotel was pretty quiet as well, I believe their high season is only during the Winter. Had a room overlookig the mountains and the closed ski lift. The room was on the small size, but they usually are in these kind of hotels. The bathroom was lovely, with a bath. All seemed new and definitely clean. The receptionist was great, friendly and helpful and quick. Breakfast, though, was in my mind overpriced for what’s offerred (around 15€). Overall, good experience!

I just returned from a week ski trip with my 5 year old daughter. It was an excellent family environment. I LOVED not having to shop for groceries or cook. My daughter adored the kids club even though there weren't a lot of children. The adults were warm and fun. And even with my daughter's moderate French abilities, she seemed to make friends easily. I enjoyed meeting other families at the family-style meals, trading stories and ski tips. The staff take the children to the ski school (and return) if they are enrolled and parents have a little extra time to hit the slopes, get to their own ski class, or just have 15 minutes for a quick shower before lunch! Lots of board games, community time, etc... No tv or wireless in the rooms, but I didn't expect this. There is wireless in the reception/bar/restaurant area. At the end of the week they collected all of the medals that the kids had earned at ski school and did a medal presentation for the parents. The kids were SO proud of themselves. All in all a GREAT family getaway! It's a no-frills hotel. Be prepared for no maid service, small rooms, etc... But the emphasis is on the community. We were there during the school break, so it was full of families...perfect for us. I imagine the type of community could change depending on the time of year.
