The BEST WESTERN Le Relais de Laguiole welcomes you for a friendly, relaxing and gastronomic stay. Avaibility and Attention are our key words regarding each and every one of our clients. You will appreciate the warm environment of our rooms that unite two distinct styles: the wooden floors evoke warmth of a real mountain lodge while the decor recalls magnificent provencial colors. Discover the comfort of our cozy and spacious rooms; taste our “terroir” cuisine with various Aubrac specialties and enjoy our Spa with swimming-pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and sun lounge. If you want a more intense moment of relaxation, our beauty treatment center offers a large variety of massages as relaxing back massage, hot stone treatments, facials or water treatments. The hotel enjoys a central situation in the world famous village of Laguiole well known for its knife and perfect point of departure for discovering among others the Aubrac plateau and the Saint-Jacques de Compostelle villages, the Lot Valley or the famous village of Conques, a Unesco World Heritage site.
Despite initial impressions - and this is going to date me as it looks a bit like Crossroads Motel - this hotel turned out to be a bit of a gem. The rooms are a little tired but clean and perfectly adequate however the pleasant surprise of our night's stay was the dinner which proved to be quite delicious. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. (A trip to the Laguiole knife factory (10 minute walk) is well worthwhile though can end up being expensive! If you don't fancy a walk there is a well-stocked shop directly opposite the hotel.)

very happy to come here again after 5 years, the food is terrific, we had a 3-course meal tonight with an amuse bouche and some post desserts. The fish course was spectacular. It was St. Peter's Fish (John Dory) with polenta, lobster sauce, zucchini, and carrots. In French, I think they call it St. Pierre's Fish.

The idea is original but it lacks the main welcome and love of the profession. The bedrooms are bedrooms there is no charm, to help out one night it will. the region is wonderful I do not necessarily recommend this Hotel restaurant.

We stayed for two nights to take in the tour de France in July 2019. This is an excellent little hotel with very friendly owners and staff. We had a large room on the top floor (not fully accessible as there is a half landing beyond the lift) which looked out to the back of the hotel. Lovely bathroom. Breakfast was very good - a lovely selection of bio jams, great bread and croissants, local cheese, cold meats, yoghurt, cereals and juices. Very good indeed. So much so that we were too full for our planned lunch from the fabulous boulangerie round the corner! The breakfast room is light and sunny - with a grand view down the street. (Which was particularly good for watching the Tour preparations as it was coming right outside). Lovely swimming pool (but a bit cold!). jGood on site parking. Would certainly stay here again if we were in the area. Very highly recommended.

As far as "gîte d'étape" go, the gîte de Laguiole is definitely at the top of the range in terms of comfort, cleanliness and facilities. It's well located right in the centre of Laguiole -head for the tourist office and then you'll see a sign for it. There's a choice of rooms or dormitory accommodation, and also a nice big common room with plenty of books for relaxing. When the weather is good, you can also relax on a large terrace. The building has been beautifully renovated by the owners, with a lot of attention to detail. Breakfast was good, and we enjoyed talking to the friendly owner, who is a mine of information about outdoor pursuits in the Aubrac.

Hôtel in Laguiole with 4 lovely rooms. Restaurant and wine Bar.
Pefect to drop your lugages, spend a quiet sleep in a clean, tidy room ( including bathroom) and budget friendly. You'll be ready to visit the country and maybe as me go to the "Michel Bras" restaurant (not really budget friendly this one). Parfait petit hotel, sympa, tranquile, chambres tres propres, quoi de plus pour visiter l'Aubrac en tout serenite?

Unfortunately, the wrong time of year to enjoy the area; snow and ice and everything closed!. House cold on the first night we sat with coats on by the fire. This wasn't a cosy, cocooning experience. 15 euros charged for breakfast on top of the 150 euros a night : 1 croissant, 1 pain au chocolat for 2 no fruits, yoghurts, eggs as in previous reviews Very poor rapport qualite/prix. No milk with room tea/coffee, Interestingly, all reviews were about the previous owners Accomodation was spotlessly clean and well appointed host charming but the place definitively lacked warmth This place is ideal for young active famillies and older sporty couples as the situation is fantastic for hiking and exploring the area

They don‘t react on e-mail- booking. When you call, no one speaks anything but french. When we arrived, they didn‘t give us any of the promised rooms but a dark hole with a small window with no view anywhere, without announcing that there is a problem. We felt like in prison and left immediately.
